NSFL All-Time Draft - YoungTB - 02-22-2020
Reading @siddhus' article on his redraft has inspired me to finally start putting pen to paper on a media idea that I have had for quite some time now, that is an all-time redraft article with actual GMs. These players would be picked from every single season in one team fantasy style. At the end of the draft, the teams will be voted on in terms of talent by the public. The winner would receive either an NSFL award or IRL award supplied by me. Here are my ideas so far.
Basics
So what I'm thinking is that there will be a 10 team draft, with each GM being someone who is both interested and qualified, essentially someone who is brushed up on NSFL history. It will be fantasy style, meaning it will be in the format of:
QB
RB
WR1
WR2
TE
LB
DL1
DL2
CB1
CB2
S
In total, there will be 11 rounds, serpentine style, determined by random draft order. For each pick, the GM will be asked to write about why they chose this player and what makes them great. The summary can be as long or as short as they'd like. I will compile a list of stats for each player.
Logistics
The draft will most likely take place on a Discord server. Since not everyone can be on at the same time, it'd make sense to make the picks 12 hours long, like in NSFL Fantasy. I will keep track of each team.
Rewards
To make things interesting and motivate the GMs, I'm thinking that there will be a league-wide vote (or assemble a non-biased voting commitee) for "best team". This team should be voted on based on talent. The winner will receive either 10m NSFL dollars from a pool (not sure how this will work) OR an IRL award supplied by yours truly. Let's call it an Amazon gift card, 10 bucks?
