*HO/GM/Jobbers Appreciation - ForSucksFake - 04-25-2020
This league has been a godsend for me, and I'm sure for plenty of S22 & S23 players. The outside world is in disarray and people are trying to fill a social and activity-centric void in their lives.
I think people that play a part in making this whole operation roll need to know how much they're appreciated. I'm a new player, but I've quickly learned just how essential GMs, the Head Office, and players with jobs really are.
What these people are basically doing is working a full-time job with zero compensation. I know that they obviously love what they do and what they are contributing to overall. But the fact that they're donating hours of their lives so that we can live out our dreams of being professional athletes is astonishing when you really step back to think about it.
Without the time and effort so seflessly given by these people, the NSFL would not be here; or it would be a shell of its current state. So, thank you to everyone who takes on this kind of tremendous responsibility. The outside world may never understand it, but that's not the point. YOU make this league a fun and much-needed escape, and I want you to know how much I appreciate you. I've only been here for a month but I am utterly blown away by the commitment on display by you. Even you, @Voltaqe. Even though I'm pretty sure you're skimming my updates by about 1-2 TPE. Just kidding. But everyone knows how desperate I am for that +1 speed.
I hope this doesn't get misinterpreted as ass-kissing or something of that nature, because I am truly grateful for everyone involved in making the NSFL what it is. Yes, that includes the Norfolk GMs.
May this league live on for the people that need it like I have.

Lmao! Thank you so much for this! I can’t speak for all the people with jobs but this is the reason I do it. I just want to make the league a better place and a ton of fun just like the people before me had done!

Maybe one day I’m able to do it. But because I’m not right now, it makes me appreciate the ones that do even more.

If someone thinks this is asskissing I will fucking smack them. There is a ton of stuff going on behind the scenes that keeps this league going and everyone who does that work deserves every ounce of praise.

As somebody who just recently started GMing (and also doing a lot of media on the side) I can say that yes, this is a lot of work. The amount of hours I've stared at Excel sheets and Python code is staggering. But you're right when you say we love what we do, because it's true. Appreciate the shoutout friend!

This is an awesome post and a very well deserved shout out to the GMs and HO. So much goes on behind the scenes that the average person has no idea about until they have been in their position. And although they make mistakes just like anyone else, I think you're right that they are only motivated by their sincere desires to make the league a better place.
Thanks for not letting us take them for granted.
