In Week 13, the Colorado Yeti took on the Arizona Outlaws. The Yeti won their previous meeting 19 - 10. The Outlaws, however, would take this contest with a 15 - 0 victory. The Yeti were unable to get anything going offensively as quarterback Logan Noble was sacked 9 times by the stout Outlaws defense. Offensively, the Outlaws also couldn’t string together much, but it was enough to secure the victory. Outlaws QB Vincent Draxel was certainly happy to not be behind the Yeti’s porous offensive line tonight. Tim Pest of the Outlaws recorded 7 pancakes while protecting his QB and allowed 0 sacks. With the victory, the Outlaws have secured home field advantage for their upcoming playoff game against the Orange County Otters. The Outlaws are currently 6 - 1 at home and 3 - 0 versus the Otters on the season. The Outlaws will play the Otters in a meaningless game to close out the regular season in week 14. The Yeti meanwhile now find themselves in second place in the NSFC with a big upcoming game versus the Yellowknife Wraiths. Whoever wins that game will have home field advantage in the NSFC championship game.

The Baltimore Hawks faced off again the Orange County Otters in week 13. Even with the Otters looking ahead to the playoffs, they still defeated the Baltimore Hawks 24 - 17. This game featured two of the biggest plays of the season as we saw Hawks return specialist Matt Smith score on a 90 yard kick return and Otters defensive back Stanislaw Maddox score on a 53 yard interception return. The best overall performance came from Otters QB Mike Boss though. Boss completed 66% of his passes for 246 yards and a touchdown. Also, in a rare display of accuracy, Boss didn’t throw an interception! Next week, the Otters take on the Outlaws in a warm-up for their playoff matchup the following week and the Hawks take on the Sabercats to see which team will end up with third pick.

In the closest game of the week, the Yellowknife Wraiths orchestrated a fourth quarter comeback to top the San Jose Sabercats 20 - 19. The Sabercats held a 19 - 7 lead with 13 minutes to go in the fourth quarter. However, Wraiths QB Chris Orosz would lead his team down the field on two touchdown drives to put his team ahead. Orosz finished the game completing 70% of his passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns. On each of those touchdown passes, Orosz would look to his star wide receiver Josh Garden. The win sets up a week 14 showdown for the NSFC regular season title between the Colorado Yeti and Yellowknife Wraiths. The winner will secure home field advantage as they take on the loser of that game in the playoffs. Meanwhile the Sabercats now sit with the worst record in the league, a loss next week will guarantee them third pick in the upcoming S2 draft.
