Danny Grithead - Trautner - 05-13-2020
Today, midway through his 13th season in the NSFL and directly after recording his 1236th tackle to become #1 all-time in career tackles, Danny Grithead has announced that this season will be his last. As the oldest player in the NSFL and the last Season 10 player, Grithead today is very much a shell of the player he once was. However, looking back at his career, Danny Grithead will have many fond memories of Ultimus victories with the Orange County Otters, and unprecedented individual success with the Yellowknife Wraiths.

It’s hard to believe the day has finally come. I created in NSFL nearly two years ago on a whim when I was getting a little bored of just playing in PBE. With 2365 TPE earned later, including a peak TPE of 1400, I am finally retiring Grithead after fighting regression to the absolute max.
I retire with the following accolades:
2x NSFL Ultimus Champion (S12, S13)
10x NSFL Pro Bowl (S11, S12, S13, S14, S15, S16, S17, S18, S19, S20)
1x NSFL Most Valuable Player (S16)
1x NSFL Defensive Player of the Year (S17)
2x NSFL Defensive Back of the Year (S14, S16)
1st in Career Tackles (1236)
10th in Career Sacks (80)
T-3rd in Career Forced Fumbles (16)
T-4th in Career Defensive TDs (7)
To @speculadora, RedCydranth, and @MrStennett – Thank you for being the amazing GMs of the Otters during my time there. Sorry I never came back per the plan (lol). The Fanta Curtain lives on.
To @timeconsumer – You have always been around to help me on my builds from when we were both on the Otters and now on the Wraiths, and for that I thank you.
To @Daybe and @Bigred1580 – Thank you for bringing me to the Yellowknife Wraiths. That FA pitch was amazing (shout out to @iamslm22 for that off-season). The plan in my mind had been to spend one season with Yellowknife and return to Orange County. Instead, I found a fantastic home. I’m happy to have found such great individual success in Yellowknife and to have joined a great LR.
To @shadyshoelace and @flyeaglesfly29 – You are fantastic GMs and great people. Losing four straight Ultimus appearances has been tough, but getting there is a testament to your abilities. The victory will only be sweeter when you reach there. Wish you all the best luck in the future, including the rest of this season.
As a final note, I will leave a link to my WIKI. I've kept it updated constantly and am happy how it captured my entire career. Much love to all of my former and current teammates. Until next time.
