*S22 NSFL Prospect Cheat Sheet - RB Edition - howsour - 04-03-2020 As the 21st season of the DSFL draws to a close and the Season 22 NSFL draft draws near, I have taken this opportunity to assemble a cheat sheet of sorts for the NSFL scouts to be able to have a quick look at the stacked RB class. Below, you will find the Running Back prospects listed from most to least TPE with a summary of their season and their overall skills. DSFL statistics are as of the end of the regular season, the bank information is as of about an hour ago, and the TPE and skill values are as of the latest update. All of these should change in the coming weeks as we scramble to earn as much TPE as possible, but this should serve as a basic overview of the RB class. White Goodman - ![]() ![]() Grade: A+ White Goodman had a multitude of roles this year for the Dallas Birddogs. Serving as both their GM and star utility RB, Goodman was able to achieve 914 yards in 200 carries with 6 TDs. He also contributed 8 receptions for 60 yards and a TD along with a total of 125 special teams return yards. Goodman currently sits ranked as the 1st overall RB in terms of Total TPE with 221, but is expected to be at the DSFL cap of 250 by the time of the NSFL draft and will easily be the the Top 5 in the entire draft class in Overall TPE. Obviously, Goodman is a max earner and frequent updater as well as a popular member of the league community and has been an overwhelmingly positive locker room presence. He also has over $51mil in the bank. Goodman is the most intelligent RB in this draft class and is almost capped at 90 speed, sitting as the 4th fastest RB in the class. He has, by far, the best hands in the class at 70 and has added some points to his endurance as well. Overall, Goodman is expected to be the first RB taken off the board in the NSFL draft and should look to be the featured back of an NSFL franchise in no time. Acura Skyline - ![]() ![]() Grade: A In his first season in the DSFL, Acura Skyline was the featured RB for the London Royals. He finished his campaign first in the league in rushing yards with 349 carries for 1,761 yards, a whole 169 yards ahead of second place Dax Frost. He also finished second in rushing TDs with 10. Skyline was also a valued contributor in the passing game with 10 receptions for 79 yards. He was also able to contribute 761 special teams return yards to lead the DSFL in total yards. To put it succinctly, Acura Skyline is the odds on favorite to win DSFL RB of the Year. Skyline is currently 2nd in overall TPE for RB in his draft class with 199, but is expected to be well over 220 by the time of the draft. Skyline is a regular updater and max TPE earner; his bank account sits at just over $15mil due to his consistent media contributions which ensure he will be purchasing equipment and weekly training for the foreseeable future. Skyline has a balanced an impressive skill set with moderate Strength, Agility, and Hands. He also is tied for 2nd compared to rival RBs in both Endurance and Speed. Skyline projects to be one of the first RBs off the board during the draft and it is easy to see why. Skyline is expected to be a premier running back in the NSFL in a few seasons. Kichwa Jones - ![]() ![]() Grade: B+ Kichwa Jones was half of the two-headed monster that was the Dallas Birddogs RBBC along with White Goodman. In his rookie campaign, Jones was able to accumulate 904 yards on 203 carries with 8 TDs. He had limited contribution in the passing game with only 3 receptions for 22 yards. One bright spot for Jones was that he led the DSFL in total special teams return yards with 938 where he added a single return TD. Jones currently sits third in his RB draft class in terms of Overall TPE with 196, but projects to be well above 220 by the time of the NSFL draft. He is an active updater and max TPE earner and is considered a valued member of the Dallas Locker Room (I hope). Currently, his bank account sits a little in the red, but he is expecting to boost that in the coming weeks via draft media. Kichwa Jones specializes in speed where he is ranked 1st in the entire draft class with 94. His other stats are generally low and are on par with other RBs in this list, but those can be easily improved after his speed is maxed. While not expected to make a major impact in the NSFL right away, it is expected that after a probably second year in the DSFL, Jones will be ready to carry the ball for an NSFL team. Tatsu Nakamura - ![]() ![]() Grade: B+ I called Tatsu Nakamura one of the biggest steals of the DSFL draft and it seems as though I was proven correct. Nakamura was Portland’s star RB and focal point on offense, generating 1,256 yards on 265 carries along with 10 TDs. Nakamura ranked 6th in the league in rushing yards and tied for 2nd in rushing TDs. Nakamura was a also a valuable contributor with 5 receptions for 23 yards and 507 special teams return yards while adding 1 return TD. Additionally, Nakamura is the 4th highest ranked RB in terms of Overall TPE in his RB class with 193 TPE. It is said that Nakamura has a ridiculous engine as he has the highest Endurance rating with 75 among qualified RBs. Besides that, his skills are quite average apart from focusing on Speed where he ranks tied for 2nd with Acura Skyline. Nakamura has proved to be a regular updater and max TPE earner and regularly created Graphics and Media to pad his bank account which currently sits at approximately $10.4mil. This suggests that Nakamura will continue to be a max TPE earner and will maintain enough in the bank account to purchase training and equipment. This RB class is extremely competitive with high quality and a limited amount of need in the NSFL for RB, but Nakamura will be a top RB taken off the board. Jamar Lackson - ![]() ![]() Grade: B- Jamar Lackson was drafted by Minnesota and split carried with both Baby Yoda and Skuff. Despite splitting carries three ways, Lackson was able to achieve 194 carries for 931 yards and 5 TDs, finishing just outside the Top 10 in rushing yards. He also contributed 4 receptions for 47 yards and 496 special teams yards. Lackson is the 5th ranked RB in this draft class in terms of Total TPE with 173 and has proved to be an active earner and updater. His bank account sits at an even $5.1mil with the possibility of improvement before the draft. Lackson has a unique blend of Strength, Speed, and Agility; ranking in the top 5 of each of those skills. Despite this even blend of skills, Lackson lacks dominance in any single skill that will set him apart from the competition and is very similar to rival Richard Gilbert. Lackson is expected to be around 200 TPE by the time of the draft and should generate a good amount of interest among NSFL scouts, but will likely need some time for him to become a valuable contributor to an NSFL squad. Richard Gilbert - ![]() ![]() Grade: B- Richard Gilbert was drafted by Tijuana and served as a back-up and short yardage situational RB to Ed Barker. In his rookie campaign, Gilbert was able to accumulate 198 carries for 978 yards and an impressive 10 TDs. Gilbert had quite a few multi-TD games and a 69 yard burst TD run to serve as highlights to his season. He ranked 11th in the league in rushing yards and tied for 2nd in the league in rushing TDs. Gilbert was also quite active in the passing game with 13 receptions for 98 yards. Gilbert ranks 6th among RBs in his draft class in terms of Overall TPE with 172 and is seen as a pretty active TPE earner and updater, although his bank account is pretty low at a low $3.1mil. Gilbert has a unique set of abilities; being tied for 1st in the draft class strength with 70 while still being the 5th fastest player in the league. For a big man with some speed, Gilbert also had above average hands; ranking tied for 6th among active RBs. I expect Gilbert to be around 200 TPE by the time the draft rolls around and he should generate some interest among NSFL teams. After Gilbert, it is expected that there will be a substantial drop-off in RB quality. Julio Tirtawidjaja - ![]() ![]() Grade: C+ Julio Tirtawidjaja was drafted in the later round of the DSFL draft by Tijuana and felt snubbed. Unfortunately, he was drafted into a stacked backfield and acted as the third string RB behind Barker and Richard Gilbert. Because of this, Tirtawidjaja was limited to only 13 carries for 70 yards and 2 TDs in his first DSFL season while adding 5 receptions for 28 yards. However, the most impressive highlight in his rookie season was his appearance as a QB in two DSFL games where he threw a TD and an INT, however these records are not recorded in the DSFL index. Despite his limited carries, Tirtawidjaja has proved to be a good teammate and continued to update and improve his skills, despite seeing very little action come game time. However, another potential upside is the Tirtawidjaja’s bank account is up to about $12.5mil TPE, which could greatly enhance his TPE in the coming weeks. In terms of Overall TPE, Julio ranks 7th in the RB class with 137. Despite his lower TPE, Tirtawidjaja has diversified his skill set and although he is one of the slower RBs in the class, he is tied for 4th in Strength, 2nd in Hands, and 6th in Agility among this RB class, making him a unique talent. It will be difficult for him to find success in the NSFL with a Speed Rating of only 81, but if Tirtawidjaja continues to earn TPE and can find a way to pay for weekly training or tier 6 equipment, he should find it easy to improve some skills and heavily increase his draft stock. Overall, I would say that Tirtawidjaja is of decent value for where he will likely be drafted, however this RB draft class is quite deep and there isn’t a major need for RBs in the NSFL. J.B. Apollo - ![]() ![]() Grade: C Despite being one of the later running backs taken in the DSFL draft, J.B. Apollo has certainly burst onto the scene in the DSFL where he had the 4th most rushing yards in his rookie campaign. He was the #2 RB in Myrtle Beach behind Dax Frost, but still had 265 carries for 1,267 yards for a 4.8 YPC average and 5 TDs. Apollo also had 6 receptions for 16 yards. Apollo currently ranks 8th in Total TPE with 122 within the draft class, but is a quality earner who updates regularly. Unfortunately, Apollo does not have any stand out skills and ranks in the middle of the pack for pretty much every skill, although it can be said he is one of the more intelligent and agile RBs in this class. Apollo’s bank account sits at about $5.3mil and needs some increase if he wants to purchases additional weekly training and equipment. Overall Apollo has a good amount of work and TPE earning ahead of him if he wants to find a permanent starting role in the NSFL with a skill set very similar to RBs who are ahead of him in TPE. Kevin Fakon - ![]() ![]() Grade: C+ I know what you’re thinking and yes, this is what Kevin Fakon looks like. In spite of his appearance, Fakon had a very successful season as Kansas City’s second RB behind Andrew Nova. Fakon had 226 carries for 1,042 yards in the regular season with 9 TDs. He supplemented this with 7 catches for 61 yards. However, I do not believe that his performance during the season will do much to improve his draft stock. Fakon currently sits tied for 9th in terms of Total TPE with 117, however he seems to update quite frequently and is active on the site. Fakon is a good balance of Strength, Speed, and Agility and his skills are supplemented with some TPE investment in Hands and both Pass and Run Blocking. Fakon also has a modest $6.3mil in his bank account which he can use for a few training, but will need to earn more if he wants to purchase equipment. Fakon represents more of the Jack of All Trades than a master at any particular skill and his balanced skills leave him as one of the strongest, yet slowest running backs in the class and still has quite a ways to go in comparison to other RBs in the class. However, his skillset is markedly different from the other RBs in the class which provides some value and differentiation. However, it would take quite a bit of additional TPE investment to have any one skill high enough to be competitive in the NSFL. Jacoby Batista - ![]() ![]() Grade: C- Jacoby Batista exploded onto the scene during the Prospect Bowl and had quite a few people talking. He followed this up by being a serviceable backup in London to Acura Skyline, but despite his clear RB2 status; Batista was able to find 231 carries for 1,093 yards for a 4.7 YPC average and 4 TDs. This ranks as #8 in the DSFL in terms of overall rushing yards. Batista also had a 69 yard burst TD which highlighted his explosive play ability. Basista seems to be plenty active in terms of updating, but is tied with Kevin Fakon for ranking 9th in this RB draft class in terms of overall TPE with 117. Additionally, Batista has an even $6mil in the bank account which doesn’t seem to have been touched as of recently. It looks as though Batista has focused his TPE entirely in Speed with some investment in Hands. This is not good considering the quality of this years class in those particular skills as Batista ranks 7th and 10th in Speed and Hands respectively. Batista needs a lot of improvement in his focused skill set, or needs to find a way to differentiate his skill set in order to find more value in the draft. Aaron Feels - ![]() ![]() Grade: C- Aaron Feels spent his rookie season in the DSFL as the third RB in Dallas’ RBBC set-up and found a good amount of touches. He had 89 carries for 455 yards for an impressive 5.1 YPC average along with 2 TDs. He also had 6 catches for 30 yards. As someone who shared a locker room with Feels, I can say that he would peek his head in every once in a while and would update his player often. Feels also has an even $6mil in his bank account which is at the lower end of the spectrum among active RBs. Feels ranks 11th in Overall TPE at 105 which is towards the back end of active RBs. Feels’ build is very similar to Batista’s with slightly less speed and hands, but slightly more endurance. Much like Batista, Feels has not done enough to differentiate himself from the other RBs in the class and will need to earn money and TPE at a much faster rate to pique some interest in the DSFL. Zed Keppler - ![]() ![]() Grade: C Keppler spent his rookie season for Portland as a back-up to Tatsu Nakamura where he would come in when Nakamura was tired and needed a rest. Zeppler only played in 8 games this seaosn, but was able to earn 111 carries for 485 yards and 2 TDs while supplementing this with 5 receptions for 25 yards. Despite being quite lowly ranked at 12th in Overall TPE among active RBs at 87, he seems to still be updating his page, but not earning TPE very regularly. Keppler might find some difficulty in the draft as he is one of the weakest and slowest players in the class, however his interesting mix of skills offer some change of pace from other similar TPE RBs. For example, Keppler has the 2nd highest agility skill among active RBs with 70 and the 4th highest Hands rating at 54. His bank account sits at an even $4mil which does not do much to improve his draft stock. Overall, Zeppler projects to be a late round pick where his differentiated skill set could create some value, especially if he were to improve in some other areas. Streetlamp LeMoose - :dsfl: ![]() Grade: D Streetlamp LeMoose is an interesting character, I believe he was drafted by Myrtle Beach into the DSFL, but for whatever reason is listed as a Free Agent, suggesting he refused to sign his rookie contract or was cut by the team. He was bale to play 3 games with Myrtle Beach in which he accumulated 6 carries for 35 yards and 1 reception for 5 yards. LeMoose currently has approximately $5.5mil in his bank account, but has not been seen or updated in over a month. In terms of skills, LeMoose is one of the lower quality RBs in the draft class, however he does boast an impressive 74 in Endurance which ranks as 3rd in his RB class. Overall, LeMoose ranks tied for 12th in Overall TPE with 57, but has at least updated more recently than the two players he is tied with. Obviously, LeMoose will be drafted, but I would be surprised if he found use in the NSFL and will likely retire as a Free Agent. Anthony De Luca - ![]() ![]() Grade: F Anthony De Luca was drafted in the latter rounds by the London Royals and obviously made no impression on the team as he made no appearances. He has not been active since February and because of this his stats are extremely low. If drafted, this player will likely remain inactive in the DSFL. Da Owl - ![]() ![]() Grade: D- Da Owl was drafted in the late rounds of the DSFL draft by Kansas City and played in 13 games as a FB, but only had a single carry for 11 yards and a TD; quite an impressive stat line. Much like De Luca, Owl has very low stats and has not been seen since February, suggesting he will likely have little value as an inactive. However, he does have a decent strength rating and could be a serviceable FB, but would remain in the DSFL until retired.
