The crowd is empty except for a few low level reporters, nobody notices as Tom Sofa takes the stage. In fact they believe him to be the the volunteer assigned to disassembling the podium. After three attempts at getting their attention by clearing his throat they finally realize that he is actually a player and he is awaiting questions.

As the last pick in the draft, do you think that you’re playing with a chip on your shoulder now? Are you inspired to prove the teams that passed on you wrong with a solid performance this season?
Coming into the draft I knew I would be a low selection. Being a late addition to the draft pool, especially to such an overpopulated position, I expected to be taken late to a team that probably would try to convince me to position change. I never had plans of position changing and any teams that approached me I would tell. As we got closer to the draft I only had one team contact me and they wanted me to play somewhere other than QB so I told them it would not be a good fit.

Come draft day I just sat waiting and waiting to find out where I would go, rounds went by, hours went by, heck it even felt like days may have went by and eventually I finally got that locker room invite. Upon arriving to the locker room everyone was excited to have me and considered me a great steal as a 271st pick and as a "Mr. Irrelevant." Do I carry a chip on my shoulder? Not really, but do I want the other teams to feel like they have made 270 wrong decisions? Heck yes.

I love it here. When I first made it to the locker room everyone was so positive and I immediately got some great vibes. I've started to warm up to everyone and there really is no weird drama or divas that you might get with other teams. I think anyone who wants to be on a DSFL team should make Myrtle Beach their #1 destination.

I think any team can win the Ultimini in any season. This is a developmental league so we are all on the same level physically. That being said there is a difference when it comes to building a championship team and that comes down to coaching and culture, and I believe that Myrtle Beach has the championship caliber coaching and culture that will bring us that title.

I'm sorry I think you mean Tom. As for my long term plans I definitely do intend on staying at QB; that was my position yesterday, it is my position now and it will be my position tomorrow. The qualities I believe that will lend success to my plans is my determination and my strong arm. Teams undervalue the strong arm I think in this league, but I know there will be one smart team in the NSFL draft that will put faith into me, let me grow into the player they need and finally show the NSFL what a real QB looks like.

Hey Nate, playing quarterback in the NSFL has to be the most competitive position in sports. Are your long term plans to stay at QB? What qualities do you have that will make you successful there?

When you throw an interception, are you the type of QB who tries to play it safer on the next drive or does it drive you to be more aggressive and try to make a big play?

If there was a DSFL redraft tomorrow, where do you think you’d go? Do you think another team would pick you before Myrtle Beach got the chance?

How long is a rope?

So far, who's the best GM? Frost or Cory?

Anyone in the DSFL draft that you would consider steals or busts?

Anyone that you're glad to be drafted with?

What's your favorite sport? What team do you support in said sport?

Are you a dog person or a cat person?

Do you piss in the shower?
