Response to Portland Management Change - speculadora - 04-22-2020 Before I get into this, let me briefly explain why I am the one posting this. After the punishments handed out to Myrtle Beach for their war room conduct, several users, myself included, were brought onto a DSFL Advisory Board in an effort to work toward the overall betterment of the league and the attitude of its users and GMs. We hope to stay long enough to grow and foster a more positive environment for the league and its users, and not to just help put out fires. Last night both this DSFL Advisory Board and Head Office agreed that it would be in the best interest of the league if AirCrou were to resign as Portland's co-GM. It is not a move that either party took lightly, but one that all of us felt was necessary. With that in mind, hopefully this statement will clear up any potential misconceptions about our reasoning and motives. We did not ask AirCrou to resign from his position because of his performance as the Pythons' co-GM. It is evident from his former players' responses to his resignation that they enjoyed playing for the team with him as part of it, and we are not interested in creating any more upheaval in those roles than is absolutely necessary. This was also not a decision directed solely Head Office or any individual in it, but rather a collective decision by the DSFL Advisory team and Head Office together. The reason we asked him to resign is that, in the short time the advisory members have been working with HO in DSFL GM chat, we have seen repeated antagonistic, aggressive, and concerning behavior toward ourselves, Head Office, and other DSFL General Managers. The tipping point came early Monday morning, when he and another GM got in an argument. We felt that things were instigated and escalated primarily by AirCrou, and eventually reached a point where his treatment of another user in this league was unacceptable. Regarding this incident, I want to make two things clear. First, the other GM involved has some culpability escalating in this situation and has been warned to attempt to de-escalate or disengage and allow us to handle any similar situations in the future. Second, this was not an isolated incident, but rather, as I said, the tipping point for us. Furthermore, since his resignation, AirCrou has repeatedly attempted to draw another GM into an argument and made claims that this person is being given preferential treatment. I want to note that is exactly the sort of behavior that brought us to this point in the first place, and I would like to urge you, AC, to just let it go. I understand you are frustrated, but holding grudges over a sim league is worth neither the time nor the energy invested into it. Lastly, as a note to other DSFL GMs. We are continuing to take note of your behavior both publicly and in GM Chat, and while we hope we don't reach this point with anyone else, do recognize that you are under a microscope. I get that as users you might not like some of the other people you share the DSFL with, but consider this a workplace and know that we expect you to conduct yourselves, to a certain degree, as if it is one. That being said, we don't want to be all doom and gloom. We have observed many instances of the DSFL GMs working towards a better and more supportive DSFL. We want to commend those GMs as this is exactly the sort of behavior that we are striving for and hope will set an example for others. Response to Portland Management Change - Air Crou - 04-22-2020 "I don't think anyone would be opposed if you still want to quit tbh" This is the exact comment preferential treatment came from. But I guess that person is more valuable to the league than me. And that guy is a DSFL GM, responsible to recruit and retain players. I guess you need a reality check in HO. And start with yourselves. Cuz you seem to not be able to get it right. Response to Portland Management Change - Warner - 04-22-2020 how big is the microscope or is it small idk man I’m bugging out I need to know the size of this microscope tell me please ![]() Response to Portland Management Change - rapideagle - 04-22-2020 (04-22-2020, 09:31 AM)tractorcito_grande Wrote:how big is the microscope or is it small idk man I’m bugging out I need to know the size of this microscope tell me pleaseat least 3 Response to Portland Management Change - Opera_Phantom - 04-22-2020 Thanks HO and Advisory Board for explaining stuff. It's always a complicated situation when you have to remove GMs from teams, but if that's what it takes for the DSFL to become "normal", so be it. It's unfortunate but you're going to need some thicker skin. As will the person(s) involved in whatever happened in DSFL GM chat yesterday. I don't have any objective information here so I'm not taking a side. Yeah @`AirCrou` it’s obviously your fault for letting other users’ harassment and snarky comments affect you just get thicker skin next time that will solve the problem why didn’t you think of this before Response to Portland Management Change - caltroit_red_flames - 04-22-2020 (04-22-2020, 10:11 AM)retrospace111 Wrote:Yeah @`AirCrou` it’s obviously your fault for letting other users’ harassment and snarky comments affect you just get thicker skin next time that will solve the problem why didn’t you think of this before You're proving my point dude. I don't know you, but after 3 years in sim leagues I've learned that when people say toxic shit like this either move on or if you're bored and have the time you can troll em a little for be a jerk. Response to Portland Management Change - Oles - 04-22-2020 HO needs to remove all dsfl gms and start anew, sounds like there are issues across the board |
