*If I were Colorado GM... - Bayley - 03-29-2020 [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() Well, here we are again, @Frick_Nasty wanted me to do an article if I were the General Manager of the Colorado Yeti. I will go through who I would be protecting, who I would be looking at in the draft and the moves I would probably would be making as General Manager. Expansion Auto-Protected from S21 Draft: 1. DE Immanuel Blackstone 2. DT John "Tripod" Smirh 3. WR Red Arrow 4. CB Rotticus Scott 5. WR Alyx Sabor 6. TE Gronk Robertoswki 7. RB Andrew Nova 8. LB Dixon Uraz 9. RB Horacio Espinoza 10. OL Dylan Green 11. CB Speedo Meeter 12. S Rico Suave 13. S Rusty Shackleford 14. QB Leonard Jacobs Protections 1. LB Mo Berry - Frick is the General Manager, so you need to protect him. He's a franchise player, so there's no doubt that you will be looking to replace him in a bit, but as someone who is the highest TPE player on the Yeti currently, obviously, you are looking to keep him. You have to as well. 2. DT Bubba Thumper - For the same reason as Berry, Thumper will be protected by the Yeti. He's an amazing Defensive Tackle, so you would probably keep him anyway. With woelker as one of the General Managers, he will be protected as part of the Yeti for the near future. 3. QB Wolfie McDummy - Infinite is a guy that you keep, and given the fact that he is the Quarterback without really an heir in mind, you really have to keep him. He's the second most earner on the Yeti, so he has to be kept in a Colorado uniform. There really is no one to replace him currently, but it's not like you really want to replace him anyway. You keep him protected. 4. WR Laszlo Forty-Two - I really like the name as it must be from What we do in the Shadows, but C9van will be another guy you keep. He's a #1 receiver from the S16 regression class. He's getting older, but not old enough to be on the way out from being a Yeti. I think you need to keep him and McDummy together for a while. They will bolster your offense for a while, so keep him. 5. FA Protection Slot (Ashley Owens) - I am not sure if the compendium is up to date, but you need to keep Ashley Owens in Colorado. A Season 17 draft pick, Run is the king of spelling errors, but also will be the 5th best earner on Colorado. This is why, you really need to keep him around on the team. You can run a really effective offense with Forty-Two, McDummy, and Owens at the helm. 6. CB Louisiana Purchase - Modern_Duke is another part of that Season 18 draft class for the Yeti. He has been earning really well and will be really great to keep on the defensive side of the ball. Keeping a LB and DT, you really need to keep this piece in the secondary. He will be someone that you build around on defense as Mo Berry makes his way out pretty soon. 7. S Pete Parker - Pete Parker will be the last protection for the Colorado Yeti. I was between a couple other people, but I settled on Parker being my last pick. I love the value of safeties which is why I went with him. Another Season 18 Draft pick to be kept here. Next 4 protections: 1. TE Earl Sauce 2. LB Tony Gabagool 3. DE Steco Ocewilder 4. S Thor Kirkby When you look at the next three, you expect someone like James Bishop to be taken which will be a huge hurt to the offense. I think there's a chance that Gabagool or Kirkby would be taken as those would be extremely helpful to rebuilding teams, but the Yeti have a really great core to build around. Trades Find a #2 WR - As the Yeti being 6-5, I am buying. I am continuing to buy pieces. I am first looking at a #2 Wide Receiver behind Fourty-Two. I think Red Arrow can be the #2, but that will be in a season or two. I wouldn't even mind going after an older receiver that is going to hit regression soon. I think Westfield is good, obviously, but he will be going to hit regression even more soon. Maybe someone like Saba Donut would make a ton of sense for the Yeti. I think there are some other options out there, but that sticks out to me. Find a #3 LB - Gabagool may be taken, so you are going to need someone with Mo Berry. Even if Gabagool isn't taken, you still need that third linebacker (a spot that you used to be able to put as a Safety). I would be inquiring on Mike Hockhertz from Chicago to see his availability as he would go nicely with Berry. There are also people like Jaylen Storm who may also fit in as a decent third linebacker. I think that would be the best route rather than going the draft route as that may not help them sooner. Find a #2 CB - You have Purchase and likely Sinclair for next season which will be okay, but I'd really love to get an upgrade on Sinclair. I may look at someone like Lucas Knight, Johnny Snuggles, and AJ Lattimer. Some of those pieces may not be available, but I would certainly inquire about them to see what it would take. I think those are ways to immediately impact your squad. You could keep Sinclair, but upgrading is always worth it. Draft Plan Look at Cornerbacks - My first need for position is going to be corner in the draft. Considering Tyler Oles probably will not be available to you in the first round, I am thinking of taking a guy like Brandon Booker from the Myrtle Beach Buccanners. I think he would play another season down in the DSFL, but he could be a fantastic fit to the squad if he falls to them in the first round. If not, I may look at going Linebacker. There are some other guys that I really like in the draft like Thubba Bumper if he falls to you. If not, I think I wait until the middle rounds, where you can probably net someone like Eldrick Avery or Zamir Kehla who are around 19th in terms of TPE earning in the class. They may fall for the more familiar faces being taken. There are some really interesting guys later on, though, someone like Colt Mendoza that may fall a bit. They'd be a fantastic fit. Look at Linebackers - If Oles or Bumper do not fall to you in the first, I really think you go the Linebacker route to fill a need there. Someone like Koniecpolski may be available to you with your first round pick, and if he is, you take him. There are other guys like Derred de Ville who I would take in the first round as well. With the little lack of high prized depth in the LB position, you really cannot wait to take this position. In fact, there are only 12 players currently in the LB position that has over 100 TPE, only 7 over 150. That will go so quick, so if you see someone you want, you need to go get them. There is not much depth there. Look at Quarterbacks - I think you're going to need a Quarterback, but not really now, so you can afford to spend time with a little bit more of a project. I would look at someone like Tom Sofa. He would be a great fit in the future, but it may take him some time to get there, and that is perfectly fine. You have a guy now that you can use, so grab him in the mid rounds when he falls to you. He'd be a fantastic fit. You also have someone like Luke Skywalker, but I'd prefer going with Sofa. Look at Wide Receiver - I think this is another position you grab in the first three rounds. I would say go for someone like William Lim or Eddie Jeeta if he is there with your 3rd round pick (I doubt it). I think you have some other needs first, but there are no way they fall. You may be looking at someone like Mike Lee in the middle rounds or Nick Kaepercolin or William Alexander who are just outside of the Top 5 in WR TPE. Can you wait to grab someone like Jenkins or Despacito Jr later on? You could, but they are a little bit of a risk. I would rather grab one of the other guys. What do you think?
