*12 GM S22 NSFL Mock Draft - siddhus - 04-12-2020
Credits go to mithrandir for setting this whole thing up and bringing everyone together, he unfortunately can not post this due to internet problems, but he has made sure everyone did their part in picking. Also credit to all the GMs cause they were all active and we were not forced to have to wait more than a few hours for people. I hope this can become a yearly tradition as it was very fun to be part of.
So what is this?
In the upcoming NSFL draft there are 12 teams including the the two new expansion teams. We have chosen a user for each team, to draft as if they were the GMs, based on team needs and who would be the best fit, for the team. We went a total of 8 rounds. There were no rules, other than you can not trade picks.
Luckily, this was met with lots of enthuiasm, and 4 days later we come to you with the finished result. Now before the draft starts, lets find out who GMed, what team.

Round 1
1. Austin Copperheads
CB - Colt MendozaAmazing tester and has made a name for himself with his analysis. Steg is the heir apparent for JKortesi. He will be Mooty’s Co in a few seasons and fills a need at CB.
2. New Orleans Second Line
DT - Magnus Rikiya One of the premier DTs in this draft. The Second Line target Rikiya early as they are not only a top earner, but also an active forum personality. With both Bjorn Ironside and Blake Faux announcing their retirements, Rikiya is the obvious choice here.
3. Philadelphia Liberty
LB - Derred de VillePhiladelphia only has two LBs on their roster - Warren Stephens (S20 - 396TPE) and Wayne Howyanow (S18 - 284TPE). Howyanow appears inactive. Philadelphia secures one of the elite linebacker prospects in the draft. They considered taking cornerback, but considering the depth at the position decided to hold off.
4. Arizona Outlaws
CB - Tyler Oles JrArizona needs help everywhere on defense (except DT where they’re stacked). Right now they have a franchise cornerstone in Lucas Knight hitting regression and the young GM player in Unicorn’s Desmond Scarlett. I believe they draft Oles as he’s a player they like and are familiar with in Arizona and can start his career at safety or nickelback until he surpasses Knight.
5. San Jose Sabercats
- CB Chester SweetsChester Sweets is an unbelievable LR influence from KCC and with the need for Defensive Backs that San Jancito needs, Sweets will be drafted 5OA to his former gms team.
6. Philadelphia Liberty
DT - Phat BoiThe Liberty have holes all along the defensive line and a glaring need at defensive tackle. They snag the top earner in the draft class to fill that defensive tackle in Phat Boi.
7. Honolulu Hahalua
LB - Stanis?aw KoniecpolskiWith their first ever draft pick, the Hahalua decide to get Stanislaw. Currently third in the class in total TP, he will be capped at 250 TP by the end of the season. Honolulu are a young team, and with not many pieces in their team, have to pick players that they know they can trust on. Stanislaw is known to be a very good earner, which will help his case. Along with that, when building a team, you need to start at their defense, as "defense wins championships"
8. Colorado Yeti
CB - Thubba Bumper Bumper is one of the highest-TPE-earning players in the league, including near the top at his position. Along with incoming Rotticus Scott, he gives the Yeti a duo of lockdown corners for the future and backups for their best corner, Louisiana Purchase. Perhaps more importantly, it has been rumored that Bumper has a personal connection to the Yeti.
9. Baltimore Hawks
DE - Troen EgghandsBaltimore has needs at every defensive position as all but three of their defensive players are S15 or older. The Hawks are pleased to get Egghands at the ninth pick, as he is the top prospect at a very shallow position and will be a franchise player along the defensive line.
10. Orange County Otters
TE – Jeffrey Phillips With current tight end Johnny Blaze (S15) at the end of his career and DSFL send down Shakir Ahmed inactive, the otters make the smart choice and draft the second overall TPE player and speedy pass catcher (86 speed) at ten.
11. Yellowknife Wraiths
S - Matt "Son of Havoc" CrossWith the top DTs and TE gone, the Wraiths take the best safety to prepare for the future. They may not have a pressing need at the position, but with their current safeties nearing regression they'll be able to seamlessly transition to Cross when necessary.
12. New Orleans Second Line
QB - Ben Slothlisberger Everyone knew this pick was coming. Sloth retired/killed his linebacker (also on NOLA) so he could recreate as their QB of the future. Though he more or less said he would only play for the Second Line, I believe they follow the unwritten "don't be a dick" rule and take Slothlisberger with their second pick of the first round, though I could also see them waiting until the second round to do so.
Round 2
13. Sarasota Salfish
S - Johnny Hellzapoppin Sarasota has traded away its first round pick for future picks, a sign that the Sailfish GMs recognise that turning an expansion team into a competitive roster is a long process. With that in mind, they take someone who'll be a huge asset on and off the field. In Colabear Frost and Rain get an active user with a league job and plenty of cash, who they know well from the Buccaneers locker room. Cola will be a great influence on the whole of their draft class and they'll be pleasantly surprised to see him fall out of Round 1.
14. Honolulu Hahalua
CB - Brandon BookerBrandon Booker surprisingly fell all the way to the 14th pick. Booker is a very active user, active in many servers including the two expansion servers. With their second pick this draft, Honolulu decide to take yet another defensive player to stabilize their back line.
15. Arizona Outlaws
DE - James Cho Arizona lacks any dynamic players on the edge of their defense. Watch for them to use a pick here on the top remaining DE on the board once Egghands is gone. James Cho is a speed rusher who will make an impact quickly at the next level. Arizona continues to rebuild that defense and lands a great locker room guy at a position of need to help with that.
16. Arizona Outlaws
S - Buck Thornton With the two highest TPE earners at safety off the board in the first 13 picks, Arizona grabs the third highest earning safety as their second DB of the afternoon. Thornton is a solid earner and very friendly user. Arizona continues to search for activity at positions of need on defense early in this draft. Here they get a guy who checks both boxes and will become a household name down in the desert.
17. San Jose Sabercats
- QB Monty JackYeah this is a reach and we all know it. 7th round talent at best an probably won’t even start. But the Cats are known for reaching so they pick him here.
18. Philadelphia Liberty
CB - Andrew WittenAfter addressing their needs at linebacker and defensive line with their two first round picks, the Liberty needed to address their aging secondary. They have three corners currently on their roster - Emondov Emoji (S15 1069TPE), Julian McMorris (S17 644TPE), and Stuart Little IV (S18 238TPE). Emoji is hurtling towards regression, McMorris just retired, and Little has been inactive for three months. Philadelphia snags Andrew Witten - a high earner with strategic potential - in the second to fill the immediate need at corner.
19. Austin Copperheads
DT - Deshun JonesThe Copperheads are in a really strong position without many needs even with expansion pending. The choose Jones here for his locker room presence and consistent media production. He is going to be a great earner and one that will most likely over take their existing DTs in Tpe in a few seasons.
20. Colorado Yeti
DE Sandro Ryeu This isn't a position of need, but Ryeu will improve an already strong defensive front at a position that doesn't have a ton of depth.
21. Chicago Butchers
DE - Benson Bayley Jr. Chicago drafts their new GM in Benson Bayley Jr. However in a normal circumstance this would still be an excellent selections. Has not only would Chicago be getting someone with a wealth of sim experience, they're also getting a valuable member for the locker room.
22. Orange County Otters
DT – Octavio Clemente A great start to the draft for the Otters as the fill their second biggest need in the athletic Clemente. He will be paired with Rapid Eagle (S21) to anchor the interior defensive line for the future. Orange county finished third in the league in rushing defense (124.1 yards per game) and with Clemente that number could improve.
23. Yellowknife Wraiths
QB - Colby Jack As a GM recreate the Wraiths have to take Colby Jack as the 3rd and final GM in the second round. He's a max-earner that can replace an aging QB as Yellowknife's QB of the future.
24. New Orleans Second Line
LB - Haha Mango-Panda With the aforementioned death and retirement of Johnny Slothface to rise from the ashes as Ben Slothlisberger, New Orleans find themselves in need of a linebacker. While DSFL send-down Ugarth the Dissector will likely be brought up to replace Johnny, the Second Line's other top linebacker, Quenton Bode was created the same year as Slothface, and will be entering regression. With retirement likely coming sooner rather than later for Bode, the Second Line use this pick to future-proof the linebacker spot
Round 3
25. Honolulu Hahalua
RB - White GoodmanHahalua after focusing on their defensive side of the ball for their first two picks, now go for a running back in White Goodman. Gucci has tons of expierence in war rooms and will be a valuable member of the squad. Gucci also started the Dallas Birddogs so he has some little expierence in how expansion team works and be valuable. Gucci also talks in the Honolulu discord server a lot, building relationships in both GMs, Dwyer and Raven.
26. Sarasota Sailfish
CB - Cadillac Harris With nickel being the most popular defensive formation, you can never have too many defensive backs. Most NSFL teams chose to protect their better cornerbacks in the expansion draft, so Sarasota look likely to be light at the position. Cadillac Harris is another user who's very active on discord, so he should help make Sarasota's locker room a fun place to be as the team builds for the future. He's another user with a big bank account from writing media, so Tier 6 equipment should be no problem at all. A loaded CB class means Cadillac Harris slips to the third round, but no further.
27. Baltimore Hawks
CB - Eldrick Avery An elite earner at CB, Avery falls all the way to round 3 due to an incredibly deep cornerback class. The third highest earner is the eighth CB off the board because of the high media output, discord activity, and intangibles of his peers. Nevertheless, Baltimore is thrilled to get such a great player at their biggest position of need. With both Acho and Troyski retiring, Baltimore was forced to protect uninspiring CB Juan Marston. Avery will soon take over as the team's number one guy.
28. Arizona Outlaws
LB - Lawrence Bass Arizona has Galf Wilf at the Linebacker position already and he projects to be the future leader of the Outlaw defense. That being said, Arizona grabs another top LB prospect here in Minnesota’s Lawrence Bass. He projects to be a good complement to Wilf moving into the future and will provide Arizona with another solid player at the position. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the user from the rest of the class, so I expect Arizona will enjoy adding another positive, active user to their already solid locker room core.
29. San Jose Sabercats :Sabercats : - S Sebastian Vettel
Vettel is the second addition to the Sabercats defense core as he’s a good earner and a solid LR presence on his DSFL team. The greg ducks
30. Philadelphia Liberty
WR - William LimAlthough the Liberty have three capable receivers on the roster in Nacho Varga (S15 1360TPE), Jake Dropson (S18 456TPE), and Randy Vuxta (S20 440TPE) the chance to add one of the draft's premier receivers in the middle of the third round is too good to pass up. William Lim can be a good development offensive piece for Philadelphia and can begin to step in the coming seasons as Varga begins to experience regression.
31. Honolulu Hahalua
DT - Mo "Mamba" MagicHahalua recently came out with their first free agent signing in another Defensive Line player. They will use Mo Magic to help strengthen their line, so they do not get blown out in their first few seasons. Their whole defense will grow together, till they become an unstoppable dynasty.
32. Colorado Yeti
WR - Eddie JeetaColorado is likely to lose a WR to the expansion draft a d pick up their WR3 and receiver of the future, a great 3rd round value.
33. Baltimore Hawks
S - Quinn Hughes The Hawks continue the overhaul of their defense, adding another very good player to their secondary and locker room. Hughes had an amazing rookie debut with the Royals, scoring a defensive touchdown and a safety to begin his career. As a pro-ready prospect, he will be ready to go if Uchicha is nabbed in the expansion draft.
34. Orange County Otters
RB – Acura Skyline The Otters need some help in the backfield and expected to have their choice of running back at this pick. Goodman comes off the board earlier than expected but Orange County is happy to land the big play speed back in Skyline who has the strength to break tackles at the next level.
35. Yellowknife Wraiths
TE - Heath Evans The Wraiths currently don't have a tight end on their roster, and with such a shallow TE class it's crucial that they add one early. Despite missing out on Phillips early they still land a top player in Evans, an excellent consolation prize. Evans is a top-25 player in the class that falls due to positional importance, so the Wraiths are ecstatic he's still on the board here as a mismatch weapon with great speed and strength.
36. Sarasota Sailfish
OL - Bruce Buckley As an expansion team that doesn't figure to be competitive in year one, Sarasota looks likely to draft whoever they think is the best available player. Buckley's a high earner and great locker room presence, making him an ideal choice for an expansion team. Heath Evans going one pick before makes this two Aussies back-to-back, and having GMed Myrtle Beach to an Ultimini Frost is well aware of how valuable human OL can be.
Round 4
37. Sarasota Sailfish
OL - Calvin Golladay The crowd goes wild as Sarasota picks a second offensive lineman and becomes the new favourite team of every fair rubs advocate. iStegosauruz's data shows that offensive linemen are viable at much lower TPE (and therefore for much cheaper) than OL bots, so Buckley and Golladay could be valuable contributors to the Sailfish well into regression, making these players two outstanding long-term picks.
38. Honolulu Hahalua
WR - Thomas PassmanHahalua for their first two seasons of existence will have the help of Corvo Havran, at the helm. To make sure they get the most out of him, they draft Passman so that way he has reliable targets. StamkosFan I believe is a prominent figure in SHL, so can be trusted upon to be a good earner in this league.
39. Arizona Outlaws
DE - Patrik Money To be competitive in the future, Arizona will need to continue to build depth on defense like they currently have on offense. With several good players left on the board, they take talented KCC DE, Patrik Money. Another active player and good earner at a position of need gives Arizona added flexibility in the rest of their draft. Look for Mr. Money to make a big impact in the future in the desert.
40.Arizona Outlaws
WR - Michael Witheblock Arizona spent three beginning of the draft going exclusively defense and are now in a position to make a BPA pick. Here they get great value in a top 3 WR in the 4th round. He will immediately be the top receiver Arizona has in their system and can be considered a draft and stash player. Look for Baby Yoda to man the slot and play RB2 this season, but eventually that slot spot will be Witheblock’s to make his own as the team grabs another weapon for Jay Cue.
41. San Jose Sabercats
- S Wesley Eriksen The Sabercats add yet another huge addition to the secondary in the safety Eriksen. It’s a surprise he falls this far in the draft and he will get immediate playing time with the kitties.
42. Austin Copperheads
WR - Susan Cash Jr.The run on wide receivers starts a little earlier than I would have liked, but waiting on drafting a WR to replace Rod Tidwell pays off. Susan Cash Jr. is a consistent earner and someone I notice release media. If Tidwell is gone in expansion draft, Austin may need Cash Jr to step up from day one. I think he is up to the task.
43. Austin Copperheads
RB- Kichwa Jones Thrilled with the value on the offensive players at this point in the draft. Jones is tied for second with 219 TPE for the S22 Rbs. He will stashed for a year and then start to make some contributions as Mako Mendonca hits regression.
44. Colorado Yeti
LB Fawn Dilmiballs Mo Berry is the man, but he cant play everywhere, despite the Yeti's insistence. LB2 Tony Gabagool is CO's only other LB and he was left unprotected in the draft. Dilmiballs gives them some talent at the position.
45. Baltimore Hawks
DT - Big Edd Baltimore's fourth pick is yet again on the defensive side of the ball. They managed to get the last top defensive tackle before a big drop off, forming a formidable rookie duo with Troen Egghands on the defensive line.
46. Orange County Otters
LB – George "Corpse Grinder" Fisher With a big cliff (30 TPE) between Fisher and the next available linebacker (Mark Radson) the Otters add some youth to an aging position group. Fisher has a good mix of speed and strength, but his intelligence is lacking. He could get more seasoning at the DSFL level next year before joining the big club.
47. Yellowknife Wraiths
OL - Byron Dolls Despite still having a need at DT, the value isn't great here. Instead, they go BPA and land the best OL in the class to anchor their offensive line. Dolls is a recreate with more TPE than Buckley and Golladay, but is still available almost a round after the first OL are off the board. The Wraiths are able to stay patient and avoid reaching on positions of need, which yet again pays off with their 4th top-25 player in the class to protect new QB Colby Jack for the next 10 seasons.
48. New Orleans Second Line
DE - Slinky Claxton New Orleans grabbed Magnus Rikiya with the second overall pick, but with both of the top two of their four defensive linemen retiring, and another about to hit his first year of regression in S23, they'll want to spend another pick here to replenish that position. While both retiring players are defensive tackles, there is better value on the board at the defensive end position at this time. The Second Line snatch up one of the last high earning defensive line players in Slinky Claxton.
Round 5
49. Honolulu Hahalua
S - Shawn DawkinsSafety is a very important part of the teams' defense and Hahulua are lucky to have grabbed a good safety in the fifth round. Dawkins will make up the No Fly Zone along with Brandon Booker, as Hahulua show their priorities on defense as opposed to their offense.
50. Sarasota Sailfish
S - LiterallyJust A. Hexagon With the elite prospects off the board, the Sailfish draft based on activity and picks a player who has surged up draft boards recently due to his uptick in activity. Depending on the results of the expansion draft, Sarasota could be pretty heavy on offense given their first three players are QB Zack Vega, RB Dax Frost and WR Rayne Gordon. The 6' six-sided safety from Sixes is preferred to less active users with more TPE and gives the team another defensive back.
51. Arizona Outlaws
RB - Tatsu Nakamura The Outlaws use another BPA pick on future workhorse back, Tatsu Nakamura. qWest is a great user who is intelligent and can fit in well in any locker room. With Baby Yoda likely playing a gadget player type of role in the future, Tatsu will have every opportunity to make his mark on this team in the future as the lead back. If Ruff Ruff goes in the expansion draft, Arizona will be able to bring him in as RB2 right away.
52. Arizona Outlaws
TE - James Angler Outlaws take a player here to fill their biggest offensive need. Although he’s behind Daniel George in TPE for now, he has nearly surpassed him, which is incredibly impressive considering that he created after the season began. With a top earner at TE, Jammerson Irving will be able to slowly descend into regression with a solid backup plan in place. Also seems to be a nice and enthusiastic user who likely contributes positively to his locker room.
53. San Jose Sabercats Sabercats: - WR William Alexander
Alexander is another representative of the Greg Ducks and is a well earning WR. With the Cats main WR hitting regression in a couple seasons he will be a good slot receiver for the cats until he eventually becomes the main WR.
54. Arizona Outlaws
S - Eric Barlow Arizona jumps are the opportunity to take one of the draft’s top tier safeties here with their final pick of the fifth round. Barlow’s user, Thiath, is about as active as he can be, runs a league book club, and rarely misses TPE. One potential worry for GM’s is Barlow’s lack of speed and seeming unwillingness to apply TPE there, which has caused him to drop to this point, but eventually he’ll have to put TPE there and will become one of the league’s top safeties. I like the comparison to Baltimore’s Walt Green when looking at this player.
55. Honolulu Hahalua
CB - Ben StackinpaperStackinpaper will make up the last part of the Honolulu defense. Stackinpaper is a very active user in the locker room, and I have had the pleasure of being able to interact with him in Tijuana. Cornerbacks are a high need in the NSFL, but in this deep draft class, Honolulu are able to come out with two solid corners.
56. Philadelphia Liberty
CB - Johnathan AltidorAlthough the Liberty took a cornerback in the second round with their selection of Andrew Witten, more help in the secondary is always valuable. Johnathan Altidor is a versatile corner who can be molded into a defensive chess piece for the Liberty over the next few seasons.
57. Baltimore Hawks
CB - Zamir Kehla Zamir's high activity on discord and his penchant for brazen trash talk has earned him some enemies in the NSFL. Because of this, teams have pursued other options at the deepest position in this draft class, and Zamir has fallen further than he deserves. That being said, his teammates swear that he is a great locker room guy, and his talent is undeniable with 5 interceptions in his first year in the DSFL. If Kehla can show that he can fit in a locker room, he will be an incredible steal in the fifth round as the Hawks find another elite corner to pair with Avery and turn the team's biggest weakness into a strength.
58. Orange County Otters
WR – Nick Kaepercolin Star wideout Hugh Mongo will be in regression next season and the Otters left Dexter Banks II unprotected for this coming expansion draft. If he is gone there will be an opening for a slot receiver and Kaepercolin could slide into a first season role Orange County. He has some of the best hands in the class but will need to work on his speed to get separation from NSFL defensive backs.
59. Yellowknife Wraiths
RB - Richard Gilbert This pick is all about upside and value, but they're still able to fill a secondary need here. Reggie was often overlooked at Tijuana as a 1b. option to Barker, but put up excellent stats and looks to form a great young tandem at RB with Drake.
60. Sarasota Sailfish
TE - Daniel George Frost and Rain will be looking to recreate the positive locker room atmosphere they helped to cultivate in Myrtle Beach and adding Daniel George to their roster is a good way to do that. He's a friendly and well-liked user at a position of need - Sarasota doesn't have a tight end yet - and his presence will be valuable as the Sailfish navigate through their first few difficult seasons.

61. Sarasota Sailfish
WR - Garfield Despacito, Jr.: Sarasota adds another Myrtle Beach alumni on the offensive side of the ball, giving Zack Vega an additional target to throw to. The front office will have no questions about Garfield's character or personality due to the Buccaneers connection, and Gwdjohnson is an experienced sim league user. Being able to link affiliate PTs etc. from SHL also gives him a higher activity floor than the other players available at this spot.62. Honolulu Hahalua
RB - Julio TirtawidjajaTirtawidjaja famous to the league for his two game switch to QB is a highly coveted prospect. Honolulu will be happy he stayed at runningback as he will be a vital part along side White Goodman is running Running back by Committee, a proven method to doing well in this league. Julio is also a very nice user to talk to, helping. build the foundations of Honolulu Locker Room.
63 Philadelphia Liberty
S - Hamish MacAndrewThe Liberty dip into the deep secondary class in this draft for the third time, taking Dallas safety Hamish MacAndrew. Although they have three safeties on the roster in Richard D'Attoria V (S15 1181TPE), Lamont McKinnie (S15 1000TPE), and Lennox Garret (S11 396TPE) the Liberty could use another young piece that can be ready in a few seasons to fill in for their aging veterans. MacAndrews has been a consistent earner for the Birddogs and can be a steal for the Liberty.
64 Arizona Outlaws
LB - Jack Banks Arizona would’ve liked to go OL here with their multitude of picks, but still has a few spots on their team left to fill, so the value is not there at OL just yet. Instead Arizona takes an active player and solid earner in Jack Banks to sure up that linebacking core. He might not come up next season, but at his current rate he’ll claim a spot in Arizona’s team in the future.
65. San Jose Sabercats
- OL Tommy SacamonoAll I really have to say with this pick is fair rubs for San Jose.
66. Chicago Butchers
RB - Jamar LacksonJamar Lackson is an often overlooked prospect that will be an important addition to Chicago’s rebuild. After losing Ryan Leaf Jr to retirement at the end of the season. Lackson may not be as well known as his draft mates, but he will be a great addition for the Butchers in the sixth round.
67. Baltimore Hawks
LB - Mark Radson The Hawks have loaded up on defensive talent in this draft. With two linemen and three defensive backs already selected, the Hawks finally address the middle of their defense with linebacker Mark Radson. Though he has missed an update, the Hawks will hope that being drafted into the NSFL will spark more activity and that he can eventually become a starter.
68. Colorado Yeti
CB Baydon Brosley Yeti get their hands on another CB. Brosley is outspoken, sure to be an active member in the league. Colorado has a need at both S and CB and will have their pick of Bumper or Brosley.
69. Baltimore Hawks
LB - Spike Suzuki The Hawks double dip at the linebacker position in the sixth. With all three starting linebackers in regression, the Hawks are hoping to hit on at least one of these guys. They take Suzuki, a mid-tier earner who is the best left on the board.
70. Orange County Otters
K/P – Matthew McDairmid In an unprecedentedly large draft class, there is only one top kicking prospect. The Otters having filled all their biggest needs in the first five picks and with current kicker Alex Dasistwirklichseinnachname about to hit regression, this is a smart developmental pick for Orange County here at seventy before he comes off the board (66 point TPE cliff for next available). Expect McDairmid to slide into the starting kicking role in two seasons.
71. Yellowknife Wraiths
DT - Nuniq An... With only one DT on their roster, the Wraiths came into the draft looking to add a game-breaker at the position. After missing out on the top options in previous rounds they're still able to add a stalwart to their DL to play alongside an aging Kroustis. Yellowknife continues to combine need with value with Nuniq as one of the best players on the board at the only remaining hole on a championship-caliber roster.
72. New Orleans Second Line
WR - Leeroy Jenkins New Orleans currently only has three wide receivers on it's roster. Of those three, Bona'beri Jones has announced retirement, Jed Podolak is unprotected for the expansion draft, and Smolder Bravestone appears to be inactive. While the Second Line isn't shy about lining up their running backs out wide and I've heard whispers that one of running backs may be making a full on position switch to receiver, I believe they grab the top receiver currently available to bolster their wilting corps.

73. New Orleans Second Line
OL - Joey McCabe New Orleans is one of the few teams in the NSFL that puts a lot of value on their offensive linemen. They have two studs on their team now, but one is due to hit regression in S22 and the other is only a season behind. With most of their other needs addressed to this point, the Second Line spend this pick to grab the last of the higher earning linemen in this class to take the reins in a couple seasons.
74. Austin Copperheads
Mike Lee WR Doubling up on wide receivers in preparation to lose Rod Tidwell. Getting a WR with a Hall of Fame pedigree is a huge win. Between Lee and Cash Jr. The wide out position should be covered for the next few seasons
75. Philadelphia Liberty
DE - Mario vonPebbles The Liberty list three defensive ends on their roster. ILove Gimmy (S18 541TPE), Mike Franchet (S18 305TPE), and Jeff Personsacker (S21 88TPE) currently man the position them. Mario vonPebbles is an active, on the rise defensive end however who can help bolster the defensive line going forward. This is a depth pick that gambles on vonPebbles' potential when gets into an NSFL locker room.
76. Arizona Outlaws
K - Sam SidekickKicker so often gets overlooked in the NSFL, but Arizona bucks the trend here and takes Sidekick. Evok is a great user and plays in several leagues. Arizona recognizes this and grabs a solid LR contributor who can immediately improve the team here in the 7th round. Kicker is now set for several seasons.
77. San Jose Sabercats :Sabercats : - DE Ismael Sanchez
Sanchez is another Coyote alumni and with the departure of rookie Logan Noble Jr from the cats, they will look for a replacement in the well earning Sanchez.
78. Chicago Butchers
QB - Jim WatersSiddhus wants to go to chicago, being the merciful god I am, I shall grant his wish.
79. Austin Copperheads
Brendan Lanier- S: I know Brendan from my time with Myrtle Beach. He switched to Safety for us and came on super strong to end the year with us. He is one of the reasons why we had such a dominant defense in the playoffs as he closed our last hole. The Copperheads getting a team first player that is willing to make sacrifices for the benefit of the team. He is trending up and I expect him to keep that trajectory.80. Colorado Yeti
QB Luke Skywalker CO looks to Skywalker to be the QB of the future as McDummy is coming to the last few years of his career.
81. Baltimore Hawks
Donatello Arrabiata - TEBaltimore addressed their defensive needs with the first six rounds. Now that they have filled their biggest holes in the roster, they can look to add the best player available regardless of position. It never hurts to have more active players, so the Hawks take the 65th ranked player on Mithrandir's draft big board and the fifth best tight end in this draft. The Hawks don't use the tight end position in their offense, so maybe they'll ask Arrabiata to switch positions since Arrabiata is a much better pass catcher than he is blocker. Maybe the Hawks change their offensive strategy and commit more to the run, especially considering the loss of long time starter Corvo Havran, in which case they'll ask Arrabiata to improve as a blocker.
82. Orange County Otters
DE – Simeon Works With their last pick in the first eight rounds of the NSFL draft, the Otters add Works to the edge. Simeon has good speed and strength and had 10 tackles for loss with 3 sacks this past season. Works is a good piece to develop next season while Orange County sorts out the defensive end position.
83. Yellowknife Wraiths
WR - Kevin Koh With three good WRs on the roster this is a bit of a luxury pick, but Nate Swift is already in regression so adding a replacement makes sense here. He'll be a #3 option behind Rodriguez and Hardigan once Swift retires, but has the potential to develop into a solid #2 to Rodriguez with requisite speed and hands for the position.
84. New Orleans Second Line
S - Magnus Valdyr With only one active safety on the roster (who is protected) and multiple unprotected CBs, The Second Line dips into the fabled Tijuana-New Orleans pipeline to grab their second Magnus of the draft. While they would prefer to develop Valdyr in the DSFL for another season or two, this pick also provides New Orleans with a security blanket should the expansion draft ravage their secondary.
Round 8
85. Sarasota Sailfish
DT - Hank Steel No player available in Round 8 is perfect, but Hank Steel's activity is trending upwards. After a slow start, DrChops has become more active on the forums and on twitter, and recently wrote a pre-draft media piece. If Sarasota can take advantage of Steel's renewed interest in the league he could develop into a quality starter on the defensive line.
86. Honoulu Hahalua
TE - Von Hayes Honolulu do not yet have a Tight End on their roster, so pick one up in Von Hayes here. He is not that high of TP, but is a solid piece that if stays active, can be very good in a few seasons. Most teams only have one Tight End, so Hayes has an important job in front of him.
87 Arizona Outlaws
RB - Aaron Feels We’re now at the point in the draft where nothing besides BPA picks make sense. Arizona pulls an active and mature RB prospect to put in their DSFL development pipeline. They may ask him to switch to another position, or they may keep him down in the DSFL as a developmental RB who may eventually break into the team or be traded for more assets. Soupman89 is a solid user and really nice guy who will add to what now must be a very active locker room with all of these new players joining. Solid addition for the Outlaws.
88 Arizona Outlaws
DE - Jimmy Frackerson Another BPA pick, Frackerson was a crucial cog in the Myrtle Beach defense this season. While he didn’t earn at the rate of some of his teammates, he did continue to rack up a solid TPE total over the course of the year and was a fairly productive player on the field. Arizona continues to draft DEs and now have active depth players at each DL position. Another player they can stash in the DSFL with the hopes that he continues to develop. Maybe one day he claims a starting spot or is traded to a team in need of an active DE.
89. San Jose Sabercats
- WR Daymond BrooksSJS reaches out for brooks so he and butters can rekindle his relationship while Brooks swaps to a Defensive end to play on the line.
90. Chicago Butchers
CB - Ozmataz BuckshankHaving addressed other key needs, Chicago is more than happy to get Buckshank in the eighth. With a situation as unique as the butchers do, it will be interesting to see exactly what happens this late into the draft. Buckshank will hopefully be a sleeper for Chicago’s future.
91. Honolulu Hahalua
QB Tom SofaCorvo Havran is starting regression this season, and will need a replacement soon. With top quarterbacks, Ben Slothsliberger and Jim Waters taken off the board, they decide to take Tom Sofa a very nice and positive dude, and is the current Mr. Irrevalant in DSFL Draft. Well he has stepped his game up and will certainly not be the last pick this season. Many people including myself think he will go to Sarosota,but with it already being the 8th round, Honolulu can not wait anymore to pick.
92. Colorado Yeti
LB Devaunte SackpiederRev forgot a description so ill write one. Devaunte is a semi-active player on the Luchadores. I have seen him around on discord, and Yeti will take a chance on him to make sure and convince him he. should stay active.
93. New Orleans Second Line
- CB Alexander Hamilton IIWith most of the "sure thing" prospects off the board at this point, New Orleans spends a mid round flier on Alexander Hamilton II. Hamilton was on pace to be one of the top earners in this stacked CB class up until midway through March when he stopped updating. The Second Line picks him up here in hopes they can coax him back into the league and that he will pick up with his earning right where he left off.
94. Philadelphia Liberty
LB - Samuel L Sackson SrThe liberty landed an elite linebacker prospect in Derred de Ville in round one to give them three active linebackers. Deep into round eight they snag another active linebacker who can play as a depth linebacker and has potential to improve in Sackson
95. Yellowknife Wraiths
- CB Matt Krause The best remaining CB prospect comes off the board as the Wraiths take advantage of the CB depth in this draft. With Snuggles in regression and nearing retirement they could use a young CB, and Krause will be able to continue his development in the DSFL until said retirement. CB is an extremely important position, and if Yellowknife can land an active prospect there at this point in the draft it'll be a major win for their secondary.
96. New Orleans Second Line
- WR Tan Johnson The Second Line takes another project in the 8th round with Tan Johnson. Johnson seems to have sporadic activity, but similar to Hamilton 3 picks earlier if they are able to lure him back into the league with their highly active locker room they'll have a quality earner on their hands and another offensive weapon to add to their thin group of receivers.

Seconded! I initially declined because I thought it was going to be more work than I wanted. Turns out it went faster, was really enjoyable, and took far less time than I imagined. Great job by mith and all the participants.
