The Way Too Early S2 Mock Draft (Rounds 1 and 2) - TheWoZy - 07-07-2017

It's going to be rocky off season for the GM with the expansion draft coming up. They will need to replace their talented player with some new bloods. The S2 draft class would be very interesting with 2 new teams joining the league. Those two teams had the chance to see how crucial a position like the offensive line is for a team. This draft is surprisingly going full on the OL compare to last season. Let's get started!

1. LVL

select Dermot Lavelle – CB – YKW

Dermot Lavelle is the best player in this draft and he’s one of the best cornerback in the league. He’s tie first with Alex Hayden with the most interception and passes defended as a cornerback. There's no way you're skipping a superstar.

2. LVL

select Greg Clegane – OL – OCO

This team will probably add quarterback Josh Bercovici so Greg Clegane would be a great addition to their squad. He’s the top offensive linemen in this draft and potentially, will be selected to play in the pro-bowl for this season. He’s going to be a key for this team as the league is full of top level pass rusher right now and he can take them down.

3. SJS

select Tim Pest – OL – ARI

The Saberscats has gotten better with the acquisition of Ethan Hunt. Now, they will need to add some players up front. Tim Pest is another stud OL in this draft and will definitely help their offense much more.

4. BAL

select Vincent Sharpei - OL - BAL

Baltimore Hawks will be glad to keep their best OL. Vincent Sharpei didn’t have a great season so far but he didn’t had some teammate with him. The OL need to be fix for the Hawks and Sharpei is their only OL last season. He has one of the best IQ in the league which allow him to outplay the edge rusher with ease.

5. COL

select Scott Timlin - OL - ARI

Scott Timlin has a lot of upside in his play and can learn a lot from star OL Bender Rodriguez. Colorado desperately need an OL. They have a stud quarterback and 3 star running backs but they couldn’t play at their best without a good offensive line. Scott Timlin will be an impactful player on their offense.

6. OCO

select Fox North - WR - YKW

Fox North is a beast wide receiver and he would be a threat playing Robert Phelps and Bradley Westfield. He’s not as skillful as them but he could be as good as the two stars WR and he would be the most athletic WR on the team. Plus with Mike Boss and the otters OL, the otters could be the offensive team for a while.

7. YKW

select James Lilico - SS - YKW

There’s not a lot of strong safety as good as Isaiah Rashad but James Lilico can potentially be better than him. He hasn’t played much games but he showed a lot of talent with the Wraiths and staying with the same team would be great for his development. The wraiths will lose Lavelle and losing Lilico will be bad for the team and their DB.

8. ARI

select Blaster Blade - DE - ARI

Blaster Blade and Jayce Tuck are probably the best tag team in the league. Keeping the two together is the best move for the Outlaws. Jayce Tuck is the best DE and Blaster Blade is a top 5 DE in the league. The only reason he dropped in this mock draft is because there’s some rumors that he would only play for Arizona or else he would be a top 3 pick in this draft.

9. LVL

select Rich Gucci - TE - COL

Rich Gucci is strong, big and very athletic which can be troublesome for some DB. What makes him impressive is his speed. He’s as fast as the top WR in the league and he can catch the balls every time. He’s the best TE in the league right now and he would the best receiver on the team.

10. LVL

select Ardie Savea - RB - SJS

With Greg Clegane on the front and maybe a good quarterback, Team B should definitely pick up Ardie Savea from New Zealand. He’s a versatile all-rounder running back which give their offense a lot of option. He’s fast and strong and he’s good at pass blocking.

11. SJS

select Ben Green DT - YKW

Ben Green is a powerful DT. He isn’t fast compare to the rest of the league but his strength is his weapon. He can get pass of the OL with only brute force. He’s going to cause a lot of problems to the opponent offensive line.

12. BAL

select Isaiah McGinn - BAL

Baltimore doesn’t have a good safety beside the Isaiah McGinn. Keeping McGinn is a no brainer for the Hawks. He’s fast and very agile and he can intercept the ball. He will become a lot better with a full season.

13. COL

select Brokk Lee - OL - COL

Brokk Lee excel in run blocking and he will help the Yeti running a lot. He was a late addition to the squad and helped the Colorado Yeti to clinch the home field for NSFC championship

14. OCO

select Roman Thomas - FS - OCO

He’s the sleeper in the draft. He’s an energetic player and very aggressive. But sometime he tend to be more aggressive which can cause an easy pass to an wide open receiver. He’s IQ isn’t the best but he is getting better at a fast rate. The otters will probably a DB in the expansion draft so they should try to draft and keep Roman Thomas.

15. YKW

select Chidubem Okonkwo - DE - SJS

Chidubem Okonkwo is power rusher and recently declared for the S2 draft. He’s very strong and can take care the OL. He need to work out on his movement but overall he’s a skilled pass rusher and have a big upside. There’s some rumors that the Wraiths will potentially lose their pass rusher in the expansion draft. Okonkwo doesn’t have the potential of Blaster Blader but he has the skill to play in the nsfl now.

16. ARI

select Jordan Yates - OL - OCO

The Outlaws could use an athletic OL like Jordan Yates. He has already performed well so far for the Otters and would be a great addition for the Outlaws offense. Scott Timlin would be a bad loss for Arizona but Jordan Yates can be good as him or even better. He learned a lot from the superstar Angus Winchester. This pick would some much their running game which could help against the Otters.

The way some people have been talking about San Jose with the whole Hunt situation going on I hope I fall one more pick than this. With that being said though, if I'm not taken in the first teams will regret it

Good write up! While Hayden and Lavelle are first in interceptions listed as corner backs, keep in mind that Rashad is a FS playing CB.

Interesting read up. Surprising if it happens, with teams willing to possibly take chances on Clegane and Pest who stated they'd play for one team. I wonder if it's the truth or just talk. ????
