DSFL Draft Review

Pick 1 – Portland Pythons select Willie B. Hardagain/Toasty - LB
As the obvious choice for the #1 overall pick, for Portland, he gasp goes to the Pythons. As a former GM of, and his clear want to go to the Pythons, Toasty becomes the first overall selection. The pythons desperately needed a linebacker and they got a max TPE earner who doubles as a recreate with their selection.
DRAFT GRADE: A
Even with the threats of holding out, Toasty was almost universally expected to go 1oa. He may not be the best player in this draft (cough, cough Sweet) but he definitely fits the Pythons much better than Sweet would have.

Pick 2 – Tijuana Luchadores select Avon Blocksdale Jr./iamslm22 – QB
Tijuana grabs another one of the best players in this draft at pick 2oa. With their former starting QB leaving rookie gms DylanDeluxe and goodfortunecoffee, they snatch arguably the best prospect in this draft. Slm is a former agent and Philadelphia Liberty Gm (Go Liberty) that is a max TPE earner as well as a recreate. Since nearly all QB’s stay down, he should captain Tijuana for seasons to come.

DRAFT GRADE: A+
Tijuana Luchadores are able to pick up a guy that not only has great locker room presence, but also a great person. He is the clear cut best QB in this draft (no offense to other QB’s, this is a testament to his greatness not your faults) and he is sure to light up the scoreboards and fan base.

Pick 3 - Kansas City Coyotes select Brock Phoenix/leafs4ever – QB
The Coyotes take a player here that is mostly out of need above anything else with another QB needy team (ahem Palm Beach) right below them. He is still a great player and as previously stated, Quarterbacks usually stay around so he should be good for Kansas City in the coming years,

DRAFT GRADE B
They didn’t take the best player available and Dexter Banks just left, but they were without a QB and needed this guy really badly. He is still a fantastic player and a near max earner, so he is still an overall good pick for the team and for the player.

Pick 4 - Myrtle Beach Buccaneers select Sweet James-Jones/sweetjamesjones – WR
Now this is where the fun begins. The best player in the draft fell to Palm Beach at pick 4. Sweet James-Jones also known as SJJ is a god among men. It’s just disgraceful that he fell this far. With Palm Beach with basically no receivers and an air raid offense, it’s a perfect match for everyone. A great way to start off these young GM’s careers.

DRAFT GRADE: A+
As said above, a great player and an even better fit, SJJ is the perfect pick for the Solar Bears right here. He writes a ton of media and is a max earner, TPE-wise and money wise. He is sure to be a fantastic locker room player and with Will Smith moving on, he is a great replacement and addition to the goat 50 TPE Bug Daldwin. He is nearly a guarantee to make the Pro Bowl for this year and beyond.

Pick 5 - Tijuana Luchadores select Gary Lazer-Eyes/sweetwater – S
Tijuana picks a safety to lead the defense with their second first round pick. A safety was needed by the Luchas and they got arguably the best one in the draft. A max earner and overall great guy (no drinking), Tijuana gets somebody that will hype up a locker room and keep the Luchadores winning (lol no TIJ Bad)

DRAFT GRADE: A
The Luchadores get a happy not alcoholic with this pick. They get somebody that is very active in the NSFL and will also hosts streams sometimes. He fits the team well and will be able to play at corner if the GM’s want him to. Another great pick by these rookie gms.

Pick 6 - Tijuana Luchadores select Mack Arianlacher/LordMacharius – LB
As much as it pains me to say it, Tijuana looks even better this year than they did last year with this pickup. With half of the first round picks, they put them to good use. The second best linebacker in the draft falls down here. Arianlacher is very active and is likely to be a 200 TPE by the end of this season.

DRAFT GRADE: A+

With almost any position in this draft, this pick fills a position of need; however this pick also looks to replace call-up Thudd Kassel as a leader of this team. A good player with high potential taken at pick 6.

Pick 7 – Norfolk Seawolves select Jacob Andrews Jr./Jacob – WR
Norfolk gets a top five player at pick seven. The rival of SJJ and JAJ is one to watch. Both landing on the two expansion teams, they look to compete for WRoty against veteran Jake Dropson (lol he isn’t winning). Already heralded as a Norfolk leader by Bex, “AirBex” looks to light up the league.

DRAFT GRADE: A-
Ron Mexico and JAJ look to make a nasty receiving core for Norfolk but, they took best player available without having that luxury. They got a great player and threat but with players such as Jayson Kearse, Jon Adams, and Mason Blaylock, etc, available, the pick could’ve been used to get a lot more team value. I love the player, but I don’t necessarily love the pick.

Pick 8 - San Antonio Marshals select Jayson Kearse/JaytheGreat – DE
San Antonio takes arguably the best defensive end in this draft class at pick eight. He appears to be a near max earner and, unless he pulls a Trae Bacon Sad, he should be able to push this team over the edge and allow them to move further in the playoffs and even possibly up to the Ultimas.
DRAFT GRADE: A

Pick 9 - Kansas City Coyotes select Mason Blaylock/Jay_Doctor – S
Mason Blaylock is a guy that should be able to improve this secondary by a lot. He also has appeared to be quite active in the discords as well as being an all-around fun guy. A great pick-up by KCC and a good locker room addition as well.

DRAFT GRADE: A+
This pick gets an all around high five from me. They get an active player all the way down in the 9th at a position of major need. Not only is he good on the field, he's good off of it as well. A 10/10 pick by the Gms.

Pick 10 - Myrtle Beach Buccaneers select Deondre Thomas-Fox/AndrewWarren13 – QB
This pick right here is the biggest steal of the entire draft class. While MB had to give up a 2nd next year to get him, they got a top 5 talent at pick 10! He already has 80 speed as a quarterback! The throw power and and accuracy are very close behind. A max earning QB that some reports have heard that MB was considering taking at pick 4, fell all the way to pick 10,

DRAFT GRADE: A+++++++++++++++++++++++++
It may seem as if i'm overhyping this guy, but he is a Michael Vick reincarnation. A left-handed player (lefties > righties btw) that is one of the fastest players in the league that can also throw the ball well. A really marvelous pick by these rookie Gms (FrostyHallway best BTW)

Pick 11 - Portland Pythons select Sean O’Leary/Blueline – WR
The Pythons decide to add an offensive weapon to Jay Cue’s offense. With Saba Donut leaving, the Pythons decide to draft another offensive weapon with Sean O’Leary. Already (almost) equal to Dropson’s hands, with 81 speed, he is sure to prove as a reliable target (with better hands than Jake lmao) in the coming years. He also made a great 8-bit avatar for himself.

DRAFT GRADE: B+
This pick only gets a B+ just for the fact that the guy below them, whos already on their team, fell. Unless Sean is open to playing TE they will not have a quality TE to start the season. Some may say that TE’s don't matter, but they do improve success. Just look at the NSFL

Pick 12 - San Antonio Marshals select Austin McCormick/Nokazoa – TE
The Marshals are able to get a guy that was the first s19 player. This man is a glorified s18 player and therefore has been adopted as “s18’s Child.” With his great sigs and awesome art, (see https://www.instagram.com/cobblehoofscorner/) he is a clear top 10 player talent-wise. He unfortunately fell all the way down here just because TE’s are not valued as much as they should be.

DRAFT GRADE: A+
San Antonio got a great locker room guy and a really nice person in general. He should be able to create separation with 79 speed (pending update) and 60 strength. It seems fitting that the son of s18 goes to the team that used to have the most s18ers.

Picks 1-12 Team Grades (In order of reverse s17 record)
Norfolk Seawolves: They only had 1 pick but made it count with a quality player: A-
Myrtle Beach Buccaneers: They got two top 5 talents so they can only get an: A+
Kansas City Coyotes: They were able to get a qualty safety and a QB, but were they right?: B+
San Antonio Marshals: With a limited pick slectiion they made it worl, picking up two studs: A
Portland Pythons: They got who they wanted, but was that who they needed?: A
Tijuana Luchadores: Wow, an already stacked team got even better, what a draft: A+
{TIJ still bad tho}
