*Every (S22) DT Ranked - Billybolo53 - 02-27-2020 To past the time till the draft, I decided to take a deep dive into my fellow defensive tackles. This was fun project and I'm looking forward to where we will all end up. Methodology: I looked strictly at post activity. Tiers set by twitter, Wiki pages, and point tasks. Media gets you a big boost. Rankings within tiers completely subjective. Tier 1(4): Bluechip prospects with the highest upside. Have missed few opportunities. Tier 2(5): Just a few things missing. Active players. High Floor. Tier 3(7): A few high points, but missing quite a few things. Tier 4(12): Wildcards, hard to predict what you’re getting here. Class Archetype Breakdown - 16 Interior Rushers - 7 Nose Tackles - 4 Balanced - 1 Run Stuffer Tier 1- “The Blue Chips” 1. Phat Boi - Interior Pass Rusher- Norte Dame - The consensus number one defensive tackle and self proclaimed next face of the DSFL. Phat Boi is amongst the strongest prospects in the S22 class. Phat Boi is from Hawaii and lost his mother at an early age. His family struggled with financial hardships. All of this just added fuel to the fire to one of the most interesting and polarizing figures in this class. The Norte Dame product has garnered a lot of media attention and has a podcast that is a must listen. Phat Boi has taken advantage of the extra training time he gained by declaring early. The question is not if he will go to the NSFL, but how high he will go. The only question mark is if his off the field persona will cause any disruptions in the locker room. “This brotha walks off the bus like Joe Frasier in a fur coat and whips you for 4 quarters. The man can play.”- Steven A. Smith 2. Mamba Magic - Balanced - University of British Columbia - Only 19 Mo “Mamba” Magic has solidified himself as the clear number option behind Phat Boi. Born in Canada and after only one year of college ball at the University of British Columbia, Magic has decided to declare for the DSFl. He has a very active social media and looks to be a strong locker room influence. Has done everything to set himself up for longterm success. “I tell you what man, you see this Mamba Magic, kid. 19 years old, man. He’s gonna be real special. Light's don't get too bright for him.” - John Gruden 3. Deshun Jones - Balanced - Cal Poly SLO - A walk on at Cal Poly SLO, Jones is one of the quickest risers in this class. I had him as a sleeper pick just days ago, but he has shot up draft boards recently. You would expect a walk on from a small school to fly under the radar, but i think the secret is out on Jones. “You hear about my boi, Clayton jones, outta cal poly slo, skip? He may have been a walk on but all I see, is him walking all over the O-line” - Shannon Sharpe 4. Magnus Rikiya - Nose Tackle - University of Washington - Rikiya attended the University of Washington. While at Washington, he a saved a young girl's life in a car accident suffering potential career ending injuries. Through tireless rehab and amazing work by the doctors at the Washington school of Medicine he was able to make a full recovery and positioned himself as the best nose tackle entering the DSFL. Should be on every 3-4 teams radar in the DSFL and NSFL “Rikiya does all the right things, says all the right things and a top of that he’s a hero. Whats not to like” - Colin Cowherd Tier 2 - "Safe Bets" 5. Octavio Clemente - Interior Pass Rusher - Florida - Clemente is an international prospect out of the Dominican Republic. He is relatively new to football, but flashed as pass rusher at the Florida. He’s best attribute is his love of the game and willingness to improve. 6. Tristan Gronlie - Nose Tackle - North Dakota State University -Born in Wichita, Gronlie attended NDSU. Gronlie is a player that with a little coaching, has a high ceiling for success. A few tweaks coupled with his solid foundation can lead him to being a steal come draft night. It will take right program to maximize potential. 7. Clayton Jones - Interior Pass Rusher- UC Berkeley - From Long Beach, California, Jones and attended UC Berkeley. Jones has quietly put in work and invested in training to improve. He is a solid value pick that may fall deeper in a draft. A sleeper pick. 8. Denarius Crackle - Balanced - University of Rome -Another international prospect hailing from the University of Rome. Denerious has a big personality and came on strong at the beginning of the draft process. There are question marks about his work ethic and commitment to the game. 9. Kade Hines - Interior Pass Rusher -Cousin to retired LB Avery Thomas, Hines is looking to have more success than his family.Does he have what it takes to succeed where Thomas did not. Tier 3 "Boom or Bust" 10. Leeland Breeland - Interior Pass Rusher 11. Big Ed - Interior Pass Rusher 12. Matthew Curran - Nose Tackle 13. Lucas Faucher - Nose Tackle 14. David Banner - Balanced 15. Nuniq Annastesia - Interior Rusher 16. Godrick Fallstrum - Nose Tackle Tier 4 " Wild Cards" 17. John Nesbit - Interior Rusher 18. Hank Steel - Run Stuffer 19. Tony Baloney - Nose Tackle 20. Chad Zhao - Interior Pass Rusher 21. Paul Novotny - Interior Pass Rusher 22. Joe Montania - Interior Pass Rusher 23. Lee Jordan - Run Stuffer 24. Bucky Laurence - Interior Pass Rusher 25. Anthony DiNapoi - Interior Pass Rusher 26. Swalane Train - Interior Pass Rusher 27. Cam Burto - Interior Pass Rusher 28. Archideld Bonzalez - Nose Tackle All in all this is a deep class with some fun personalites. I’m a big fan of all my fellow DTs wish you luck in the future. Note: Check out @Tesla 's (S22) DT rankings here. Edit: I edited some of my grammar. The content has not changed. Wc: 1004 *Every (S22) DT Ranked - revuhlution - 02-27-2020 Quality info. I think Tristan Gronlie is going to surprise some people, though. *Every (S22) DT Ranked - Tesla - 02-27-2020 I really like your style and I think you did a good job on your rankings. Really like the class archetype breakdown as that is something I had not thought about. Happy to see my boy Magnus is a blue chip prospect in the eyes of someone else, but at the same time not so sure how I feel about him being praised by Cowherd. I guess can't complain about positive attention. Tristan could make a run for it. The league can only be made better by more prospects making a name for themselves. *Every (S22) DT Ranked - Forty Jordy - 02-27-2020 Nice to see Jones' hard work is getting noticed And I think I would have to put Clemente at tier 1 though with already 3 topics posted. Make sure you buy your training this week even without money in your pocket *Every (S22) DT Ranked - retrospace111 - 02-27-2020 would love to see you rank the CBs for the S22 class and don't forget Zamir Kehla *Every (S22) DT Ranked - Billybolo53 - 02-27-2020 @revuhlution Man you’ve been busy since I set my initial rankings. I did the ranking a few days ago. You would def be higher if I ranked today. The top of this class is amazing. Hoping I get paired up you with one of you guys. Edit: thought that Gronlie was your player, my bad *Every (S22) DT Ranked - revuhlution - 02-27-2020 Putting in work, bro. Not like you big boys in the trenches though.! You get the front, I got your back. |
