You got an image and but text over it. We typically like to see swaps of some sort if you wish to go with this more simpler style. As far as your text, I think you could have taken it out of the corner, and moved it over the player. Maybe add an outline on the "Myrtle Beach Buccaneers" of the lighter green variety?
