Good evening. After tonight's pair of games, I thought the stream of our second game looked a little funny. Now, some of you may be recognizing me by now and are tuning out to what I have to say right about...
now.

I sure hope the refs were paid! Those people put in work and deserve to be compensated by the league for their efforts

It’s an unfortunate quirk of the sim. The home team only has to have any part of the ball touching the line for a first down. The away team needs to have the entire ball over.
Not sure if it’s just a presentation thing or if it actually effects the outcome of the game.

Essentially offense needs a full less yard for a first down which tends to add up over a whole game.

Ok. I know it looks bad but it really isn’t. I’ve been watching these for a long time and this is how it is. The home team starts with their dots behind the line of scrimmage and if they touch the yellow line it’s a first down. The away team starts completely over the line of scrimmage so they need to make it completely over the yellow line to get a first down. Both teams go 10 yards. They just start in different spots.
