HO Liaison in punishment and announcement threads - Billybolo53 - 05-06-2020
When there is a punishment or announcement that effects a lot of people or that has a lot of people with concerns, there needs to be an appointed person from HO to answer question and provide clarification. Much like Dwyer has taken upon himself in the DSFL resim thread. That sort of communication should come directly from HO or a rep of HO.
I feel this would keep threads from going off the rails and allow HO to provide transparency into their decisions.

We generally all take on some sort of responsibility with going into these types of threads to put away misinformation (I did a bit of it in Chicago's thread a while ago IIRC), and overall this is a good idea. However it's a bit hard for us to keep our eyes super peeled on the thread when things quickly happen as we do have other IRL and sim league things to do
That being said, we'll work to be better at it!

Thanks for the response. I know it’s wouldn’t be perfect but at least we would know who to direct our questions to and know what the official response from HO is. Like what Bex did in the recent thread. It’s unclear sometimes who we should point our questions to and inconsistent on weather they get addressed.

In my experience having a member of HO in a punishment thread, or any HO announcement thread really that people find controversial, causes members to pile on the member of HO and if they don't have thick enough skin it causes them to leave HO. Either needs to be a couple members of HO or none, otherwise we're going to turn HO into a member mill that destroys the passion our most committed members have for the league.

Counterpoint: everyone addresses questions to the HO who posted the decision, and no one be a dick to HO because they are doing their best.
