Gettin' Mad

As I looked through the Pro Bowl Roster Voting, I, like everybody else, looked at their player''s position first and went to see if I was getting votes to make it into the Pro Bowl. As I looked at the results, I was pretty surprised to see the lack of votes that my player was receiving. These are 3 players and their stats.

Player A: 100 Tackles, 3 TFL, 2 FF, 1 FR, 4 Sacks, 1 INT, 5 PD
Player B: 121 Tackles, 3 TFL, 1 FF, 1 FR, 4 Sacks, 5 PD, 1 Blocked Punt
Player C: 69 Tackles, 4 Sacks, 5 PD

There are 3 players competing with each other for a spot on the Pro Bowl Roster.

Player A:

Obviously he was very effective at racking up tackles, 100 tackles is no small feat and he was also effective at getting behind the line of scrimmage to stop the other team in the backfield. He forced 2 fumbles and was solid in pass coverage. When comparing him to player B, the question becomes how do you equate tackles to interceptions? I believe that a blocked punt is the equivalent of a forced fumble, knocking the ball out and changing the field for the team. So the difference becomes one interception and 21 tackles. 21 more tackles would mean stopping the opposing ball carrier 21 more times. An interception is about a drive changer, but tackling a team 21 times means you have stopped them 21 times. Player A no doubt put together a great season, but the question becomes, do you value 21 tackles or 1 INT more?

Player A is Ian Bavitz.

Player B:

Player B has the most tackles on this list with 121 tackles, showing that he was very effective in chasing down the ball carrier before he could make big plays. Unless he chased him all the way down the field. 121 tackles is a lot of tackles for one man and is amongst the top in the league. He has the same coverage stats as Player A, minus the one interception. He also forced one less fumble, but blocked a punt. In comparison to player C, both of these players are clearly superior to his 69 tackles (hehe) and his similar looking sack totals. Simply put, I personally value the 21 tackles over the 1 INT that Player A (Ian Bavitz) had and believe Player B is the best so far.

Player B is Jaylon Lee.

Player C:

Easily the weakest resume, it is confusing as to why he is getting votes over Player B and people like Ernston. 69 tackles and 4 sacks are not Pro Bowl numbers and it is a shame that so many people are voting for him to be on the Pro Bowl team. He is a nice guy and a player who could have a lot of untapped potential, but simply put he doesn't stand ground with 5 other LBs in his conference.

Player C is Andy Krimlaw.

After looking at the stats, I am pretty confused as to why my player, Jaylon Lee, is losing to Krimlaw and semi-perplexed to Bavitz. They are both great players, but I believe that Lee has better stats and was the QB of the best defense in the league. When GM of the Otters, Shaka, was asked about whether he valued 21 tackles or 1 INT more he said the following:

"21 tackles"

So you tell me, why do you think that Jaylon Lee is losing votes to the likes of Krimlaw and Bavitz, who in my personal belief have inferior stats? Is it because more Otters have voted? Or are people just copying others who posted words above them? I will not sleep until I find the answer and I will not sleep until I am certain that Jaylon Lee will make the Pro Bowl in the ASFC.

No offense but its a popularity contest mixed with stats no one is going to go look up stats before they vote. Its whoever comes to mind for that position that also happens to be good. Just saying. :cigar:

Ignore me. I'm not a smart man. For some reason I looked in all of the NSFC ballots...

Pretty much. 64 positions to pick. Some people (guilty) are going to phone it in and move along.

So an underperforming hardly active Krimlaw comes to mind first?
