The outlaws are the bad guys of the national simulation foot ball league so its obvious if you are there fans you are also a bad boy type rule breaker. This can be clear in the traditions of the fans. The national simulation footall league is famous for its over strict rules and no fun rules like no food or booze into the stadiums. Outlaws fans have been breaking those rules since they wrote them for the league. Why do you wonder? Well the outlaws have two age old traditions that have been around in the wild west since its settling. First is after a win the real die hard fans shoot off real guns into the sky from in the stadium. We dont know how they get the guns in but once I for reals saw a guy shooting a double barrel shotgun into the sky and this thing wasnt a sawed off one. The other tradition is sneaking in with real life catuses and throwing them at refs after bad calls when they are leaving the field during halftime and the end of the game. I think Arizona is the only place where the stadium has ballboys that have to pick bullets and catuses up off the field at the end of games and before the 2nd half.

Being a fan of the San Jose Sabercats was not easy this year. There were many times that fans should have given up hope, but for whatever reason... they did not.

After the third straight loss, One fan is particular showed up with a paper bag on his head, with slitted (cat like) eyes and some crudely painted on whiskers. He was shown a few times on the jumbotron and after the game, he got a small interview and was asked a few questions. He told the media that he is definitely a sabercats fan, but the record is kind of embarassing, so he felt that it was probably better to hide his face instead of being associated with the sabercats.

Something really interesting happened at the next game. A few more fans had the same simple paper bag on their heads with decorated cat like features. Again another loss. This continued on for some time.

Finally after a lot of losing, and more people joining in on the tradition, almost the entire stadium was wearing these bags on their heads... And finally, the sabercats won a game. When the game ended, everyone took off their bags and threw them in the air. A sabercat player was quoted saying: "The energy of the fans that game was amazing. I don't care if they wear bags on their heads, if they show up and cheer for us, I don't care what they wear... And I hope they will continue to be fans, bag or no."

The Wraiths put the fear of God into the opponents they face. The fans are no different. As the wraiths run out onto the field, all the fans in the stands scream at the top of their lungs as a battle cry announced to the world: the wraiths are about to take the field. Yellowknife was without a doubt the perfect location for this franchise, as the fans just get it. They understand what the wraiths are all about. The best 12th man in football for sure, as we have locked up numerous wins due to the opposing quarterback not being able to coordinate his offense efficiently due to the high pitch squeals ringing throughout his ears. We have all gotten used to it at this point. Hell, we practice with recordings blared through the stadium speakers, even a few of those speakers have blown. We never do, we embrace the screams and take them with the wins they result in. The results speak for themselves, we are 6-1 at home this year. Every opponent that leaves the stadium at the end of the night is said to have effects of blown eardrums and pounding headaches. Not us. We only have the sweet smiles brought to us by yet another home victory. Thank you 12th man!

The fans of the Yellowknife Wraiths have a strange; and heartbreaking to some, chant that they use when the Wraiths defense is defending on the goal line. With opposing offenses trying to break through and score a short yardage touchdown the fans loudly chant "Hold the door, hold the door, hold the door!" Inspired by the late great Hodor. It becomes even more Whitewalker-esque, or Wraith-esque when the defnesive line breaks through the line and makes something happen in the backfield, similar to the Whitewalkers breaking through the door while good ol' Hodor holds it tight. Mark Ramrio or Tyler Varga stabbing through the line and making a play to crush the end of the oppositions drive. The defense responds to this chant that the fans have created, getting fired up and ready to make a big stop. It is without a doubt a big part of the motivation for the Wraiths defense when they are digging deep to make a game saving stop. Pablo Sanchez has come up huge multiple times on the goal line this season for the Wraiths and he credits the fans with the motivation and fire he had to push that extra mile and make the huge stops. The fans are passionate and into every game, and it is clear that the team would not have the success they have enjoyed this far if not for their amazing fans.

Heading into Week 9 of the NSFL season, the San Jose SaberCats were as close to rock-bottom as a team can be in its inaugural season. They sported a 1-7 record and were the losers of six consecutive games. But then the Colorado Yeti came to town.

In what can only be described as a thumping, the Cats took the Yeti to the woodshed. Hanging a cool thirty on what was previously considered a good defense, the SaberCats captured their second win of the season and, in doing so, reinvigorated their fanbase. As has been described earlier, the Cats fanbase was beginning to resemble those of the Knicks or Jets, too ashamed to openly support the team but too loyal to jump ship.

The SaberCats fans were smart enough to know that beating the Yeti’s didn’t mean that their team was suddenly good, so they rubbed in the win they got. At the end of the game, the mailing address for the Yetis was posted on the JumboTron and all of the fans in attendance mailed thank-you cards to the team’s players for giving them their second win.

In preparation for the Week 12 matchup against Colorado, the SaberCats’ fans got a bit bolder, sending preemptive thank-you notes to the Yeti players for their third win. The strategy paid off as the Cats won that game 17-13. And thus, the Hallmark card tradition was born.

Probably the most frequently spotted banner in the Burial Grounds Stadium. The banner pays homage to Yellowknife's booming diamond mines and urges the team to put the pressure on their visitors. As we all know pressure makes diamonds.
