Mike Boss Media Session - JBLAZE_THE_BOSS - 05-23-2017

Football Agency powerhouse JBLAZE Industries has announced their newest client: Mike Boss, QB. The Agency has a history of representing some of the most successful athletes in the history of simulated sports. Mike will take questions and there will also be an article published about him coming up shortly.

Note this originally had my article here as well, to keep things organized I put my article in the media section so this is separate to presser only.

Thank you all for taking the time to ask questions. If you have any questions for me after this, I'll be glad to answer them still.

@Official DT
1. What makes your player so special?

There's a lot that goes into being special. There's a lot of different kinds of special, too. I'm special on the field because I know the game. I'm a student of the game, and I'm always learning. I'm always watching tape, whether it's of our opponents or of old football games to try and find something to use against someone. I'm special because I'm a leader on the field. If the troops need to be rallied, I'm the first guy they look towards. I'm special because I'm an extension of the coaching staff on the football field. I'm special because I take pride in giving back to my community. All four years I played at BC, I organized several programs designed to help clean up our city as well as provide for our homeless. I'm special because I'm the guy you want your fans to think about when your team is brought up. I want to be the reason why fans of all of the other teams hate our team because we're too damn good.

2. Which team would you like to draft you?

The team that I would like to draft me the most is going to be the team that takes winning seriously. I want a coach that's going to be there for me and be able to show me the way. I want a coach that has a set system and has a plan for each week. I want the team that's going to prepare more than any other team prepares in order to come out on top. I know your question is kind of based around which specific team I want to go to the most, but I can’t really answer that. Right now, these teams are just names to me. These teams need to prove to me they're going to be the best at winning. Preparation is what leads to victory. The team that I want to be drafted by will be the perfect fit because we're going to be on the same page. I know there's a coach out there that's as crazy about this game as I am.

3. Is there any team you don't want to draft you?

The team I don't want to be drafted by is going to be a team that's lazy. A team that thinks they don’t need to work hard to be a champion. The team I don't want to be near is going to be the team that refuses to prepare. I want to be on a team that plays smart on the field and off the field. So, if a team doesn't know how to handle the game in front of us; or if the team makes foolish personnel and roster decisions; I don't want to go there. I'm going to judge these teams based on how they draft players and where they draft them. Smart GM's make good picks, silly GM's make bad picks, I don't want to be stuck with a GM that doesn't get it. Again, this is no specific team because they're all just names on a piece of paper. Right now it's a clean slate with all of these guys. They all have a chance to impress me, we'll see how they handle the opportunity.

@`Juice`

1. Do you think you're the #1 player at your position?

There's no doubt in my mind that I'm the best player at my position. I'm going to find the right coach and the right situation and I'm going to be a franchise quarterback. I understand that some GM's may have overlooked me since I played at BC and not one of the flashy schools they're used to, but I'm ready for the big show. I'm not going to disrespect any other quarterback in this draft class or that are already on teams. There are a lot of good quarterbacks in this league, but make no mistake about it, Mike Boss is the best quarterback in this league. There's good, and then there's great. I'm great, and I'm going to prove it.

2. What colleges approached you to join their recruiting classes out of high school?

Out of high school I wasn't exactly highly recruited on a national scale. It seemed like the only teams in the south that wanted anything to do with me were programs that were considerably bland and hidden deep in the swamps of the south with no chance at any kind of exposure, ever. Of course we know I ended up choosing Boston College, but it ended up being closer than I thought. When I was a little kid I wanted to play QB for the BC Eagles and I finally had the chance to do it. It was a life long dream but I still had to think about it twice. I had a chance to go to Washington State University and they really pushed for me hard. I went out and visited their campus and the Cougars rolled out the red carpet for me. They had a beautiful campus and a strong Greek Life presence of fraternities, a strong sense of unity. In the end I chose to follow my childhood dream and become the next great Eagles QB, but it wasn't easy at all.

3. Are you a pocket passer or a scrambler?

I'm absolutely the prototypical pocket passer. I model my game off of the all-time best QB's, not guys who were a flash in the pan and on the cover of Madden 13 years ago. I want to be like the NFL greats who were able to lead teams to multiple Super Bowl appearances, and in some cases, multiple victories. Greats like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning were pocket passers and I want to play just like them. There are enough receivers and running backs that scramble and are mobile, it's not for me. Now, I'm not saying I want to be a statue out there. If there's an opportunity for me to take a few yards for a first down, I'll do it, but scrambling isn't going to be my first priority. I want to move the ball downfield at an aggressive pace and that's done by throwing the football. I want to use the strength in my arm and in my head to move the ball for our team.

4. Was Mike Boss a two-sport standout or was he always a Football guy?

I was a two sport athlete up until I stepped foot on Boston College's campus. I played baseball and football for my entire life. I lettered in both sports in high school and my family actually had more of a baseball background than a football background. I was a first baseman as a kid, but ended up becoming more of a pitcher the older I got. Playing quarterback in football helped my arm develop and finally get to matching my legs in terms of strength. This allowed me to throw the ball pretty hard and I was effective on the mound. I could hit decently, only a couple homers per season but I hit around .290. There was never a chance, in my mind anyway, that I'd become a pro baseball player. This was until I was taken in the 43rd round by the Seattle Mariners, and I think that was simply a last second recruiting ploy by Washington State to try and sabotage me going to Boston College.

5. What's your favourite workout in the gym?

In the offseason, I really like to focus on circuit training where I work my entire upper body, do some sets, rest, repeat. This is also the time of year where I'm trying to really work on my cardio. The NSFL is going to be the fastest game I've ever played and I need to be prepared to have the endurance to bring the team down the field multiple times. To help my arm and help my legs recently I've been trying to work a lot more resistance training in there to make it easier once practice and the games happen. It's almost like using a bat donut to weigh the bat down and make your swing faster in baseball.

@ADwyer87

1.) Only 2 teams in the league dont have a QB already, Baltimore and Arizona. Which one would you rather play on?

Since you've asked me specific teams, it's hard for me to try and avoid the question but I'll do my best. The thing is Baltimore and Arizona would both be great places for me. Baltimore would be great because the climate is a lot like what I'm used to here at home in Boston. Baltimore fans have a similar attitude as Boston fans, maybe it's an East coast thing. I always hated the Baltimore Ravens growing up, so it'd be kind of funny if I ended up leading Baltimore to the NSFL title and make everyone forget about the Ravens. Arizona would be awesome because I'd finally have the chance to live a long way from home. Now that I've finished my time at BC, maybe it's only natural that I spread myself out over the country and call Arizona my new home. I love the warm weather and I hate shoveling, so that means I'd never have to deal with either. Arizona has a lot more snakes than Boston does, as well as a lot more Africanized killer bees. I'm sure I could afford a really nice exterminator with my first contract and get into a gated community where those things don’t exist. Plus, I could have a nice pool all year. Arizona is close to California, too, so there's a lot of positives. Both places would be fine by me.

2) If you get drafted to a team that already has a QB, how would you feel?

I would feel pretty upset about the situation, but if it's the only way I can play then I guess I'd have to deal with it. I would just hope that once the season unfolds and some of these guys show themselves for what they really may be, then do I get another chance to claim my rightful spot? Or do I have to spend my entire career wondering "What if?". I'll tell you what, if I end up not being the starting quarterback on a team, I'm still gonna play my heart out, but then they can't be upset at me if I explore other options down the line. Who's to say the NFL or CFL won't come calling? I'll be open and receptive to everything that comes my way, but let it be known: I am a quarterback and expect to be treated like one.

@timeconsumer

1) Can Mr. Boss' nickname be El Jefe?

It's funny you mention that, because in some ways that's already my nickname. When I took my first Spanish class as a kid, the teacher gave me the nickname Jefe. It kind of stuck, and for years people would call me Jefe. So El Jefe is definitely something I can get behind, and it's going to be even better if I do end up in a place like Arizona. Could you imagine all of the advertising dollars I could get marketing towards the latino community? El Jefe is here to make mucho dinero. You're onto something and I'll definitely consider giving you a cut of the profits I make off of this marketing gem. Don’t try and steal this from me, it's too late. I've already contacted my lawyers. Thanks for the money!

2) If you don't land the starting QB role, do you see yourself transitioning to a different role like WR?

If I'm not going to be a quarterback, then I'm really torn on what I'd want to do. I think you're on the right track, I may consider becoming a WR, but I'd really have to work on my speed to become an effective WR. I definitely couldn't be a lineman, so maybe I could be a TE? Or maybe I’ll head over to defense and show everyone how easy it is to pick off some of these jabroni quarterbacks. Imagine that, failed quarterback leading the league in defensive interceptions with footballs thrown by guys who were allegedly better than me. I'm getting furious just thinking about it, hopefully these guys see the light and put me where I should be. If it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen, but it'll still be fun either way. Plus I'd be able to give people concussions because I'm definitely going to be a headhunter if I go in the secondary. Get the wheelchairs ready.

3) What other offensive pieces do you feel you need around you to succeed?

The offensive pieces around me starts with the offensive line. I need to have guys in front of me that can protect me while the play develops and allows us to make the plays we need to make. If the team has an awful offensive line, it's going to be hard for anyone to put up any numbers at all. The passing game will suffer, the running game will suffer, the offense will be dreadful and the team will lose. The game is won in the trenches, and we need to have a solid line. Of course after that, wide receivers are important, then tight ends, and then the running backs. I personally prefer a back and a tight end that can block and catch as opposed to specializing in one or the other. I like receivers that can get open quickly. This doesn't exactly mean running streaks fast, I mean making cuts and jukes to give me that small window to get the ball to you and make the plays.

4) With your lack of speed and agility how do you keep the play alive when the pocket collapses?

I'll keep the play alive with my preparation and mental strength. I know exactly how much time I have to get rid of the ball before the defense is going to take me down and destroy the play. I'm not totally unable to get out of the way when a defender is coming, but you're right, I'm not exactly a mobile quarterback. If I get rid of the ball quickly then it'll make the defense think twice about the blitz and coming at us so quickly. I want to be faster than the defense, and it's about getting the ball in a receivers hand as quickly as I possibly can. If we have a dual-threat running back that means a lot of screens and dumps to the back, but also if we have quick slot guys that opens up the chances of giving them inside cuts as well. I want our offense to be dynamic and plan for quick releases, that's how the team supports me and plays to my strengths. It's all about protecting each other and playing to our strengths.

5) With Boston College employing the spread option in 2015 and transitioning to a more pro-style offensive in 2016 do you feel as though you've had time to develop the proper mechanics and playstyle without a consistent coordinator and scheme?

I think our transition from 2015-2016 was a huge one. The spread was something our former coaching staff wanted, and it didn’t play to our strengths. That was part of the problem with the previous regime. This is the thing that bothers me about certain coaches. They think they're the most important part of the team and disregard the strengths and weaknesses of the players on their roster. The good coaches see what kind of players they have and adapt their gameplan accordingly. That's why we went with the pro style offense in 2016 and ended up in a huge bowl game against USC this year. Sure, we fell short, but I think that there's a bright future for that team if they have another quarterback similar to me coming in. If they don't, then they should switch it up. Do I wish I had 4 years of the pro style offense? Of course. Maybe if we did it for all of my time at school, then it wouldn't even be a question that I'm good enough to be a starting quarterback in this league. If we ran the pro style for all four seasons, I'd be the first overall pick in the draft. Hell, I might even be the first overall pick in the NFL draft if we did things the right way.

@Dinklburger01

1. What other success has the agency had?

The JBlaze Agency is one of the most prestigious in all of sports. He's represented guys like Mike Bloss in the WBL, Jamal Slick in the MSFL, Johnny Blaze himself in the VFL, my uncle Mike Boss was a star pitcher in the IBA and IBL. In the SBA, he currently represents my third cousin Mikey Boss of the Duke Blue Devils; and previously my uncle's wife's kid Johnny Blaze who played with the San Diego Clippers and UCLA Bruins. The JBlaze Agency has been active in leagues for nearly 15 years and has represented players in all kinds of leagues with all of the sports that have come along. If there has been a league in the past 15 years, chances are, JBlaze Agencies had someone there. This is not speaking in hyperbole, JBlaze has had feelers everywhere. The VHL, The SSN, SHL, RFSL; just to name a few more. JBlaze Agencies has represented players, commissioners, graders, updaters, simmers, any job there is to have, he's been there.

2. How quickly do you think you could lead a team to the championship?

I think I could lead a team to a championship in season one. This isn't me being cocky, but I have faith that whatever team takes me is ready to win it all. I have faith that the organization that I'm headed to is going to be world class and will be the pinnacle of success in this league. I know that my work for the NSFL has already begun, and when it comes time to take the field for my team, I'm going to be well prepared. My coaches and teammates will support me, and I will support them. Wherever I end up, I know it will be the right place for me. We're going to compete every minute of every game. If we fall short in the first season, I have faith that my team will make the necessary changes for the second season and make us title contenders.

3. What team needs you the most?

The team that needs me the most is the team that needs someone to be the leader on their offense and the face of their team. The team that needs me the most is the team that shares my ideals. The team needs to be ready to work hard and leave no stone unturned on their pursuit of a championship. The team that needs me the most is going to be the team that's built a solid foundation and needs a great traditional quarterback to run their offense. I have faith that there's going to be a great system for me to join and I want to be on the team where it’s the best fit possible for me. Whoever needs me the most already knows it, but I expect them to build the team and place me right there where it's a good fit.

4. Is your favorite target a WR or a TE?

My favorite target is whatever player is open! It's a good question though, because there are some plays that are really exciting. Airing the ball out to a WR who has burned a cornerback and watching him run 70 yards to the end zone in a flash is incredibly exciting. It's also great to see an athletic TE lined up against a poor LB and having them get burned and watch the TE drag three guys for a 50 yard gain. Tight ends are awesome to throw to because they're usually a lot bigger than a wide receiver. Their window is so much bigger, it makes for more opportunities to get the ball where it needs to be. Some of these receivers are not even close to being 6 feet tall, so it's tough to put the ball that close to the ground sometimes. I'd have to pick tight ends as my favorite at this moment. If Randy Moss comes walking into my life, I may change my decision.

5. Do you want your future GM to have big boobies or a big booty?

Hopefully my next GM has big boobies because that most likely means they're an old man who knows a lot about football. I don’t know if this is a special way of telling me that Charlie Weis is going to be my new head coach/ GM? If so, that's awesome. If not, well, Charlie you have a great rack bro. I'd love to be a part of your offensive scheme that led the Patriots to back to back titles when I was a kid. Charlie Weis if you're out there, please, call me. We can be a dual combo threat. Who wouldn't want the two of us on their team?

@BasedPooter

1. What are some weaknesses in your game that you believe you will be able to improve upon at the next level?

There are definitely weaknesses in my game I need to improve upon. I need to learn how to take fewer sacks. I need to work on getting the ball out of my hands quicker. I need to work on finding the open receiver on my first read. I need to work on making decisions at the line of scrimmage to get the defense off guard. If I can read the defense as to which play they're going to run, and then make the proper adjustments on our side, then we'll win a lot of games. A big part of the team's success is going to fall on my shoulders and my ability to improve upon my weaknesses. There's no doubt in my mind that my coaches at the next level are going to expect me to improve on not only my weaknesses, but my strengths. It's not like I'm going to stop working on anything. Things I feel confident about, I still need to work out. I'm going to do my best everyday to be an elite QB in this league.

2. What motivates you to get better: the thrill of success or the fear of failure?

I think the thing that motivates me most is the pursuit of winning. I'm not afraid to fail. I prepare to win, and when I win, I'm happy. I've won at every level I've played at, and I'm proud of that. My teams have always outworked the other teams in the weight room and the film room, and that translates on the field. I'm motivated to not only be good, I want to be the best. I want to be great. I want to be the best guy out there leading my team to multiple championships. Fear never enters my mind because I don't prepare for fear. Fear is a construct and I reject fear in my life. I know that when the moment presents itself, I'm going to be ready to seize it. I know I'm going to be able to make the plays that need to be made. This confidence isn’t me being boastful, this is just the life that I live. My teammates and I will be ready to win and ready to execute plays when they're presented.

@deadendpath27

1.) Mr. Boss, who are some of your favorite WRs in this draft class? If you could pick any 3 WR prospects, who would they be and why?

I haven't put a lot of thought into which guys I'd most like to throw the ball to, but there is definitely a short list that interests me. Of course Josh Garden is a guy I'd love to team up with. He has the ability to make plays out there in one on one coverage and make the defenders look silly. He gets open just about as quick as anyone I've seen in this draft class, and that's a big deal for me and my playing style. DJ Law is another guy I’d love to link up with. This is a guy who's going to end up being a burner. The QB that gets to throw to him for the next decade had better get his arm ready to air it out, because Law is going to be able to chase the pigskin all around the field. He's the kind of guy you can throw out there a prayer ball and he comes down with it. Finally, if I had to pick, I'd take a guy like Cooper Christmas. A white wide receiver is rare these days but he can catch anything thrown at him. He's not the fastest guy, but he's able to catch almost any ball thrown at him. A white Christmas indeed, this guy is someone to spend holiday's with.

@.Broken

1. Do you have anything in-particular you do during downtime or offseasons?

For me, there isn’t a lot of downtime. In the offseason, I like to take a break for about two weeks. I take this time to relax and get my mind clear. I use this time to balance my body and spirit and get back to where I need to be mentally to perform my best. I then re-enter the gym with a specialized training regimen. This includes special exercises to strengthen my performance when I'm playing, and also extends to the types of foods I eat to make sure I can play this game for a long time. A few weeks of this and I'm ready for vacation. I usually travel to a nice destination or two to get more of that spirituality and mental clarity before the grind of the season. Once I return home from this vacation, it's all business. I then start my preparation big time and really start to push myself. I want to be ready to play on the first day of training camp and show my team I'm there for them. As a hobby I like to play wiffleball with my friends. I actually had to make sure that wasn't gonna be something that would end up being banned in my contract. My agent tells me I shouldn't have anything to worry about, but I take everything seriously. Even a plastic bat and ball.

2.) 2. Are you nervous to be entering the draft, has anyone contacted you about joining their team?

I wouldn't say I'm nervous at all, really. I know my value. I know that wherever I end up, that team got the best QB in this league. Wherever I go, the team will not have to worry about the position for a very long time because I plan to stick around and I plan to be the best. I've had multiple teams reach out to me already and I only expect these contacts to heat up the closer I get to the draft. I want the teams that are truly interested in my services to make me feel like I'm part of their family. I want to be able to call any of my coaches at any time of day and run things by them. I'm obsessed with this game and I want my coaches to be obsessed, too. I want them to be accessible. I'll always be around to absorb everything I can about this game, but I also want that to be reciprocated on the other side. I wouldn't be surprised if some of these teams with QB's aren't thinking twice about their decision knowing I'm out there on the market. I can't wait to look back years from now and be proven right. I'm not cocky, I'm confident in my ability to be a game changer. I'm a franchise player and the right franchise is going to find that out come Thursday.

3.) Based off the logos alone, which team would be ideal for you?

This is the type of question I like to answer. I'm a creative guy, myself. I like to dabble a bit from time to time doodling and designing things. I used to really be into graphic design. All of these teams have pretty cool logos. The team names definitely need some work, but there's nothing I can do about that. The logo that jumps out most to me is the Arizona Outlaws. I love the black and red color combination. I love that the Outlaw has a bandana covering his face. It's just a classic, tough looking logo. The Wraiths are a really unique looking logo. It's like an old man struggling to stick his neck out to see over the guy sitting in front of him. The Otters and the Yeti both are non-traditional to me. I have mixed feelings about their logos. San Jose is a sneaky good logo because it sort of reminds me of Power Rangers. My favorite Ranger was Tommy, the Green Ranger. I think San Jose would be his favorite logo, and it's a tough argument to deny. Baltimore has the most bland logo to me, with their Oakland Raiders color scheme and classic Hawk symbol. It's sort of a Mighty Ducks shout out so I guess I can dig that.

4.) Do you have a favorite GM, and why?

I think it'd be totally unfair to say that I have a favorite GM at this point. Really, my favorite GM is going to be the one that takes the chance on me. The GM that's smart enough to realize that I'm a generational talent at the QB position. I want to be in the Hall of Fame someday and I'd love to spend my entire career with one team. My favorite GM is going to be the guy who takes me and allows me to help build their offensive system and become successful together. It's going to take effort from the front office, from the coaches, from me, and from my teammates to become a champion in this league. The cop out answer here is no, I don't have a favorite GM. I also don't have a least favorite GM, either. I'm indifferent on most GM's right now. Obviously the guys who have reached out to me already have a special place in my heart, and I'd be happy to play with any of the teams that have taken the time to speak with me thus far. Each experience has been a positive one.

5.) Do you really Blaze?

This is probably the easiest question I've been asked thus far. I've been blazing for well over 10 years now. It goes back to my time as a young man and 1960's classic rock. I took my bowl of the devil's lettuce and ate the entire salad bar, if you catch my drift. Colleges were initially apprehensive about having me attend their school, and luckily MA decriminalized pot before I joined BC so they couldn't really say shit to me since I was the star QB of the football team. I will Blaze for the forseeable future and if any team has a problem with that, they can go pound sand. I'm going to be the highest QB in the league. Yeah, the highest QB on the All-Time Best QB List and I'll also be fucked up off Blue Dream. When my playing days are done I fully intend to enter the marijuana industry. It's a booming business and I'll be damned if I end up missing out on some of this pie. I'll grow it and sell it, and also have a line of marijuana cigars called BOSS BLUNTS. Don't steal my trademark idea, bro.

@WinstonKodogo

1.) Due to the number of Qbs in the draft would you be willing if called upon to change position?

I've touched upon this idea before, but I'd do everything I possibly could to avoid moving to a different position. The reality is, I'm not athletic enough to play any other position. The only choice I'll really have is to start abusing various kinds of steroids in order to bulk up. Worst case, I just hit the gym really hard and get injected on the daily. I think if I have a decent amount of steroid cycles go through my body, I'd be ready to play on the other side of the ball and lay some guys out. The only problem is, I know I’d end up being a head hunter. I really want to hurt guys out there. Especially if I'm not able to be a QB, my main goal would be to injure opposing offensive players. If I can take someone out of the game and put them in a wheel chair, I'm going to take that chance. These guys are out there trying to take food out of my mouth and money off of my table. So yeah, I'd consider playing elsewhere, but it's probably in everyone's best interests if I stay at QB.

@ErMurazor

1.) When were you most nervous on the field?

I would say I was most nervous on the field during my last game with the Eagles against USC. We were finally on the national stage. I don’t get nervous but I was definitely jacked up. My definition of nervous and the average person's definition of nervous are two different things. I think if you're not ready to puke every time you take the field then you don't love this game. I go out there every time ready to play my ass off as if each play could be my last. I felt this the most as the eyes of the world were upon us that night. My team fell short to the Trojans, but just being on that stage felt incredible. I knew that it was something I really wanted to keep feeling. I want all of the eyes to be on me. I want the world to watch me play football. I want them to see what I see every day. I want them to see how much this game means to me and I want to share my success with everyone.

2.) What was the one play from your football career you would want to do-over?

There was a play last season against Miami that cost us a shot in the National Championship Game. My game against USC would've never happened if I was able to seal the deal against Miami. As everyone knows, our top WR was out in the early part of the 2nd quarter of this game. It was our second, third, and fourth string guys out there playing their hearts out against the powerhouse Hurricanes. We were down by 4 points with under 30 seconds left to go in the game. We were on their 28 yard line. 3rd down and 6, I roll out. My first two reads were covered, so I go to my third read, our 5th stringer. He went one way, I threw the other way. It was a pick-6 the other way and we lost the game and our undefeated season. If I had worked harder at knowing my receivers and their tendencies, i would've known where he was going and where to throw the ball. I'll never forgive myself.

3.) Who was the best receiver you saw/played with over the years?

The best WR I ever saw was Randy Moss Jr. We played in some AAU tournaments together across the country growing up. I wasn't surprised that this kid's dad was arguably the greatest NFL receiver of all time. It absolutely showed because the speed and ability this kid showed was off of the charts. He was running advanced routes and making guys in the secondary look foolish. His height advantage was so blatant he should've been an illegal target to throw to. I know he isn’t going to join me here in the NSFL, so I hope I can find a similar receiver here to mesh so well with. I need a tall freak that can burn the sidelines and out muscle any shrimp corner that gets in his way.

4.) Who's your favorite QB of all-time?

My favorite QB of all time is Tom Brady, hands down. This man captivated an entire region and put the Patriots on the map for good. It all started in 1993 when Bill Parcells came to the Patriots and had Drew Bledsoe with him. Next thing you know, Parcells is gone and in comes Belichick. Belichick's program ends up taking Brady in the 6th round. 2001, Bledsoe gets hurt and steps in Brady. Fast forward to 2017, and the 14 year build up of the organization is complete. Brady is a 5 time champion and so is the team. He was able to be the exclamation point on an entire generation of football in the state of Massachusetts. Tom Brady saved the Patriots and saved me on several occasions. He can do no wrong. I wish I could be half the QB Tom Brady is. He is truly a God among men and nobody can come close to him. He is the greatest of all time.

5.) Have you ever played another position?

No, I've never played a different position. Each step of the way, coaches have been smart enough to know what they have with me as a player. I've always been a QB and I intend to always stay a QB. I've mentioned earlier that I'd consider playing on the other side of the ball, but it was never something I pursued actively. I love having the game in my hands and having everyone rely on me to make the play. Nothing compares to the rush of playing QB. I want to feel the defense rushing at me and I want to see my guys make plays. I want to piss off 320 pound freaks when they can't tackle me. I want to make these guys look foolish and there's no position that's more fun than QB.

@evryday

1.) If you were the second QB on a team, would you wait it out until it was your turn to start?

Any team that is worth their salt would never consider me the 2nd QB. If I get drafted to a team that already has a QB, I think that says a lot more about them than it does me. If I was a QB on a team already and saw they brought a guy like me in, I’d be afraid for my job. I would wait it out to start because I know it would only take a couple weeks of practice before the coaches saw what was good for them. The fact of the matter is that once I'm on the field, I know I'm better than every other QB in this league. I'm not being cocky, I'm just stating the facts. Another fact is that if a team decides to pass up on me for someone else at QB, they're going to regret it. The funny part is, the teams that pass on me now are going to be up my ass in 4 years when I'm a free agent begging me to come to their team and save them. I won't forget what happens during this draft. This will change everything.

2.) Or would you demand a trade?

As far as demanding a trade goes, I would hope that it doesn’t need to go that far. I don’t want to be the guy during training camp causing a distraction for everyone, that's not my style. Don't get this confused, though, I'm going to stand up for myself. If I feel like I'm being held back by a team and not given the opportunity that I deserve, I'll do what I need to do. I fully anticipate being drafted to a team that knows exactly what they have in me. They know I'm a franchise QB. They know I'm loyal. I have faith that wherever I end up will be the right place for me. I hope to never have to demand a trade in my career. If it gets to that point, then it gets to that point, but that surely isn't my intention. I intend to go out there and compete for the starting QB job for whichever team I end up on. I believe that everything happens for a reason. Maybe there will be 2 QB's on my team and we end up trading the other guy for a stud on defense, who knows what will happen. I just want to be able to go out there and do my job.

3.) Or would you just change positions? If so, what position would you play other than QB?

If it came down to demanding a trade to a team with an open QB slot or changing positions within my current team, it'd be a no brainer. I'd absolutely pick the trade to the team with the open job for me. I'm a QB. I've always been a QB. It's all I know and I think it's where I'm most effective. I'm a great athlete and football player, but it'd be really hard to suddenly change positions on the fly. I know Julian Edelman was able to pull it off and go to WR. I'm not quite as fast as Julian, but maybe I'd explore something like TE. I've been asked similar questions in the past, and honestly, I always end up talking myself into playing defense. Since I have such a vast knowledge of the QB game and how QB's think, I'd be the perfect defender. I'd purposely try and hurt the opposing players and do my best to paralyze the QB's that were playing instead of me. I keep it real.

4.) Is Tom Brady your favorite player at any position or just QB or not even and you just chose it for this league?

Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr is my favorite athlete of all time, second place is Pedro Martinez. Tom Brady is a God walking on Earth. Tom Brady is the greatest football player of all time and may be the best athlete of all time, in the conversation with Jordan and Gretzky. Tom Brady lifted a region for nearly 20 years so far. An entire generation has grown up only knowing Tom Brady. I remember the Patriots a little bit before Brady, I was 10 when he came into my life after Mo Lewis sent Drew Bledsoe to the hospital with internal bleeding. My earliest football memory was when the Patriots and Packers played in Super Bowl 31, I would've been about 6 at the time. The Patriots lost that Super Bowl but I fell in love with the team. 5 years later Tom Brady led the Patriots to their first of five Super Bowl victories. I consider myself blessed that in the 4.6 billion years this planet has existed, I was lucky enough to be around at the same time as Tom Brady. A lot of these answers are tongue in cheek, this is the complete truth. It's hard to put into words what Tom Brady means to me. The day he retires or leaves the Patriots is going to be one of the worst days of my life.

5.) How does Mike Boss compare to Tom Brady? Similarities and differences.

One major difference is I get messed up a lot more than Tom Brady. Tom is really into his personal health and fitness. I'm into that stuff to a certain extent, but not to the extent where I'm selling Brain Water and Avocado Ice Cream in my official store. I like to have a good time off the field, and Tom has never had a beer in his life. This may raise red flags to some, but I'm wide open about it. My name is Blaze for a reason. Now, we do have similarities. We're both obsessed with winning. I'm obsessed with practicing and being on the practice field. I love to watch film. I love to learn everything I can about the game. I adjust my game to ensure longevity. We have similar preferences when it comes to the West Coast Offense. We're both absolute maniacs when it comes to being the best and I want to emulate Tom the best I can here in the NSFL. It'll take the effort of me and my teammates to win championships and I fully intend to win several.

@Bzerkap

1.) Will you be coming out with a boss sauce in the near future? I think the people wanna taste the spice you throw with.

It's funny you mention that, Sweet Baby Ray's and my people are currently negotiating a deal. Their tagline is "The Sauce is the Boss!" Well, we all know that I'm The Boss. Bruce Springsteen can go fuck himself, I'm THE BOSS. Anyways, there have been a lot of requests for my sauce. Some are talking about sauces to BBQ with while others simply use sauce as a euphemism for sexual intercourse. Usually it's women who use the term sexually, and I don't mind. I've been sharing my sauce recipe with sororities all across the northeastern US for the past several seasons. I intend to continue this trend across the entire continent upon my arrival to NSFL. You'd imagine that eventually the same tired lines would stop working, but it turns out when you’re on TV and about to sign a contract for millions of dollars, it's appealing to women. I'm going to write a book about this someday and I'll make back all of the money I blow right away on questionable decisions.

2.) Cat Person or Dog Person?

This is the easiest question that I've been asked so far. I'm a dog person, and it isn't even close. Cats are weird, and guys who are obsessed with cats are weird. I have no time for creepy silent cats plotting my demise in the corner of my living room while they're strung out on cat nip. No thanks. I'd rather have a dog that actually likes me and wants to chill. They're also adorable. Cats stare at you and their tongues are made out of sand paper. The only two men who are allowed to be obsessed with cats are: 1.) Jack Burns from Meet the Parents and 2.) Dr. Evil. That's it. I don't care for cats. If you're a dude who's obsessed with cats and martial arts, please, leave me alone.

3.) Do you think there will be a lot of opportunities for 'playground football' in the NSFL?

If by "playground football" you mean an offensive explosion, then yes, I think there's gonna be a lot of opportunities for this. I think the offensive and defensive lines for teams are going to be unbalanced and that’s going to lead to some running games being stifled. It'll take a few seasons for things to run their course and the good players separate themselves from the pack. I expect that there will be chances for me to air the ball out and make big plays through the air. There are a lot of speed based receivers out there and I want guys who can burn the sidelines and be tall, if that's what their game is all about. I do feel comfortable in the West Coast screen based, short route offense, but I'm not afraid to air it out if I need to. If I have guys that can get open quickly down the sidelines, I'm gonna find them and it's not going to be a lot of fun for the defense. I want a RB that can also be effective in the passing game in case there are issues with the lines and makes running in the trenches difficult.

4.) 4. Does 'gunslinger' or 'game manager' more accurately describe you?

I'd consider myself more of a game manager. Gun slingers are careless with the football. I'm definitely not conservative to the level of an Alex Smith. I play smart with the ball and I'm not going to try and force the issue with 3 defenders on one receiver, for instance. My goal is to not turn the ball over and end up getting the ball down field so we can score touchdowns. I can make difficult throws, but it has to be worth it and it has to be smart. The team that takes me knows that they're going to get a guy who knows when to make the tough throws and how to protect the football. It's tough to win games if you're slinging the ball all over the yard with the other team taking the ball from you. I think that leads to high INT numbers and therefore a lot of time for my defense to be on the field, and less time for me to be on the field to score.

5.)Once you're in the league are you looking forward to doing more pressers like this?

If there's enough demand out there to still listen to me ramble on about all of this then sure, I'll be open with the media. I expect the media to have a lot of questions once the season starts about my performance on the field. The questions now are definitely all over the place compared to questions I'll be getting during the course of the regular season. Being from Boston, I know all about a tough media in a sports town. I want to go somewhere where the media is going to hold the team accountable and expects results. There's nothing worse than a city that doesn’t care if their team wins or loses. I want everyone to be into the team, I want the papers to be writing about us every day and I want sports radio to be going crazy in anticipation of the next time we take the field. I think the media plays a big role in our game and I look forward to playing my part within the media.
