*Intra-Positional Draft Rankings - illegaloctopus - 10-03-2019 Instead of a traditional mock draft, I will instead rank the prospects in their relation to the other members of their positional group. Lots of people have already made drafts that look at team needs and the first round or entire draft, so I will provide my personal ranking of the prospects in those positions. This ranking will only focus on actives, those that have updated since 9/14/2019, or those that have updated since 9/7/19 but have also been active on the forum recently. Note: I am more familiar with the Luchador players, so I will naturally favor them. Take that into consideration. Sorry if I missed anyone, I kinda got distracted by the end if you can tell. QBs: There are three active QBs available in this draft, Jay Cue, Johnson Harding, and Philip Helmet. 1. Jay Cue (224 TPE): The number one QB available in this draft is easily Jay Cue. Cue had a great DSFL season for the Portland Pythons, culminating in an Ultimini loss and a MVP award. He tied the single season touchdown record, however he threw 6 interceptions in his last 2 games. Cue went 205 for 340, for 2400 yards. He threw 22 touchdowns and 13 interceptions, and an 87.4 rating. His 60.3% completion percentage led the league in qualified passers. He also led all qualified passers in QB rating. Cue has great potential to be the next great QB in the league, the only thing holding him back is the lower need for QBs. 2. Johnson Harding (160 TPE): Johnson has good potential, but is currently 40 TPE behind Cue. Johnson did not have the DSFL success that Cue had, going 117 for 223 and 1224 yards. He would throw 2 touchdowns and 6 interceptions for a 60.5 rating. Johnson was hampered by his team’s lack of talent, the Northfolk SeaWolves. Johnson has potential, but requires significant development. 3. Philip Helmet (65 TPE): Philip ruined the S18 Rookie Send – Off / Pro Bowl thing. While technically active, any team that drafts him is cursed and will rue the day. RBs: There are 7 active RBs in this draft class, Marcella T?riki, Ruff Ruff, Fuzzy Dotson, Mathias Hanyadi, Paco McTaco, Charles Allan, Orien Drake. 1. Marcella T?riki (209 TPE): Marcella combines both activity and TPE, having the highest TPE of the active RBs. She projects as a mid – first round draft pick, and should be able to provide high-level running back play for whatever team drafts her. She led the DSFL in rushing yards with 1785 yards, 300 yards more than second place. This came on 430 attempts, nearly 130 more than second place. She combined 9 touchdowns with 4.2 yards per rush. With a season long of only 22 yards, there are concerns regarding Marcella’s breakaway speed. 2. Ruff Ruff (199 TPE): At second place comes Ruff Ruff, San Antonio’s leading rusher. Ruff Ruff has the ability to be drafted in the first round, as he rushed for a full yard per average more than Marcella, at 5.2 yards per rush. Ruff had only 279 rushing attempts, accumulating 1438 yards, good for 3rd in the DSFL. Ruff had 14 touchdowns on the year. Ruff Ruff may not be the first running back off the board, but he should be a benefit to any team that drafts him. 3. Mathias Hanyadi (162 TPE): Hanyadi rounds out the top three RBs, and while he falls behind in TPE, his greater DSFL stats bring him into third in the rankings. He had a solid year goin 1430 yards on 275 attempts. He finished with 8 touchdowns. 4. Fuzzy Dotson (167 TPE): Fuzzy and Hanyadi are very close in TPE, and near interchangeable in the rankings, but Fuzzy’s lack of production (more Tijuana’s fault than his own) placed him third in the rankings. Fuzzy’s willingness to put the team before himself is a positive for whatever NSFL team drafts him. 5. Paco McTaco (141 TPE): Paco rushed for 1152 yards, doing it at 5.3 yards per carry. He should be a benefit to any team that drafts him. But he did play for Portland, which definitely hurts him. 6. Charles Allan (124 TPE): While having less TPE than Drake, he has been active more recently than Drake, putting him ahead of Drake. 7. Orien Drake (136) TPE: Has not updated in the last few updates, but was active on the forum recently. WR: There are 5 WRs available in this draft: Tyrone Biggums, Bender B. Rodriguez, Jake Dropson, Asher Quinn, Ron Mexico. 1. Bender B. Rodriguez (210 TPE): Bender is behind Tyrone in TPE, but he produced better numbers in the DSFL. Bender was the leading receiver for the Luchadores, finishing with 912 yards, 5 TDs, averaging 15.2 yards per reception. Bender would be a great WR for any team that is looking for receiving help. 2. Tyrone BIggums (220 TPE): Barley behind of Bender, Tyrone is the highest TPE in this draft, but did not produce at the level the Bender did. He finished the year with 774 yards and 6 touchdowns. Tyrone may have been hampered by San Antonio’s focus on rushing, as he could take a big step forward in the NSFL. 3. Asher Quinn (97 TPE): Solid 4. Ron Mexico (85 TPE): Solid 5. Jake Dropson (195 TPE): Literally undraftable lol. Dropped so many passes he changed his name. Dude is super active I guess. TE: There are 3 of these guys: Steco Ocewilder, Earl Sauce, Kreboktaflons Kwemen. Hall used to be a TE but he wimped out. What a slut. 1. Steco Ocewilder (192 TPE): Steco was the only active rookie TE to finish above 500 yards, at 534 yards. He almost reached 200 TPE before the draft, and should be the first TE off the board. He combines production and TPE. The low priority of TEs in the NSFL hurts his draft potential. 2. Earl Sauce (133 TPE): Ear is the second best TE in the draft, finishing with 188 yards and two touchdowns. His is active however, and could be a good investment for the team that drafts him. 3. Kreboktaflons Kwemen(89 TPE): Based on name alone this dude should be drafted in the first. Offensive Line: 4 Big Bois, Chas Thadsson, Givussafare Rubbe, Samuel Bakhtiari, Footballer Blockerman 1. Samuel Bakhtiari (138 TPE): The biggest question regarding O-line men is will they remain active. Sam’s high moral is a good sign that he will remain active long enough to contribute to the NSFL team that drafts him. He should pay off in the long run for whoever drafts him. 2. Givussafare Rubbe (152 TPE): A higher TPE than Sam, and should be the second big boi off the board. 3. Footballer Blockerman (134 TPE): He’s got a fitting name, and solid TPE. A safe investment in the later rounds. 4. Chas Thadsson (55 TPE): This guy updated 9/28/19. He is the only S18 player to do so. Neat. Safety: 6 Safeties in this draft: Pete Parker, Joseph Wozniak, Mike Hockhertz, Oswalt Grimnir, Howard Ryan, Wayne Howyanow. 1. Pete Parker (220 TPE): Pete has by far the most TPE off the available safeties and is very active. He finished with 98 tackles, Two forced fumbles, one fumble return, and one sack. Pete is the fastest safety in the draft, a huge positive for his position. Pete could be an early round draft pick for however drafts him. 2. Joseph Wozniak (176 TPE): Joseph comes in second in TPE for the safeties, being a member of Tijuana’s vaunted secondary. Joseph doesn’t have the stats of Pete or Howard Ryan, but shows great activity. Perhaps his greatest contribution to the league is the fact that it was him that started the train of events that led to Jake Watson changing his name to Jake Dropson. Joseph Wozniak was projected as a third round pick a few weeks ago, but may have moved into the early second round recently. Wozniak had 64 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 3 sacks and 2 interceptions. 3. Mike Hockhertz (160 TPE): Mike led all safeties in sacks, with 4, from his strong safety position. Mike is the highest rated SS, and could be the second safety off the board if a team is looking for a strong safety instead of a free safety. Mike had 54 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, and three interceptions. Generating 5 turn overs, Mike showed true talent there. With his 3 interceptions and 5 PDs, he showed great pass coverage skills. He ranks very close to Wozniak, and either of them could be the second of the board. 4. Howard Ryan (130 TPE): Ryan accumulated 105 tackles, 4 interceptions, 7 PDs, and a touchdown. Howard Ryan doesn’t have the best TPE, but he generated great stats for the Luchadores. Ryan is the second best SS in the draft, and should be a solid piece for whoever drafts him. 5. Oswald Grimnir (138 TPE): Oswald’s 53 tackles, sack, 3 interceptions, and 4 PDs were a big part of the Coyotes defense. Oswald showed strong coverage skills, but his TPE keeps him from being in the top of the safety class. 6. Wayne Howyanow (122 TPE): While Wayne is the lowest rated safety, I believe that he would be a great pick. Wayne has been very consistent for the Luchadores, always outplaying his TPE. While Wayne is not very active outside the Tijuana LR, he is very active there. Wayne recorded 4 interceptions =, and played at an elite level in the playoffs. While he is held back by his low TPE, in a few seasons Wayne may be one of the steals of this draft. Cornerback: There are 6 cornerbacks available, Louisiana Purchase, Korrin Abernathy, Xavien Adams, Stuart Little IV, Juan Marston, and Caleb Beck. 1. Louisiana Purchase (201 TPE): The rookie class interception leader should be the first CB off the board, and is looking at a first round selection. Racking up 7 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles, Purchase was a turnover threat throughout the season. He managed 15 PDs, and 2 sacks to supplement his elite turnover ability. Purchase shows shutdown ability, and should be able to lockdown WRs for years to come. If your team needs secondary help, look no further than Purchase. 2. Korrin Abernathy (185 TPE): Korrin isn’t just a consolation prize for those that miss out on Purchase, he is a great pick in of his own. Korrin’s stats maybe lackluster, with 0 interceptions, and only 1 PDed. While teams might be scared of his lack of production, he had great potential for the NSFL. He is active, and should be a good locker room presence. 3. Xavien Adams (162 TPE): These 4 guys are pretty interchangeable, given that they are not Korrin or Purchase. Sucks for them but thems the brakes. 4. Stuart Little IV (151 TPE): 5. Caleb Beck (117 TPE): 6. Juan Marston (136 TPE): while rated last, any team that drafts Juan should be excited to get him in their locker room. Defensive End: Zach Hall, Fabricio Baldari and Mike Franchet. Hall’s late jump to DE catapults him to front of the list. 1. Zach Hall (181 TPE): Once a TE, now a DE. Nothing else matters. He is a slut for draft position. Hopefully teams remember that when they think of drafting him. However, he should be a great locker room guy, although he is guilty of rivalry theft. Dropson claims Hall is his superior rival, which really hurts honestly. I don’t want waste all the work I put in though, so I will not give up. 2. Mike Franchet (109 TPE): I like Mike. 3. Fabricio Baldari (154 TPE): Strong name game club, Fabicio is fabulous. Great player a huge position of need. Defensive Tackle: There are only two selections available at DT, Bjørn Ironside and John-Caleb Bradberton. 1. John-Caleb Bradberton (119 TPE): This isn’t even a question, as John-Caleb should be the first DT taken of the board. While he doesn’t have the money that Metalboi has, he makes up for it in spirt. This dude is active and should be an elite player for many years. 2. Bjorn Ironside (221 TPE): Bjorn’s lack of activity corresponds with his lack of production, racking up only 2 TFL, one forced fumble, and 5 sacks. While he may go above John-Caleb, that would be doubtful. Bjorn has been getting lots of negative attention in media recently, with most expecting him to go undrafted. He has never made any media pieces and most people don’t even know he is the league. Linebacker: There are 5 linebackers in the draft, and they are one of the most skilled groups in the draft, with the lowest TPE being 168. Maurice Virtanen, Net Gaines, Thudd Kassel, Marlo Smart and Junior Lopez should each be great picks. 1. Thudd Kassel (200 TPE): Thudd doesn’t have the highest TPE, nor does he have the second highest TPE, but these rankings aren’t solely based on TPE(except when I totally did that). Thudd is an amazing locker room guy, and is already GM of the greatest DSFL team. Thudd pushes his teammates forward, and any NSFL team would be lucky to have him both on the field, and on the team. While I rank him highly, he may end up being the third LB taken, given the high amount of talent in this draft. 2. Maurice Virtanen (226 TPE): Maurice does it all, stats, activity, TPE. Maurice leads all actives in TPE, but I rank him behind Thudd regardless. Despite this, I would expect him to be picked as the first LB, and I expect him to have great success in the NSFL. He is a guy that can lock down the center of the field and be a general for the defense. 3. Net Gaines (203 TPE): Another first round talent had 5 sacks, 5 TFL, and over 100 tackles. Net finishes out the Big 3 LB prospects, and would be a great pick at any point in the draft. I rank him third as I do not know him as well as the others. 4. Junior Lopez (168 TPE): The lowest TPE LB, but this guy shows up in big games. In the Ultimini championship, he warned Jay Cue not to throw near him, then when the game was on the line in the 4th quarter, he picked of Jay to seal the game for the Lucha. He is elite in coverage, with an interception and 11 PDs. Teams that pick him can expect him to only improve under pressure. 5. Marlo Smart (177 TPE): This guy set the single game tackle record for the DSFL, but falls to 5th only because of how strong this class is. He led the DSFL in tackles, but only had 1 PD and no interceptions. Kicker / Punter: Baxter Frost, Diego Espinosa 1. Baxtyer Frost (124 TPE): He went 16 for 20, with a long of 56. Strong showing for the rookie kicker. Has a strong leg. 2. Diego Espinosa (98 TPE): 17 / 22, with a long of 47. Slightly behind Frost, but still could help a team out. *Intra-Positional Draft Rankings - lamp_wizard - 10-03-2019 Dank and OL-pilled. *Intra-Positional Draft Rankings - Dylandeluxe - 10-04-2019 Woz doesnt hate me after all. *Intra-Positional Draft Rankings - Jepox - 10-04-2019 Wow the disrespect |
