*Sapp’s Season 23 NSFL Mock Draft Version 1.0 - sapp2013 - 05-20-2020 [div align=\\\"center\\\"]Hello, and Welcome to Sapp’s Season 23 NSFL Mock Draft Version 1.0! The only full 8 round Mock Draft so far. Everything in here is based off of the update done on 5/16, DSFL stats up to week 10, and draft order based on the NSFL standings as of Week 12. I hope you enjoy it. If you notice anything off (stats, draft order, etc.) let me know. I probably wont change anything, but it is good to know so I can watch for it for version 2.0 :eyes: also, shoutout to Daybe and Valor for helping with some of the writing.[/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] Part 1: Rounds 1 and 2 Part 3: Rounds 5 and 6 Part 4: Rounds 7 and 8[/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #49 Overall: Mac Griddle - S - ![]() mcgriddleluver | S - All-Around | Pythons | Recreate #2 | League Job: None 112 TPE | TPE/Day: 1.15 | Total Topics: 8 | Posts/Day: 0.19 | Active PDs: 12 | Int: 2 | Tackles: 35 | Forced Fumbles: 0 | DTDs: 1 - - - - With 15 safeties in this draft, its most likely that a few teams will double up on them. This is their first safety selection, but they will make one more later in the draft. Mac has shown spurts that make people think, “Hey I want this guy on my team next year”. That is from his two interceptions and defensive touchdown. And then there are other times that people think “That is why he is in the DSFL” when he has 4 missed tackles. When he is good, people love him, he just has to get to a level where that is 100% of his on field play. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #50 Overall: Brock Bodenhamer - WR - ![]() toivo | WR - Speed | Buccaneers | Recreate #2 | League Job: None 126 TPE | TPE/Day: 2.17 | Total Topics: 10 | Posts/Day: 0.62 | Active Catches: 2 | Rec Yards: 19 | Rec Avg: 9.5 | Rec TDs: 1 | Dropped Passes: 0 - - - - Brock has had a hard time standing out in the loaded Myrtle beach wide receiver lineup, but scouts like what they are seeing from his workouts and interviews. He has the size and speed to be an elite receiver, but needs to work on his technique and mastering the route tree. He may need to spend a couple extra years with the Buccaneers before he can contribute, but all the things you cannot teach are there. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #51 Overall: Brian Earlbacher - LB - ![]() earlbacher | LB - Balanced | GreyDucks | First Player | League Job: None 117 TPE | TPE/Day: 2.39 | Total Topics: 3 | Posts/Day: 0.35 | Semi-Active Tackles: 39 | TFL: 0 | Sacks: 2 | Forced Fumbles: 0 | Int: 0 - - - - With this selection, the Hahalua find themselves a potential late round steal, as Earlbacher appears to be a moderate earner, however, he is inactive, so it could be hard to get his earning back on track once he returns, because the team needs him. Currently at 117 TPE, he should be a pretty solid player that will definitely need some more time down in the developmental simulation football league to continue his growth on TPE. The Hahalua need a boost to an aging linebacking core, and drafting earlbacher will be a decision that will not be regretted by the Honolulu Hahalua. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #52 Overall: 3’ Jeffrey - RB - ![]() JSS | RB - Speed | Buccaneers | Recreate #2 | League Job: None 124 TPE | TPE/Day: 4.63 | Total Topics: 25 | Posts/Day: 0.42 | Semi-Active Rush Yards: 906 | Rush Avg: 5 | Rush TDs: 3 | Rec Yards: 9 | Fumbles: 0 - - - - The Outlaws double up on running backs this draft by first taking Ayers in the second round and now taking Jeffries here in the fifth round. As one of the fastest players in the DSFL this season, He has been running circles around defenders, but may have trouble in the NSFL where there are much faster players and he is a one trick pony. He hasn’t even been a force in the passing game at all, so he will need to open up what he does if he wants to see relevant minutes at the next level. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #53 Overall: Mordecai Morrisey - DE - ![]() MCP_ | DE - Balanced | Coyotes | First Player | League Job: None 93 TPE | TPE/Day: 1.65 | Total Topics: 2 | Posts/Day: 0.25 | Inactive Tackles: 28 | TFL: 11 | Sacks: 2 | Forced Fumbles: 1 | Missed Tackles: 3 - - - - Mordecai is a low earner in this draft class, and because he is a defensive end, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a late round steal, as he could possibly be a moderate earner if you manage to keep him active not only on the forums, but also on the team’s discord. He’s currently at 93 TPE, and should be over the 100 TPE Mark by the time the draft takes place. He’s probably gonna surprise a lot of people, and Sarasota is a good place for him to prove himself to be a steal, and stun all who will likely pass on him. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #54 Overall: Bradley Owens - LB - ![]() Keyg_an | LB - Balanced | Birddogs | Recreate #4 | League Job: None 126 TPE | TPE/Day: 1.62 | Total Topics: 26 | Posts/Day: 0.44 | Active Tackles: 81 | TFL: 0 | Sacks: 3 | Forced Fumbles: 3 | Int: 0 - - - - Bradley has had a consistent season so far for the Dallas Bird Dogs, recording 8 tackles a game, 3 forced fumbles, and 3 sacks in ten games. Another defensive force coming from Louisiana State University, Bradley has shown that the hype was 100% correct. Staying in the state, The New Orleans Second Line would love to bring the saskatoon import into their defensive line up to terrorize quarterbacks and running backs. One thing scouts are afraid of his tackling technique. It can be reworked, but he has racked up a few missed tackles that have lead to game changing plays that the second line is unwilling to give up in the tough ASFC. IF he can get that worked out, he would be an excellent grab for any team if he is still around here in the fifth round. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #55 Overall: Joe Exotic - DT - ![]() Gamaliel | DT - Run Stuffer | GreyDucks | First Player | League Job: None 121 TPE | TPE/Day: 1.58 | Total Topics: 4 | Posts/Day: 0.86 | Active Tackles: 31 | TFL: 1 | Sacks: 1 | Forced Fumbles: 0 | Missed Tackles: 2 - - - - Joe Exotic has shown some promise throughout the season, building on his natural talent to wrestle tigers. I am not entirely sure why he is trying out for the league when he should have millions of dollars from his farm and documentary made about him (I am sorry, I didn’t watch it. Don’t go sacking all your tigers on me at once). Joe has been a prototypical Defensive stuffer, eating up blocks and making it hard for teams to run against the Grey Ducks. Teams will ask him to continue this. It is not quite the fame the Joe Exotic is used to, but it is honest work and gets the job done. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #56 Overall: Running Back - RB - ![]() Nykonax | RB - All-Purpose | Luchadores | Recreate #2 | League Job: None 134 TPE | TPE/Day: 4.2 | Total Topics: 9 | Posts/Day: 0.11 | Active Rush Yards: 819 | Rush Avg: 4.7 | Rush TDs: 8 | Rec Yards: 23 | Fumbles: 2 - - - - Running Back is the second half of the Tijuana running back committee. He’s shown lots of promise early on, already getting a good hang of the league and whatnot. It’s hard to catch up to this guy when he hits full speed - blink and he’s gone. He’s adapted to the Luchador locker room fairly well, and his teammates have given him the name “Chicken” because of how he scurries away from defenders. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #57 Overall: Mr. Large Sternum - DE - ![]() ml002 | DE - Balanced | Royals | Recreate #1 | League Job: None 88 TPE | TPE/Day: 1.41 | Total Topics: 8 | Posts/Day: 0.28 | Inactive Tackles: 28 | TFL: 14 | Sacks: 0 | Forced Fumbles: 1 | Missed Tackles: 4 - - - - Mr Large Sternum has been a force in the back field, wrapping up running backs as soon as they get the hand off. 14 tackles for a loss is top five for all DSFL defenders through ten games this season. The Copper heads are looking for an enforcer on the defensive line, and Mr Large can bring that for them. With nine other defensive ends in the draft, it was hard for him to stand out, and it seems that he has flat lined a bit as the season has gone on. Hopefully the playoffs can revive his intensity and we can see some phenomenal disruptions happen in the playoffs. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #58 Overall: Griff Oberwald - WR - ![]() Aenir | WR - Red Zone Threat | SeaWolves | Recreate #2 | League Job: None 150 TPE | TPE/Day: 2.56 | Total Topics: 28 | Posts/Day: 1.13 | Active Catches: 16 | Rec Yards: 161 | Rec Avg: 10.1 | Rec TDs: 2 | Dropped Passes: 8 - - - - Wide receiver out of Streissen Averland, Griff has struggled so far this season getting up to speed with the DSFL players. A player his size should not be playing receiver, but if he can catch, teams will use him. At 6’6” and 250 lbs, he is the largest receiver in the draft and matches some of the largest in the NSFL. Teams see him maybe more as a tight end than a receiver, but that will just be something that we will see in time. San Jose needs a big body, and Griff can be that for them. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #59 Overall: Kayleb Dotson - S - ![]() K Dot | S - Center Fielder | Pythons | First Player | League Job: None 98 TPE | TPE/Day: 2.53 | Total Topics: 4 | Posts/Day: 0.92 | Semi-Active PDs: 1 | Int: 1 | Tackles: 37 | Forced Fumbles: 0 | DTDs: 0 - - - - Another safety here as the otters look for another option for their secondary. Kaleb has been a consistent force for the Pythons as their team has struggled making a push for the playoffs. Kaleb is an enforcer and makes it a point to bring down the quarterback as much as possible, with four sacks so far this season. One thing that has dropped him this far in the draft is his inability to wrap up ball carriers. Even with all of his sacks, there’s just as many times that he has missed wrapping up the Quarterback and he gets away with a pass that could have been a loss of yards. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #60 Overall: Quanter Skrills - RB - ![]() Saliva^ | RB - Speed | SeaWolves | Recreate #2 | League Job: None 129 TPE | TPE/Day: 2.14 | Total Topics: 10 | Posts/Day: 0.67 | Active Rush Yards: 682 | Rush Avg: 5.5 | Rush TDs: 3 | Rec Yards: 25 | Fumbles: 2 - - - - Quanter has been one of the most efficient backs in the DSFL this season, average 5.5 yards per carry on a solid 125 attempts. Despite his efficiency, he has been unable to eat into the carries of Sunrise, the lead back in the Norfolk backfield. Team would have hoped for more production from Quanter, but they should see more as the season comes to a close. One thing scouts are worried about is his ball handling skills, which comparing him to sunrise, has been phenomenal, but 2 fumbles in as little of carries as he has had, it’s not something scouts are too happy about and may hit Quanters draft stock if he continues in this less than ideal path. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #61 Overall: Karmichael Hunt - K/P - ![]() simo_393 | K/P - Accurate | Coyotes | Recreate #1 | League Job: None 125 TPE | TPE/Day: 2.78 | Total Topics: 6 | Posts/Day: 0.51 | Active Punt Avg: 45.4 | Punt Long: 62 | FG %: 86.7 | XP %: 88.2 | FG Long: 42 - - - - Karmichael is the third and final kicker draft this year. After the first two being drafted in the fourth round, Karmichael slips all the way back to the sixth round where he is selected by the butchers with the 61st overall pick. He split punting duties with Ball Torture this season in Kansas City after he failed to consistently pin the ball inside the twenty yard line time after time. He held onto his place kicking duties, however, in the NSFL, they would hope you can squeeze out kicks a little longer than 42 yards. His leg will need to improve if he hopes to see consistent playing time in the majors. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #62 Overall: Yuuto Kira Cloudera - DT - ![]() kentakira | DT - Interior Rusher | Birddogs | First Player | League Job: None 86 TPE | TPE/Day: 0.95 | Total Topics: 2 | Posts/Day: 0.67 | Active Tackles: 22 | TFL: 0 | Sacks: 1 | Forced Fumbles: 1 | Missed Tackles: 1 - - - - Yuuto, surprisingly enough, is not the only Japanese born player in the draft, but that shouldn’t matter as they had a pretty decent season. With only one sack and a forced fumble, the stats that Yuuto put up may not have inspired any high praise from the fans, but the impact he had on the run game cannot go unmentioned. As an interior rusher, he constant disrupted the running attempts of opposing running backs and was a consistent tackler for most of the season through now. If coaches can keep him active in the weight room and build his strength, we could see a new force for the struggling Baltimore defense and bring them back to the glory days. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #63 Overall: Byron Blackwell - CB - ![]() thecanadiancanuck | CB - Man to Man | Birddogs | First Player | League Job: None 84 TPE | TPE/Day: 0.71 | Total Topics: 2 | Posts/Day: 0.3 | Active PDs: 3 | Int: 1 | Tackles: 22 | Forced Fumbles: 0 | DTDs: 0 - - - - With as many pass deflections as missed tackles, it is easy to see why Byron Blackwell as slipped so far down the draft board after going 39th overall in the DSFL draft at the beginning of the season. The Bird Dogs had high hopes for Blackwell, but he has regressed to just an average prospect this season. Teams are hoping that he can be a project player for them and play in the slot for a couple years before taking on full outside corner duties. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #64 Overall: Joseph May - S - ![]() EvrybdyzRussian | S - Playmaker | SeaWolves | First Player | League Job: None 77 TPE | TPE/Day: 2.08 | Total Topics: 2 | Posts/Day: 0.29 | Inactive PDs: 0 | Int: 0 | Tackles: 0 | Forced Fumbles: 0 | DTDs: 0 - - - - The Outlaws take another safety here, hoping to have one of them break out as a star for their defense. This is a peculiar pick as Joseph has yet to see the field for the Seawolves, but from his tapes at the University of Minnesota, teams are raving about his natural ability. Unsure if this is an oversight on the side of the Seawolves, or if his hype was unwarranted, but the fact that this rookie hasn’t seen time on the field is questionable. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #65 Overall: Broken Bot2draftfinalasdasd - DT - ![]() loco | DT - Interior Rusher | Royals | Recreate #3 | League Job: None 77 TPE | TPE/Day: 1.13 | Total Topics: 49 | Posts/Day: 0.66 | Inactive Tackles: 27 | TFL: 0 | Sacks: 3 | Forced Fumbles: 1 | Missed Tackles: 3 - - - - From the Creators of Big Bot, Lil Bot, and Lil Bot Jr., the 65th overall pick of the NSFL draft is Broken Bot… I am pretty sure I said someone else had the most unpronounceable name, and this would be the only challenger. Another defensive lineman is hoping to find his ranks among the current vets in the league, and with a team just fresh off of expansion, the sailfish are willing to take a chance on a potentially dynamic player that just hasn’t shown the desire to play hard as of yet. He has recorded three sacks and a forced fumble, but most of them came off of broken line schemes that will not happen as frequently at the next level. He may need to go back to the lab for some adjustments before he will be considered a real threat to start for the Sailfish. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #66 Overall: Rice Ahoc-Machine - RB - ![]() ycstefano | RB - All-Purpose | GreyDucks | First Player | League Job: None 74 TPE | TPE/Day: 3 | Total Topics: 2 | Posts/Day: 0.34 | Inactive Rush Yards: 160 | Rush Avg: 4.3 | Rush TDs: 1 | Rec Yards: 7 | Fumbles: 0 - - - - In a backfield consisting of send downs, it was hard for Rice to get any meaningful carries with the team. The product out of UAS Hagenberg and the country of Austria showed up well in his few attempts, having an average of about 4.3 yards per carry. Teams will take a chance on him knowing he will be able to show his ability eventually, but until then, his draft stock wont move much as, again, they are taking a chance on a prospect with little production to show for. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #67 Overall: Charmin Glassley - QB - ![]() nairbretsamdaerb | QB - Game Manager | Coyotes | Recreate #1 | League Job: None 70 TPE | TPE/Day: 0.49 | Total Topics: 5 | Posts/Day: 0.11 | Active pass %: 59.3 | Pass Yards: 126 | Pass TDs: 0 | INTs: 1 | Rating: 55.5 - - - - Charmin is the last QB to come off the board here at the 67th overall pick. He struggled heavily in his few times on the field, failing to score a touchdown to his single interception in just 27 attempts. Because of the low production, teams are hopeful that they were just shown a poor sample size and that he will be able to turn it around when given proper training and the reigns to a franchise. It will take a bit of time, but the rawness of Charmin’s ability is probably the best thing about him. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #68 Overall: Bob Murphy - RB - ![]() Dizzman | RB - Receiving Back | Birddogs | First Player | League Job: None 77 TPE | TPE/Day: 1.69 | Total Topics: 2 | Posts/Day: 0.77 | Active Rush Yards: 215 | Rush Avg: 4.4 | Rush TDs: 2 | Rec Yards: 32 | Fumbles: 0 - - - - Bob has shown steady progress throughout his 8 games with the Dallas Bird Dogs and hopes to continue that as he gets drafted by the Yeti, who seem to be capitalizing on the Running back market. Being drafted at #68 overall isn’t bad, but if he can prove himself in the last couple games of the season as well as his pro day and the NSFL combine, watch his stock slowly rise to maybe a late fourth round pick or early fifth round. Running backs are aplenty in the NSFL, but a versatile player like Bob could play a critical role in a team making their perennial push to the playoffs. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #69 Overall: Dick Thunder - OL - ![]() dylanjj37 | OL - Athletic | GreyDucks | Recreate #2 | League Job: None 59 TPE | TPE/Day: 0.28 | Total Topics: 8 | Posts/Day: 0.11 | Inactive Plays: 878 | Pancakes: 28 | Sacks Allowed: 2 | Penalties: 1 | Penalty Yards: 5 - - - - The ninth pick of the sixth round, also known as the 69th overall pick of the NSFL draft, the Sailfish opt to take Dick Thunder to bolster their offensive line and hopefully stop the defenders from penetrating and getting to the quarterback. Dick thunder is a strong force on the line and hoping to make a name for himself at the next level. Unfortunately, many do not think he has he intelligence to play in complicated line schemes and may let penetrators get to their QB. He will need to do some long and hard workouts along with some studying to find the right balance to be an essential part of an NSFL offensive line. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #70 Overall: Mike Afton - WR - ![]() tree | WR - Speed | Coyotes | First Player | League Job: None 67 TPE | TPE/Day: 1.89 | Total Topics: 3 | Posts/Day: 0.7 | Semi-Active Catches: 1 | Rec Yards: 9 | Rec Avg: 9 | Rec TDs: 0 | Dropped Passes: 0 - - - - With only three receivers left on the board, the Sabercats decide to take their chance on Mike Afton, wide receiver from the Kansas City Coyotes and the University of Iowa. Friends with Joseph Petrongolo, it will be hard for the duo to face off against each other, but at least it is only once per season as they will be joining their teams in opposite conferences. Despite playing seven games so far this season with the Coyotes, Mike has only recorded a single catch as he tries to learn the playbook. He has exceptional speed, but has struggled to break free from defenders or when the ball gets to him, to bring it into the breadbasket. It seems whatever team brings him in will need to rework his mechanics, but if he is up for it, he could be a deadly target in the NSFL. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #71 Overall: Judas The White - DT - ![]() Judas_Iscariot | DT - Interior Rusher | SeaWolves | Recreate #1 | League Job: None 67 TPE | TPE/Day: 1.31 | Total Topics: 11 | Posts/Day: 0.09 | Inactive Tackles: 30 | TFL: 3 | Sacks: 2 | Forced Fumbles: 0 | Missed Tackles: 0 - - - - This interior defensive lineman has shown that he can get in the backfield and disrupt plays, but teams are hoping to see more of it in his final four games of the season before dedicating too much of their scouting to this prospect. Judas recorded two sacks and three tackles for a loss so far this season, about on par with defensive tackles, but has had trouble against the run as his team has allowed 164 rushing yards per game. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"center\\\"] ![]() ![]() - - - - #72 Overall: CJ Hopkins - TE - ![]() noahjohng51 | TE - Vertical Threat | SeaWolves | First Player | League Job: None 76 TPE | TPE/Day: 0.57 | Total Topics: 2 | Posts/Day: 0.22 | Active Catches: 9 | Rec Yards: 34 | Rec TDs: 0 | Pancakes: 11 | Dropped Passes: 7 - - - - The Wraiths opt to select tight end prospect CJ Hopkins from the Norfolk Seawolves and the University of Wisconsin with their pick here at the end of the sixth round. I see CJ as a sleeper Tight End selection and may be able to hit the pros in a year or two under a stricter development plan with the Seawolves, but this may be one of those late gems that teams dream of each draft. He still has his pro day coming up, and if he can show some of the flashes that he showed during the season with the seawolves, he may see his draft stock rise to maybe the early 5th round. Until then, teams can just dream that they snag him late and that he develops. - - - - [/div] [div align=\\\"Center\\\"]Below is a breakdown of where positions and players from each DSFL team went.
