*Interview with WR Eddie Jeeta - Toastydata - 04-18-2020 Welcome to the first instalment of Kicking it with Kevin. My very first guest moves faster than the last packet of toilet roll on the shelf. He was once arrested for breaking the highway speed limit on foot. He was a professional in staring contests, before his sheer ability hospitalised a man. You may know him as the man who ate 49 pizza rolls in one sitting, but not 50 because that would be too much. Please welcome Eddie Jeeta, the best damn wide receiver in this year's draft. Kevin: Hi Eddie, welcome to the show. If it's ok with you, let's get right into it. Firstly, how disappointed are you that we failed at the last hurdle and didnt get the ultimini? I know i was crushed. Eddie: Oh goodness! Tremendously disappointed. Everyone kinda expected MB to be favourites and when we were leading the league and just needed one win in the last weeks of regular season and fell short and lost HFA, it was heartbreaking. But we still made Ultimini which I’m proud of, but just really unfortunate we weren’t able to bring it home after such a great season. Kevin: I felt the same Eddie. Maybe we can get 'em next year. How ready are you to dominate in the NSFL? Eddie: As I was drafted by the Austin Copperheads, who this season currently have Tidwell and Gaines on the roster, I’ll be spending an extra season down in the DSFL just continuing my development and improving all I can so when I get called up, I’ll be in prime position to dominate. And hopefully for many many years. It’s very exciting! Kevin: It's good to hear i'll have you around in Kansas City for another year. How exciting is it to be drafted by a team who so recently won the ultimus? It's gotta be exciting knowing you're going to a team that is considered very good in the NSFL. Eddie:Absolutely! The GMs in Austin are very good at what they do. From developing a fun locker room environment to building a championship winning squad. There’s nothing wrong going to a team that’s considered an underdog such as the expansion teams or a team in rebuild mode, as that can be fun too, but I’m very glad to be at Austin as I have absolute faith in this team to be a serious competitor in the league. Who doesn’t love winning after all? Kevin: Very true. I was drafted by Sarasota, and im excited to work with this new expansion team when im ready to be called up. What does Eddie Jeeta do to relax? Is there such a thing as downtime for you? Or do you subscribe to the Jerry Rice work ethic? I know your fans are interested. Eddie: No, I’m not psychotic haha. No offence to Jerry Rice. I like to take time to relax. I believe there’s such a thing as over-working. Don’t want to put too much stress on my body. So I’ll stick on a movie or go out with the guys or play a game. Anything that helps me unwind. And when it’s time to work, I work hard! Kevin: It's good to hear you're an approachable normal guy. Is it true you once outran a cheetah? I know i'd believe it. Eddie: Hahaha not gonna lie, it’s crossed my mind to do an event like that, but no I’ve not raced a cheetah before. Feel like that wouldn’t be good for my self confidence haha. While I do pride myself on my speed, I’m still human, but I’m always aiming to improve so who knows maybe one day we’ll set something like that up. Kevin: Maybe we could ask that tiger king fellow? Eddie: Hahaha good idea Kevin: What's your goal in the NSFL? Do you want rings? Hall of fame? What drives you is what I'm asking i guess. Eddie: Oh for sure I want all that. Who wouldn’t? First and foremost I want to help my team win a championship, and if I can do that then the stats will follow. I’ve always been a team player but the best thing I can do is improve my own game to increase my ability to make the big plays in the important moments. And if I can do that then the yards and TDs will come with it. But yes, envisioning myself inducted into the HoF is a big motivator for me and I like my chances at Austin. Rod Tidwell has been an idol of mine for some time so learning from him and to eventually be his successor is a huge honour and will be a big help to my journey towards a HoF nomination. Kevin: I think you're gonna go very far in this league. Who do you feel is your biggest rival in the league today? Anyone out there in Eddie Jeeta's bad book? Eddie: My biggest rival as of late has been William Lim. Many had us neck and neck in the WR rankings going into the draft and there’s no denying it, he’s gonna be elite. Another I believe the league will come to claim as an all-time great is my former teammate Michael Witheblock. It’s sad to part ways with him as he’s a truly great guy, but now there’s no two ways about it, he will become a rival of mine in the NSFL for my entire career no doubt. Look out for him! A friendly rivalry of course though as he remains one of my faves in the league. Kevin: Michael is with me in Sarasota, so unfortunately, I'm gonna have to help him beat you. No hard feelings i hope. Thanks for coming on the show tonight Eddie, you've been a wonderful guest and I look forward to having you on again. Eddie: Pleasure! Thanks for having me Kevin. Thank you for reading this first of hopefully many episodes, come back next time for the interview everyone has been waiting for. *Interview with WR Eddie Jeeta - Reno - 04-18-2020 >Interview with Eddie Jeeta YEAH JEETS *Interview with WR Eddie Jeeta - Mooty99 - 04-18-2020 Everyone's favourite Turtle, love that guy! |
