Remove/up the limit on graphics submissions - Symmetrik - 07-14-2017
Right now you can submit a max of 4 graphics per week. With the fixed pay, that caps out at about 2.6 million in a week.
Comparatively, you can net 3 million with 3 quick 600 word articles. Oh, and you can write as many articles as you want.
4 short articles can get you max training and a piece of pro equipment each week.
4 graphics can net you max training and a piece of budget equipment with a bit to spare.
At the very least I think the cap for submission should allow you to submit as many as would earn you 4 mil in a week.
I don't think the pay needs to be changed, but maybe tweak it to make a clean number.
My suggestion is maybe 500,000 per sig, and you can submit up to 8 per week.
It means if you're someone who's more graphically inclined, you're not at a significant disadvantage just because you prefer to make sigs.
Even podcasts can net you more in a week than graphics.

Grafx is already overpaid tbh. And this is a guy who does grafx over media.

My only gripe, if any, is the effort gap. You can fake your way through 4 cut and paste graphics in minutes and get the paid the same as those who spend 30min+ on each one.
At least with articles 500 words is 500 words

How is 650,000 for 30 minutes of work in picture overpaid, but 1,000,000 for 15 minutes of work in words not?

I mean it's easy to phone it in and do very little work on any of the media submissions. I can write 600 words of crap in 10 minutes easy. Even stats analyses which can pay up to $2m can be easily easily done in 10 minutes with the grader none the wiser (this is assuming your analysis has very little data collection involved, which can be the longest part).
No matter what, it's pretty easy to cheat the system if that's what you want to do. The way I see it, if you want more money do several different kinds of media.

Some people can whip up a great looking grafx in 15 minutes but writing 600 words takes them 30 minutes to an hour.

So that sounds like it's fair pay scale, since you get almost double the pay for 600 words.
Except you can submit as many of those 600 words as you want

It goes both ways. You can botch graphics as easily as you can botch media.
The truth is, no system is going to be perfect. I'm fine with the one we have now because it means I don't have to deal with 4/5 sigs "just because" and I get max pay every time. I do wish I was allowed to submit more than 4 sigs per week and I tend to agree the amount of money we make per sig should be increased because everything on the forum increased this season.

Figured I'd throw my 2 cents in on this.
I'm super terrible at graphics so I'll never submit them.
However I don't really like a submission cap on anything. If someone is feeling creative and wants to submit more graphics, they should be able to. Having a cap can stifle creativity.I feel like regardless of graphic or article, people can do low effort posts regardless of the medium
