*S22 Mock Draft by PMoney - PMoney - 04-13-2020

Welcome to my S22 50 pick Mock draft. ISFL_old
Unlike other mock drafts that have been crafted around inconsequential factors like TPE, LR presence and war room potential, this mock draft is focussed on raw forum posting stats. The initial idea plan for this draft was for a mock ranked on shitposting, but due to that being difficult to make into definitive numbers, the actual mock is on posts made to the forum. The higher the number the better. This is in an attempt to put the focus on higher quantity rather than quality which is really what you want if you are looking for shitposting. While some people may claim that a quality in-depth statistical analysis piece (like those from iSteg) are of value, very few would argue that it is more valuable than responding “nice” or “didn’t apply” on 2 separate posts. Discord is quite clearly a dying format so only forum activity will be useful going forward.

The rules are that every team must pick via BPA, best poster available. Unlike the regular draft where teams must pick GM players with a second-round pick, teams must trade up to the appropriate selection to draft a GM player. I have also provided Posts per Day stats on every player as this helps show which newer players may have higher potential than veterans who have increased their post counts over a longer period. This might be getting close to a legitimate analysis if I ranked it by PPD though so total posts is still the only ranking factor. A short description of the player or whether this was an appropriate pick is provided, particularly as teams may not be drafting for positions of need or TPE potential.

I have also only looked at players above 100 TPE as I have deemed anyone below that threshold not active enough to provide high quantity posting. The first 50 picks in the draft will be mocked as that just squeezes myself into another mock.

TPE stats taken from the roster page and post count from profiles, both at time of writing. Apologies if any details are incorrect or you somehow took any comments seriously.

#1 AUS (Via HON ) Tyler Oles Jr. - Pythons – LB – 215 TPE – 2717 Posts – 2.7 PPD
Tyler Oles Jr is a veteran of the league as many of the top picks in this draft are but puts up a good 2.7 PPD making him the undisputed #1 overall. While some teams may be concerned about his role as an updater helping him boost his point count, Oles Jr stands over 1000 posts above the next contender

#2 CHI (Via NOLA (via NOR )) Benson Bayley Jr. - Birddogs – CB – 165 TPE – 1684 – 1.7 PPD
The second player in the draft is the new Chicago GM Bayley. While NOLA traded for the second overall pick earlier in the season, they flip the pick to Chicago for a massive haul of whatever scraps Chicago has left in the next 2 drafts. While over 1000 posts behind T.O., Bayley has an extensive posting history which will only continue as the new Chicago GM.

#3 PHI Stanislaw Koniecpolski - Birddogs – LB – 246 TPE – 1357 – 1.7 PPD
The third and final 1000+ poster as well as a pick that could actually happen. The PBE commissioner is a strong earner and would be a great addition to the Philly LR.

#4 YKW (Via ARI ) Colby Jack - Royals – QB – 245 TPE – 922 – 2.3 PPD
Yellowknife become the second team to have to trade up for their GM. Their QB of the future once Bigsby retires and a strong posting history, even if much of it is productive.

#5 PHI (Via SJS ) Mike Lee - Birddogs – WR – 160 TPE – 874 – 0.8 PPD
Philly trade up one spot as San Jose need to pick at 6 for strict BPA reasons. While a relatively low PPD for his position in the draft, Lee can definitely provide some posting potential and expands on the young Philly WR group.

#6 SJS (Via PHI (Via CHI )) Monty Jack - Birddogs – QB – 229 TPE – 886 – 2.1 PPD
The pick that caused the aforementioned trade, San Jose pick up their GM and QB of the future. GM picks have strong PPD and Monty Jack is no exception.

#7 NOLA (Via HON (Via AUS )) Ben Slothlisberger - Luchadores – QB – 203 TPE – 756 – 1.8 PPD
With some of the draft capital acquired from trading the #2 pick, NOLA trade up to select their future QB Ben Slothlisberger. Trades aren’t much of a consideration in this draft, but Slothlisberger to NOLA has been the worst kept secret since GM chat memes.

#8 COL Byron Dolls - Pythons – OL – 212 TPE – 687 – 0.6 PPD
Fair rubs with this pick as the highest TPE O Lineman is taken at 8. Colorado is one of Dolls’ top draft destinations so could be a good match here as Colorado currently have no player OL (as Laszlo Forty-Two was taken in expansion).

#9 BAL White Goodman - Birddogs – RB – 246 TPE – 580 – 1.4 PPD
Some people may claim Baltimore don’t need a running back in the first round. Those people are clearly wrong as White Goodman is next up on posting hierarchy. The former Dallas GM would be a useful addition to the Baltimore locker room.

#10 OCO Jonathon Altidor - Buccaneers – CB – 185 TPE – 576 – 0.6 PPD
OCO have 3 high TPE active CB’s, why would they need another? Strict mock draft rules, that’s why.

#11 YKW Jeffrey Phillips - Birddogs – TE – 247 TPE – 541 - 0.5 PPD
A surprisingly sensible pick at #11 for Yellowknife. The top TE in the class for a TE needy team.

#12 HON (Via NOLA ) Thomas Passmann - Luchadores: – WR – 200 TPE – 458 – 0.9 PPD
Honolulu start out with a wide receiver. While expansion draft gave them 2 solid WR’s, a third will give them a good corps to start out the franchise. While cleared of murder charges, Passmann is still a risky prospect.

#13 SAR Sam Sidekick - Seawolves – K/P -132 TPE – 424 – 0.4 PPD
Sarasota kick off their first regular draft with… a kicker? Having just drafted a kicker in the expansion draft, this is questionable, even for my reasoning.

#14 HON Jim Waters - Luchadores – QB – 207 TPE – 302 – 1.9 PPD
This is probably the highest Jim Waters will go in any mock. His 1.9 PPD rivals top prospects but decreased longevity in the league means he is a second round pick. Honolulu do need a QB soon once Havran retires, but Waters may well retire first.

#15 ARI Brandon Booker - Buccaneers – CB – 218 TPE – 249 – 4.4 PPD
The PPD king. No-one else on this list beats Booker for PPD, with only 1 other prospect above 3 PPD. Creating in February, Booker is the first true rookie on this list.

#16 ARI Zamir Kehla - Pythons – CB – 213 TPE – 234 – 4.2 PPD
A quiet and reserved player but a good pick as Arizona bolsters it’s secondary with back to back picks. With a combined 8.6 PPD they may struggle to find time to play football, but you will see them on the forums.

#17 SJS Thubba Bumper - Seawolves – CB – 212 TPE – 204 – 0.7 PPD
Widely seen as the first pick for Colorado, San Jose benefit from a drop due to, you guessed it, lower post count.

#18 PHI Tom Sofa - Buccaneers – QB – 181 TPE – 201 – 0.3 PPD
A very low PPD and the lowest in the top 50 as Sofa has technically been around a long time but has been more active recently. Mr Irrelevant makes big gains from the DSFL draft.

#19 AUS Octavio Clemente - Buccaneers – DT – 216 TPE – 3.4PPD
Seems like a solid dude, a rarity from Myrtle Beach.

#20 COL Chester Sweets - Coyotes – CB – 202 TPE – 192 – 3.4 PPD
Sweets goes inside the second. Only posting being included in this draft hurts Sweets as he provides high quality podcasts. A great guy that Colorado will be thankful to draft.

#21 NOLA (Via CHI (Via BAL ) Jamar Lackson - Greyducks – RB – 192 TPE – 169 – 0.5 PPD
As part of the trade for Chicago to pick up #2, NOLA gained Chicago’s second round pick and select Jamar Lackson. While a running back, Lackson appears to have been scouted as more of a QB.

#22 OCO Cadillac Harris - Royals – CB – 198 TPE – 153 – 2.7 PPD
Another CB for the growing collection of Orange County. Gotta catch ‘em all!

#23 YKW Magnus Rikiya - Seawolves – DT – 216 TPE – 150 – 2.6 PPD
Some consider Rikiya to be a top prospect in the draft and a lock for NOLA at #2 overall. However, in a world of volume stats, Rikiya and his agent Tesla have a considerable amount to learn. For an example, their recent Design-a-draft article gave a very in-depth analysis, but at over 8000 words, time could have been spent better replying to 8000 different threads and securing the top draft spot. Squeezed just between 2 NOLA picks.

#24 NOLA Eric Barlow - Birddogs – S – 196 TPE – 139 – 2.4 PPD
Didn't think NOLA wanted him due to late drafting. Whether or not he was right, the posts dictated he is now in New Orleans.

#25 HON Derred de Ville - Royals – LB – 229 TPE – 137 – 2.4 PPD
Both an excellent LB and excellent predictor of DSFL MVP.

#26 SAR Mo “Mamba” Magic - Greyducks – DT – 201 TPE – 134 – 2.4 PPD
While drafted to the Sailfish, Mamba does agree with the fact that the logo is a marlin.

#27 BAL Deshun Jones - Birddogs – DT – 212 – 130 – 2.3 PPD
Provided some early insight into DSFL TPE gains which provided him some posting gains early.

#28 ARI Quinn Hughes - Royals – S -209 TPE – 130 – 2.3 PPD
Arizona pick up an excellent safety from across the pond. Should provide a very strong secondary with earlier draft picks and former GM Jamie Nkiah.

#29 SJS Phat Boi - Coyotes – DT – 259 TPE – 128 – 1.7 PPD
The highest TPE earning rookie teams up with his GM Butters to create a lethal interior line in San Jose.

#30 PHI Heath Evans - Buccaneers – TE – 212 TPE – 124 – 2.2 PPD
Philly look to run 2 TE all season with Heath Evans alongside star TE Avon Blocksdale Jr.

#31 HON Susan Cash Jr. - Royals – WR – 194 TPE – 121 – 2.1 PPD
Honolulu pick up WR4 in case the murder charges against Passmann reappear.

#32 COL Troen Egghands - Buccaneers – DE – 221 TPE – 120 – 2.1 PPD
Ocewilder leaving in expansion means there is a gap at DE for Colorado, so the get good value at #32.

#33 BAL Sandro Ryeu - Royals – DE – 211 TPE – 120 – 2.1 PPD
A run on DE’s as Baltimore take Ryeu. Baldari leaving in expansion means there is a gap at DE for Baltimore, so they get good value at #33.

#34 OCO Buck Thornton - Greyducks – S – 214 TPE – 117 – 2.1 PPD
Who needs an offence when you have 100 defensive backs for Orange County?

#35 YKW Haha Mango-Panda - Birddogs – LB – 207 TPE – 117 – 2.1 PPD
The last rookie above 2 PPD, Mango-Panda can replace Selich in what could soon be the best LB corps in the league.

#36 SAR (Via NOLA ) William Lim - Birddogs – WR – 216 TPE – 110 - 1.9 PPD
While Sarasota do not currently have a QB, they have receivers to run routes.

#37 SAR Andrew Witten - Luchadores – CB – 205 TPE – 110 – 1.9 PPD
Sarasota pick up a CB in case opposition don’t agree to match them with house rules “no QB’s“

#38 ARI Big Edd - Birddogs – DT – 190 TPE – 109 – 1.9 PPD
Big Edd has requested a trade from Arizona.

#39 HON Matt “Son of Havoc” Cross - Seawolves – S – 220 TPE – 107 – 1.9 PPD
The top TPE safety in the class. Early posting may have slightly slowed down recently but will be back on form for his new team.

#40 ARI Wesley Eriksen - Seawolves – S – 200 TPE – 105 – 1.8 PPD
Produces some good content. However, this draft rewards lots of content, not good stuff.

#41 SJS Eddie Jeeta - Coyotes – WR – 215 – 103 – 1.8 TPE
Butters influence is high in San Jose as they pick up another Coyote.

#42 AUS – Colt Mendoza - Birddogs – CB – 200 TPE – 102 – 1.8 PPD
Austin get their man, just 41 draft spots later than most people anticipate. The best analyst in the draft, but using images of tables in his posts limits both word count and post count considering the crazy amount of work this guy puts in. Could do better.

#43 AUS Tatsu Nakamura - Pythons – RB - 212 TPE – 101 – 1.7 PPD
While Nakamura claims Austin is his least favourite branding in the league, if Austin only picked up teams that liked the branding, they may have to forfeit games for lack of players.

#44 COL Calvin Golladay - Luchadores – OL – 205 TPE – 100 – 1.7 PPD
Colorado are fully embracing iSteg’s research as they collect another O lineman.

#45 BAL Lawrence Bass - Greyducks – LB – 199 TPE – 97 – 1.7 PPD
Our first sub 100 poster of the draft, Bass has produced media on expansion draft to varying levels of success from very closely predicting protection lists, all the way down to mocking Ryan Leaf Jr. being taken at #5.

#46 OCO James Cho - Birddogs – DE – 217 TPE – 92 – 1.6 PPD
OCO decide enough is enough for DB’s and select a DE instead. A strong earner and promising scout if somehow his football career goes awry.

#47 YKW Michael Witheblock - Coyotes – WR – 214 TPE – 90 – 1.6 PPD
Yellowknife find their Austrian replacement for Rayne Gordon. One of the top WR TPE earners who just sneaks into the top 50 posters.

#48 NOLA Acura Skyline - Royals – RB – 219 TPE – 89 – 1.6 PPD
While it turns out Skyline is not a car, he appears to be on the field as he runs over opposition defences and breaks out for some of the longest runs in the DSFL this season.

#49 HON Johnny Hellzapoppin - Buccaneers – S – 215 TPE – 89 – 1.6 PPD
A great value pick at #49 as newly promoted NSFL streamer will have a steady income and excellent activity. However, there is no post count for streaming.

#50 SAR Patrik Money - Coyotes – DE – 196 TPE – 89 – 1.6 PPD
Interactions with this user have been generally unpleasant but just inside the top 50.

And that wraps up the 50! Some interesting decisions from some of the teams, including the roster of DB’s from OCO, Fair rubs for Colorado and SAR failing to pick up a QB. However, with the draft ongoing, some GM’s may have already failed to realise the true important statistics and may have selected differently. Thanks all you cool cats and kittens who read this and we all await the draft eagerly.

I don't make the rules, I just make the rules

*S22 Mock Draft by PMoney - Symmetrik - 04-14-2020

This is my favourite mock draft because it includes an OL in round 1
