*Agent Tesla's Draft Recap Part 2 - Tesla - 03-29-2020 Word Count: 3313 Hello again everyone! It is Agent Tesla resuming their work on their recap of the latest DSFL draft after a long delay. I mentioned last time that my focus would be on my grading job that I had been given by the league, and now that we have gotten caught up from the backlog I can get out my recap for rounds three through five. Admittedly could have probably done this earlier, but I had other work to tackle as well which kept my attention away. So I hope you forgive the delay and enjoy the content nonetheless. Round Three Pick Overall: 17 Team: Minnesota Grey Ducks Representative: Phalanx32 Player Name: Sebastian Vettel Position: Safety Archetype: Center Fielder Improved Stats: Strength, Intelligence, Speed, and Hands, Comment: I have had no interaction with Phalanx32 that I am aware of to be honest, but I have seen the work they put out for their client before the draft. They sold their former F1 driving prospect hard and did a good enough job at it that he was picked up with 17th overall pick. Honestly think the Ducks got a good one here even if he has not put out as much since the draft. A safety used to flying around at high speed should be well suited to the league. Pick Overall: 18 Team: London Royals Representative: tractorcito_grande Player Name: Cadillac Harris Position: Cornerback Archetype: All-Around Improved Stats: Strength, Intelligence, Tackling, Speed, and Hands Comment: Tractorcito_grande is a hard working agent who I consider among the top tier of the league. Has been chill in our interactions, and has put out quality scouting work. Should be a good addition to the team in combination with their client Cadillac. Cadillac is a confident young man who has put in the work to be one of the top cornerbacks in the league. My initial grade had them as one of seven elite cornerbacks and with a fun reference to the fact that they come from the town of Texas Red. Just like the Arizona Ranger they are quick on the draw and with good hands to nab plenty of balls. Good luck out there! Pick Overall: 19 Team: Portland Pythons Representative: Number 82 Player Name: Shawn Dawkins Position: Safety Archetype: Center Fielder Improved Stats: Speed Comment: Number 82 has put out some good graphics for their client Shawn Dawkins, including one of the cooler cards I have seen. Do not recall any interactions between us, but those graphics got them a good enough draft grade on their client to get them taken in the third round. I only gave them a solid starter grade myself, but I trust Portland knows them better than I do. Pick Overall: 20 Team: Kansas City Coyotes Representative: revuhlution Player Name: Chester Sweets Position: Cornerback Archetype: All-Around Improved Stats: Strength, Agility, Intelligence, Speed, Hands, and Endurance Comment: Revhulution also known as Rev is a great agent for a great client and I could not do near enough to sing their respective praises. Rev runs an excellent podcast called Candy Sweet or Sweet Talk that I have enjoyed listening to when I have the opportunity. Been a great person in all our interactions and I am pleased as punch to be writing about them today. Their client is much the same being one of seven cornerbacks that I gave an elite grade to before the draft. Combined with the donations they have already made to my understanding and I am happy to say that Kansas City got a good one here. Hope you two are enjoying it! Pick Overall: 21 Team: Kansas City Coyotes Representative: Toastydata Player Name: Kevin Fakon Position: Running Back Archetype: Power Back Improved Stats: Strength, Agility, Speed, Pass Blocking, and Run Blocking Comment: No experience with Toastydata that I recall, but seeing some of their media work I can respect the effort put in for their client. They also did something that not enough people do by closing out a presser, as a grader that always gets a gold star in my book. Their client is a traditional power back who has developed better than average blocking skills along with their athleticism. If Kansas City can connect with them well then I think that they could go a long way given how important the run game is to the DSFL. Pick Overall: 22 Team: Dallas Birddogs Representative: Majesiu Player Name: Stanislaw Koniecpolski Position: Linebacker Archetype: Balanced Improved Stats: Strength, Speed, Endurance, and Hands Comment: While I have no interaction experience with Majesiu to my knowledge I did do a scouting report on Stanislaw before the draft. Where I mostly commented on the fact that I have no idea how to pronounce their name. Even after having heard it in the draft I hope I never have to pronounce it. That said they were one of just three linebackers that I gave an elite grade to in the draft, and so I think they should be a major contributor right out of the gate for the team. They have done a wonderful job improving their overall athleticism and getting better at attacking the ball. Pick Overall: 23 Team: Myrtle Beach Buccaneers Representative: Billybolo53 Player Name: Octavio Clemente Position: Defensive Tackle Archetype: Interior Rusher Improved Stats: Strength, Tackling, and Speed Comment: Billybolo53 is an outstanding agent and has been delightful in all of my interactions with them. I know not everyone has seen the work they have put in for their client, but I did witness quite a bit of it since they were kind enough to comment on my initial defensive tackle scouting work. Their client only earned a solid starter grade from me at the time, but they definitely kicked it into overdrive after my initial scouting work was done. Easily deserving of their spot as the third defensive tackle taken off the board. Hope you are enjoying the beach my friend. Pick Overall: 24 Team: Minnesota Grey Ducks Representative: Thevoicelesscreator Player Name: Mo 'Mamba' Magic Position: Defensive Tackle Archetype: Balanced Improved Stats: Strength, Agility, Tackling, Speed, and Endurance Comment: Thevoicelesscreator is a quality agent who I have not had as much of an opportunity to talk to as one would like. That said I cannot recall having any issue with them, and I know they have done some solid work for their client. Mo 'Mamba' Magic is a picture of class who has done a good job despite all the difficult challenges of his young life. Being one of just four defensive tackles I gave an elite grade to along with being a classy combo I would say and Minnesota did well picking him up here. Round Four Pick Overall: 25 Team: London Royals Representative: Skyline Player Name: Acura Skyline Position: Running Back Archetype: Speed Back Improved Stats: Strength, Agility, Speed, Hands, Pass Blocking, and Endurance Comment: I am more of a fan of Nissan, but Acura is a solid choice to start the fourth round I would say. No interaction between me and Skyline that I can recall. Combined with no scouting information by me on them before the draft and I have little to say here. That said I like the bump to pass blocking they did as it could make them a bit more useful in certain situations. A fan of this pick overall and I wish luck to Skyline and his client in this league. Enjoyed their work thus far as someone who spends a lot of time in the media section. Pick Overall: 26 Team: Dallas Birddogs Representative: Forty Jordy Player Name: Deshun Jones Position: Defensive Tackle Archetype: Balanced Improved Stats: Strength, Agility, Tackling, Speed, Hands, and Endurance Comment: Forty Jordy is someone I would consider a friend in this draft and has been a wonderful supporter of their prospect Deshun Jones. Being a defensive player they are one of the ones that I scouted out before the draft where I gave them a rightly deserved elite grade. The fact that they fell the farthest of the defensive tackles I graded elite means they can comfortably consider themselves a steal in my book. Should be a name in this league for a long time to come based on everything I have seen. Best of luck to you in your new home. Pick Overall: 27 Team: Portland Pythons Representative: dk87gaming Player Name: Daniel George Position: Tight End Archetype: Balanced Tight End Improved Stats: Strength, Agility, Speed, Hands, Pass Blocking, and Run Blocking Comment: DK87gaming I am not sure if we have spoken or not, but as a representative of a fellow Husky I feel I can trust them. Their client is a top tier terrific tight end with amazing all around talents. Alliterative appeal out of the way I can say their great athleticism and superb blocking skills should make them a solid asset for the Portland Pythons. Should see plenty of play time thanks to their talents and their work ethic. Pick Overall: 28 Team: Tijuana Luchadores Representative: Mithrandir Player Name: Andrew Witten Position: Cornerback Archetype: Zone Improved Stats: Agility, Intelligence, Speed, Hands, and Endurance Comment: Mithrandir and I are in the same fantasy group and I think they could afford to learn some patience. Outside of that I have no complaints from our minimal interactions together. Their client is one that I scouted before the draft and gave a nod to their surname, along with a grade of solid starter. Them and Mithrandir though kicked it into high gear after I did my scouting though. Earned themselves a rightful spot in the first four rounds. Pick Overall: 29 Team: Tijuana Luchadores Representative: Ozamataz Player Name: Ozamataz Buckshank Position: Cornerback Archetype: Zone Improved Stats: Strength, Tackling, Speed, and Hands Comment: Ozamataz and their agent might be one in the same and I would not know at all. I said in my initial scouting report of Ozamataz Buckshank that they had an intimidating aura about them and that I was hesitant to do anything in depth when scouting them out. Just a terrifyingly intense gaze made me disinterested in finding out much more. That said I gave them an elite grade from what I did see and the fact that they were able to intimidate me. Tijuana seems to agree having grabbed them with the 29th overall pick. Pick Overall: 30 Team: Norfolk Seawolves Representative: Coterminity Player Name: Kevin Koh Position: Wide Receiver Archetype: Route Runner Improved Stats: Speed, Hands, and Endurance Comment: Coterminity is someone I do not recall talking to before the draft, but since both our clients ended up in Norfolk I have gotten to know them well. Love the work they have put out in the media section and the conversations that we have had in the locker room. Their client clutch Kevin Koh on the other hand is one mine has experience with given they are both Huskies, and by extension I feel especially comfortable trusting them as one of Norfolk's major receivers. Hope to spend more time chatting with them both in the future, and of course wish them the best of luck along with the Seawolves. Pick Overall: 31 Team: Portland Pythons Representative: qWest Player Name: Tatsu Nakamura Position: Running Back Archetype: Speed Back Improved Stats: Strength, Speed, Hands, Pass Blocking, and Endurance Comment: Representative qWest is an interesting story as we both represent former Huskies, but our interactions have been pretty exclusively about fantasy football. Love the work they have done for their client and do not have a bad word to say about our interactions though. Only complaint I have about them is how badly they are beating me in fantasy, and I can't really hold that against them. Their client is easily one of the best running backs in the draft and I say that even without having done excessive offensive scouting. Had I done one on running backs I guarantee Tatsu would have received an elite grade. Top tier talent at a position of high importance for the DSFL I expect him to do well this season. Good luck in Portland. Pick Overall: 32 Team: Minnesota Grey Ducks Representative: RussDrivesTheBus Player Name: Lawrence Bass Position: Linebacker Archetype: Balanced Improved Stats: Strength, Speed, and Endurance Comment: RussDrivesTheBus has put in plenty of work for their client that I am aware of from my scouting of defensive players, and although we have had no interactions that I am aware of I can say they have done a decent job for their client. Especially given they got drafted in the first four rounds. Their client is an athletic superstar who comes with a fine pedigree from The Broncbuster. While I only gave them a solid starter grade before the draft I trust the Grey Ducks put in a bit more due diligence, and may have loved the way he would work in their system. Round Five Pick Overall: 33 Team: Dallas Birddogs Representative: DrunkenTeddy Player Name: Jeffrey Phillips Position: Tight End Archetype: Vertical Threat Improved Stats: Strength, Intelligence, Speed, Hands, and Endurance Comment: I have had no interaction with this prospect or his agent to my knowledge, however I hope he is happy with the Birddogs based on his destination ranking before the draft. They look like a solid tight end selection though and especially to start the fifth round. Their all around talent at the position both in athleticism and overall skill should make them an interesting challenge to defend against. Pick Overall: 34 Team: London Royals Representative: S4ndr0p Player Name: Sandro Ryeu Position: Defensive End Archetype: Speed Rusher Improved Stats: Strength, Agility, Speed, and Endurance Comment: S4ndr0p and I have interacted a decent amount and I have enjoyed those interactions. A high quality agent who is representing a positively potent prospect. Sandro is a superb defensive end out of Heidelberg University and one that I rightfully gave an elite grade to before the draft. One of just three defensive ends that I rated so highly, and the general managers seemed to agree as he went second among defensive ends. Should serve the Royals well as the basis of their defensive line. Pick Overall: 35 Team: Myrtle Beach Buccaneers Representative: Memento Mori Player Name: Brandon Booker Position: Cornerback Archetype: All Around Improved Stats: Agility, Intelligence, Tackling, Speed, and Endurance Comment: Memento Mori is both a coworker of mine in the media grading department, as well as a friendly face that I have seen in the general rooms on more than one occasion. Just an absolute powerhouse of a worker for their client Brandon Booker, and definitely one of the better agents in the league. Booker on the other hand is a similarly hard worker on the field and has contributed a great deal to their team. A super all around corner who has improved significantly even after I gave them a pre-draft grade of Elite. Top tier talent all around these two and I do not expect them to fall this far in the NSFL draft. Pick Overall: 36 Team: Tijuana Luchadores Representative: StamkosFan Player Name: Thomas Passmann Position: Wide Receiver Archetype: Speed Receiver Improved Stats: Speed, and Hands Comment: The benefits of being a meta fictional representative come in here as I will speak openly and honestly without any in character necessities. I have interactions with StamkosFan that I am aware of whether on the forum or the discord, or at least that I can recall as their name never jumped out at me. Apologies if that is inaccurate StamkosFan, but pretty sure we have not talked much if at all. Flip that though as I have graded a number of their media pieces and I absolutely adore them. Genuinely if you need something to read look up the hilarious stories about Thomas Passmann. Thank you for the entertaining reads StamkosFan, and any NSFL team looking at this for some unknown reason please be sure to give this person a good home. Even if it will bring fictional terror to your simulation team. Now back to character. Pick Overall: 37 Team: Kansas City Coyotes Representative: seanod123 Player Name: Sean O'Donohue Position: Linebacker Archetype: Balanced Improved Stats: Strength, Agility, Intelligence, Speed, Hands, and Endurance Comment: I admit that I have no encounters with Seanod123 that I am aware of at this point. Also looking suggests they may not be around to help their client anymore. Hope they are well wherever they are. Their client is an absolute all around linebacker who got a solid starter grade from me before the draft, and who has improved in just about every way that is meaningful to a linebacker. Pick Overall: 38 Team: Norfolk Seawolves Representative: Lightnoir Player Name: Wesley Eriksen Position: Safety Archetype: Center Fielder Improved Stats: Strength, Intelligence, Tackling, Speed, Hands, and Endurance Comment: Lightnoir! Amazing person, amazing podcast, and amazing presence in the Norfolk locker room. I could not begin to say enough nice things about Lightnoir now that I have had so much time to get to know them, and I am thrilled that both our clients ended up in Norfolk. Wesley has been a wonderful member of the secondary, and particularly of the dynamic duo that is the best safety tandem in the DSFL. Made plenty of plays all over the place, and has especially put in work in understanding how best to improve. May they both continue to have a great time in Norfolk, and I hope they go somewhere lovely in the NSFL draft. Pick Overall: 39 Team: Myrtle Beach Buccaneers Representative: Feeler Player Name: Heath Evans Position: Tight End Archetype: Balanced Improved Stats: Strength, Speed, Hands, and Endurance Comment: I cannot recall any personal interactions with Feeler, but I have not seen anything from them that I would complain about at least. Their client is a top tier tight end with solid all around skills. They both have continued to work hard thus far and I expect them to make more of a name for themselves once they hit the NSFL. I will hopefully run into them then. Pick Overall: 40 Team: Minnesota Grey Ducks Representative: morsy Player Name: William Alexander Position: Wide Receiver Archetype: Red Zone Threat Improved Stats: Strength, Agility, Intelligence, Speed, and Hands Comment: I admit the name made me double check because it looked very familiar to me, but I feel safe saying that we have yet to interact in the league. That said they have put work in for their client which I can respect, and their client has put in work which I can respect as well. These two are moving on up and I may encounter them in the NSFL. Summary A few surprises based on my initial scouting reports, but just goes to show that even an amazing agent can have some rookie blindness. Also could just show how massively loaded with talent this draft class is as no one could properly scout everyone. It was also a bit sad to see a few agents that have already moved on from the league. That said we wish them all the best regardless. Thank you for taking the time to read all of this, or just a bit of it if you skimmed. No shame in that. Hope I will see you when I get to the next rounds of the draft. Extra Also next time I will be streamlining a lot of this as I found the inclusion of archetype and improved stats to be killing my interest in doing this whole thing. Not to mention being by far the most time consuming process for me. So I hope no one was attached to that as I do intend to recap as much of the draft as possible before the NSFL draft. Thanks again everyone and remember to be kind to each other. We are all here to have a good time and that should not come at the expense of others. *Agent Tesla's Draft Recap Part 2 - Memento Mori - 03-29-2020 Thanks for the kind words <3 Definitely interesting to look back on the draft now that we're most of the way through the season. *Agent Tesla's Draft Recap Part 2 - s4ndr0p - 03-29-2020 You can put this Tesla Quality content right into my veins!! *Agent Tesla's Draft Recap Part 2 - Forty Jordy - 03-29-2020 Great article once again.
