For Jackmerius Tacktheritrix, College football was always a breeze for him. Leading MSU in sacks every year, Tacktheritrix dominated his way onto scouts' lists through brute force. With comparisons to the great Terrell Suggs, the pressure is on for Tacktheritrix to translate his college success to the big leagues.
It is not common for new rookies to struggle in their first season, as they come in at quite a skill disadvantage. When asked about how he's preparing for next season, Tacktheritrix said, "All I know is that I have to work harder, work on improving myself if I want to play up to their level. A lot of eyes will be on me to lead the draft class this year, but I don't play for scouts: I play for my team, and I'm going to work as hard as I can to be the best defensive end in the league."
Some of the biggest praises received by Tacktheritrix's is his work effort, motivation, and athleticism. As a two-sport athlete, his athleticism is comparable to that of Michael Jordan attempting to be both a basketball and a baseball player. For TAcktheritrix, however, he is a successful pitcher and batter in two separate professional baseball leagues under the aliases of Pablo Sanchez and Randy Pole. "It can definitely be difficult at times to participate in three leagues, but I feel I am a better performer because of it," said Tacktheritrix on being a two-sport athlete. "My experiences in both sports will propel me to be an even better player for my team."
With a record-setting 42.0 sacks last season, scouts believe his defensive abilities from college will easily translate to the big leagues. Currently preparing to take the DSFL by storm, make sure to look for him in this season's upcoming draft, where many scouts have him as a consensus top-3 pick.
