The NSFL Top 50: 50-41
The NSFL Top 50: 40-31
The NSFL Top 50: 30-21

This is the NSFL Top 50 for S22 as voted by the players. The votes have been tallied and assigned points in the following manner, if someone was voted as the 1st player they received 30 points, 2nd 29 points, 3rd 28 points, so on and so forth until 30th 1point. Without further adieu, here are players 20 to 11:
  • 20. Jay Cue - QB - ARI - @Opera_Phantom
    S21 Stats: 277comp/503att, 3522 yards, 21 TDs, 10 INTs; 57 carries, 26 yards
Cue had a solid S21 for the Outlaws but wasn’t able to turn that into many wins. He finished third in passing yards. Cue also set a new NSFL record, he is the first player in NSFL history to ever have at least 30 carries and average less than 1 yard per carry. To further illustrate how ineffective he was as a runner, he had 17 of those 26 yards on a single carry, meaning his other 56 carries went for a combined 9 yards (0.16 yards per carry).

  • 19. Ryan Leaf Jr - RB - CHI - @ValorX77
    S21 Stats: 209 carries, 928 yards, 4 TDs; 59 receptions, 756 yards, 3 TDs; 55 returns, 1098 yards, 3 TDs
Leaf Jr, led the Butchers in rushing yards and receiving yards in S21. He also led the NSFL in yards from scrimmage and all-purpose yards in S21. He scored a total of 10 TDs, 3 of which were kick return touchdowns. Leaf Jr is the second player in NSFL history to score 3 kick return TDs, the last was WR Bailey Cook way back in S6 for the Wraiths. Leaf Jr clinched a S21 Pro Bowl birth as a returner.

  • 18. Stan Francisco - QB - NOLA - @JuOSu
    S21 Stats: 239comp/403att, 3233 yards, 23 TDs, 5 INTs; 12 carries, 36 yards
Francisco led the S21 Second Line all the way to an Ultimus Championship victory. Francisco was very efficient, finishing third with a 98.8 QB Rating. Francisco was also voted the starting QB for the ASFC in the S21 Pro Bowl.

  • 17. Rose Jenkins - QB - CHI - @Jiggly_333
    S21 Stats: 267comp/464att, 3242 yards, 24 TDs, 8 INTs; 11 carries, 32 yards
Jenkins and Stan Francisco (#18) had very similar stat lines through S21. Jenkins threw one more TD than Francisco, but also 3 more INTs. The two QBs both entered the league in S14 and continue to have parallels in their on field performance.

  • 16. AJ Lattimer - CB - OCO - @TeyonSchavari
    S21 Stats: 53 tackles, 16 PDs, 2 INTs; 29 returns, 914 yards, 1 TD
Lattimer was selected to the S21 Pro Bowl on the back of his strong performance in the Otters secondary. Lattimer also had a great season as a kick returner, leading all returners in kick return average with 31.5 yards per kick return.

  • 15. Walt Green - S - BAL - @Duilio05
    S21 Stats: 83 tackles, 3 FF, 3 Sacks, 5 PDs, 4 INTs; 50 returns, 1257 yards, 2 TDs
Green tied for the league lead in interceptions and fumbles forced, and is a true ball hawk. Green was the Hawks’ biggest impact player on the defensive side of the ball and on special teams as a returner. Green’s S21 performance earned him the title of Defensive Back of the Year and made it to the Pro Bowl as both a defensive back and a returner.

  • 14. Bubba Thumper - DT - COL - @`woelker11`
    S21 Stats: 43 tackles, 1 TFL, 10 Sacks, 1 blocked punt
Thumper finished tied for 5th in sacks with 10. He had a season very similar to that of Giannis Kroustis (#44). Kroustis had more tackles and TFLs, but Thumper was one of only 3 players to block a punt this season. Thumper is a two-time Defensive Lineman of the Year, but lost out to Kyle Idlewyld (#42) this past season. Thumper did make the S21 Pro Bowl for the NSFC.

  • 13. Dermot Lavelle Jr. - CB - AUS - @White Cornerback
    S21 Stats: 51 tackles, 10 PDs; 75 returns, 1290 return yards
Lavelle Jr finished tied for 23rd in passes defended and also recorded 51 tackles. He led the league in total return yards, but was unable to find the endzone. On the surface, this selection by the voters appears to be much more about reputation than anything else, perhaps that reputation of his father more so than even his own.

  • 12. Errol Maddox - WR - BAL - @PigSnout
    S21 Stats: 55 receptions, 1113 yards, 14 TDs
Maddox tied for the league lead in receiving TDs with 14. He also finished third amongst wide receivers in yards and was the only pass catcher who caught at least 40 passes and average over 20 yards per catch. Maddox’s performance earned him the title of Wide Receiver of the Year for S21, his second time winning the award, and also a spot on this season’s Pro Bowl roster.

  • 11. Hugh Mongo - WR - OCO - @speculadora
    S21 Stats: 53 receptions, 712 yards, 9 TDs
Mongo had an above average season as a wideout for the Otters. His only stand-out area are his touchdowns which were good for 5th in the league. But even comparing him with Errol Maddox, who was ranked 12th on the list, Mongo is behind him in every statistical measure. Mongo is widely known league wide for his contributions off the field though, which voters likely took into consideration placing him above the likes of Maddox.
There you have it, the third iteration of our NSFL Top 50. Congratulations to the players that were named to the NSFL Top 50 by their peers. Stay tuned for players 10-1 that will be released on April 29.

*The NSFL Top 50 (Preseason S22) - White Cornerback - 04-27-2020

thank u to all my loyal voters but im certain by now that after 6 seasons and 7 interceptions to show for it, Dermot Jr is only similar to his father by name and not nature or bloodline. I am certain he was the milkman's son and not Sr's at all.

thank u again to my loyal voters
