Honestly, I'm surprised I lasted as long as I did. I was already tired of the league well before I was traded from Chicago to Austin and then to New Orleans. I was drafted by Chicago during the expansion season and was called up right away, which I was fine with. That first season actually went really well. Unbeknownst to me, however, in my second season on Chicago they decided to play me at safety without either asking or telling me about the change (for those unaware I created as a linebacker before making the position change to defensive tackle when I was traded to New Orleans). That kinda killed it for me. I had a very specific goal in mind for Blake Faux the linebacker, and being played out of position ruined any chances of that. I did manage to do the minimum for activity such as training and activity checks, but only updated once a month if that.

I was always planning on retiring at the end of the extension I ultimately signed with New Orleans. I considered retiring a season earlier, but I didn't want to do that to you all in New Orleans. Even though I didn't really enjoy my time overall as a defensive player, I didn't want to punish Juosu and TH for extending me. Looking back on it, waiting out the contract turned out to be the perfect decision.

It's actually pretty funny, because I kind of ignored my recreate this past season. I'll always be in the camp of who cares about the minors league, but us going on that 9 game win streak to start the season and then on that playoff run, I'm not gonna lie I forgot I had a recreate for like a 2 week period because I was too worried about New Orleans. Waiting out the contract gave me that trophy under my name that will always be there, so overall it was pretty big.

In my mind I think I did fully expect to be drafted back. I didn't exactly look like the best prospect with not updating the entire season, and I did tell the expansion teams that I'd rather not join them after what I went through with my first player. Though having said that, I didn't tell teams I wouldn't play for them. I honestly didn't have a preference outside of just not the expansion teams, but even if they had drafted me I wouldn't have held out or anything.

I'm definitely a guy who isn't a fan of change, so I would much rather stick around a place I already know and am familiar with versus having to go elsewhere and learn how someone else runs things. So I was definitely hoping I'd be drafted back to New Orleans.

I'm more of a once a season updater in the NSFL. The update scale is pretty wide, so in-season updates have less of an overall impact. Now that I've been drafted back to New Orleans I might start updating weekly though, we'll see. Though I am a wide receiver in the DSFL, so what's really the point when I'll be seeing 20 targets a season anyways.

This go around I actually cared very little about the draft. On my first create I definitely tried as hard as I could to be drafted as high as possible, and ended up being taken 2nd (though it might as well have been 1st since the team that drafted me also had the 1st pick in the draft) overall. Sort of a been there done that situation I guess. At least for me, I feel like I've already done that whole thing so why bother doing it again.

I guess it also helps that I didn't update during the entire season, but that's definitely taken into account. I didn't try to be super active in the Royals LR or in the general discord, so I doubt very many people even knew I was a part of this draft outside of the New Orleans LR.

The experience was alright I guess. I got a few messages from teams, so at least some of them had me somewhere on their draft board I assume. Ending up back in New Orleans was a pretty sweet reward though.

Absolutely, I've been in the New Orleans LR for 4 seasons now I think. I was traded from Chicago to Austin to New Orleans in the span of 6 days or something, and I ended up playing out the rest of my career there, so I'm pretty well acquainted with everyone. I definitely like how things are run, and like the people in there as well. Isa and TH (and Juosu prior to this season) are great GMs, so I have all the faith in the world that this past season wasn't a one time thing.

Honestly I don't really have any of either. Being in the DSFL is kind of bleh to me, since ultimately the stats don't matter. And even more so as a wide receiver, since the entire minors league in very run heavy. It's hard to get excited as a wide receiver.

It's hard to say. I've never really cared too much about the DSFL as bad as that sounds since I am currently a part of the DSFL on the Royals, but it's how I've always felt. Would I be excited to win a DSFL championship? sure. Would I be sad if we win 0 games? not at all. I really don't have any expectations for this season, so no matter what I can't be let down.

I get that you arent really that interested in the DSFL and thats fine, but I think you could help out your team a lot by posting an update before the new season, since you have been earning well and while it might not make a huge difference to you, it is a big difference for the team.

Presser is already graded even though I didn't post that it was ready, but I'll answer you anyways.

The NSFL is largely a separate entity from the DSFL. Nothing I do in the minors league has any effect on how I will perform in the NSFL.

It's hard for me to care about a league that ultimately doesn't matter. Teams in the NSFL don't care if you care. They care if you earn so their team can be better. The point of the DSFL is to promote activity. I don't need any help in that regard, so I tend to ignore it as a whole.

And to answer your last question, no I don't really care about my image in the league since I don't tend to interact with the league in general. It is how it is.
