21:20 - Start of discussion about DSFL Rules Summit
27:15 - Start of community questions
27:45 - @Billybolo53
32:31 - @Sylphreni

Amazing podcast. Really looking forward to your work going forward. Thanks for answering my question and I look forward to the fleshed out study.

Love that the fair rub movement will make higher TPE DL more valuable in the future.

Really liked this podcast. Was great to hear your thoughts on the rule summit especially. Appreciate the shoutout to my article!

Excellent podcast man, especially for a first go at it. I found your insight into the rule changes very interesting and you changed my views on a few of them - particularly the ones that were a bit vague and had potential to be abused.

It was great to hear that there's other people recognising that league jobs are hard to come by and there are plenty of people looking to fill them, it can be a bit frustrating to apply and not hear anything back only to find out someone who has one (or several) job(s) already has been hired to fill the role. It would definitely be good to see more jobs open up if they're "too difficult" for the amount of people that are currently in that department to complete in a timely manner.

It was also cool to hear what you had to say about the Tight End position, it might not have been as in-depth as you'd have liked but I look forward to hearing more about it when you get the chance to look into it more, and it still helped me understand the role a little better in the scheme of the sim.

Thanks for taking the time to answer the questions! I didn't have time to listen to everyone's but I'll definitely go back to a few that were interesting to me.

Great stuff, Stegz.

Dude you've only been here a short time but you have absolutely taken the league by storm. Keep up the great work but don't forget to have fun Wink

And thanks for taking time to answer so many questions

I am not sure how coherent I can comment on this as I forgot to comment when my thoughts were fresh, but I do want to say first off that I liked the podcast iStegosauruz. Although admittedly I believe I have liked all of the media that you have put out. Oh, and I really appreciate the time stamps as that makes it much easier to listen to multiple times.

It was nice to hear your thoughts on the rules summits and especially the insight you provide there.

Also want to say I really love how you answered so many times of the plans that you have and the work you want to give back to the community. That is just a fantastic attitude and I really dig it! I hope that you continue to find enjoyment in that process.

The only other thing I remember I wanted to comment on was that you need not be so humble. A key part of smarts is effort and you have put that in here beyond shadow of doubt. You are doing a great job and I wish you good luck in your continued endeavors here.

I really appreciate all the feedback I've gotten on this thus far. I had a good time doing it and getting honest input on the results makes it more enticing to do more of these in the future. I'm gonna try to do another one this coming weekend as a result.

Gonna try to hit on some of the points where further conversations can be had too -

It was fun to do man. In general its only theoretical that as OL get more average TPE that DL would need more TPE to compensate. I'm not sure how much that applies in actuality but its something that it definitely feels like we'll see the results of in the future. It feels like we're on a collision course with every team having human tackles.

Appreciate the feedback man! I definitely think we're at the point as a league where expanding league jobs is something that is not only inevitable but we should also be exploring doing. It feels like we've reached point where a lot of the people from the S22 are established enough to trust them with jobs - and we've already seen several get key roles in the community. Expanding job opportunities allows the league to also explore reducing income from other areas, essentially exploring another way to fix the economy.

Thanks Tesla! I've really enjoyed the media you've been putting out as well. Its really great seeing how big a role our class is already taking in the league.

Great pod! Few notes that I will type along the way:

- MDM tends to go to simmer or HO, so as the person who proposed it I went with 5 to force there to not be just a cycle of people who always get it. But also I definitely get wanting people to be honored multiple times! So maybe something like 3 or 4 would work.
- Failure-to-post-contracts fines are from the cap not the user. So a lot of teams were frustrated last season for getting 3M+ fines off their cap for not posting on time.
- The last rule you had with incentives - that's how it works already! It just wasn't written down Smile
- Glad you liked my Pro Bowl rule!
- I think the big difference between the > 200 and < 200 TPE tampering rule is that someone with less than 200 will be much more likely to recreate, while someone over 200 TPE will be much more likely to just return to their player. There's definitely some "I got mine screw you" to it, but I don't think that's the main reason people voted it down in the NSFL.
- I'm pretty sure DB and WR get boned by the EXP slider, but I don't remember exactly what it was.
- There are definitely hidden stats! Kulture Fulture has no right to be so good >Sad

Really enjoyed the pod, hope you continue to make them. Quick point on the comparison you made between Dallas and Myrtle Beach - know you didn’t mean it in a negative way and hope you don’t take my response negatively either.

You said Myrtle Beach has 7 more capped send downs, and 6 are S21. Obviously as an expansion team Dallas didn’t have an S21 draft class so has no S21 send downs. So the discrepancy is only one once you take that into account, and following the S23 NSFL Draft the teams will be in essentially the same position in that they’ll both have two draft classes of potentially capped send downs to draw from.

It’d be nice if the number of send downs was largely equal across the DSFL, because as you said the teams with more send downs generally win more games. But the alternative would mean forcing players who aren’t going to play in the NSFL (such as our two capped quarterbacks who aren’t high enough TPE to start for any NSFL team) to be called up so that they can ride the bench. It makes the DSFL less competitive, but it keeps players interested better as they get to see their players continue to play in the DSFL until they’re ready for the NSFL rather than being made to ride an NSFL bench.

Know you didn’t suggest that as a solution, but some teams having more send downs than others seems like the least-bad option when you think about the alternatives.
