*Draft Profile - CLG Rampage - 06-01-2020 Videl-San Portland, WR Prospect Info College: Orange Star College Hometown: West City, Japan Class: S23 Height: 6’3” Weight: 225 lbs Arms: 30 ¾” Hands: 9 ¼” Measurables 40-Yd dash: 4.41 s 10-Yd split: 1.41 s 20-Yd split: 2.59 s Vertical Jump: 41 in Broad Jump: 11ft 2 ½in Bench Press: 5 reps Prospect Grade: 6.6 - Boom or bust prospect Player Bio Videl’s football career has been defined by incredible highs as well as several injuries. Her time at Fukushima High School was extremely productive when she was on the field. During her sophomore season, producing over 1200 yards on 78 catches as well as scoring 21 touchdowns. Her junior and senior seasons were marred by injury, but she showed enough talent to earn a scholarship from Orange Star College. After a redshirt freshman season, she exploded onto the field during her sophomore year, with well over 2000 yards of offensive production overall. Her junior season was cut short by another ACL injury, but her senior season was even better than her sophomore year, leading Orange Star College to a national championship in Japan. Analysis by Chigg Bungus, NSFL Analyst NSFL Comparison: James Bishop Overview Videl is a player with a medium floor and incredible highs. I think at her worst, she’ll end up as a WR2 or WR3 in all but the most elite receiving corps. At her highest, she’ll flash her speed as a WR1 and burn NSFL cornerbacks easily. Really, the only major concern most people I’ve talked to have for her is her injury history. Two ACL tears before she even makes it to the NSFL makes some people scared to pick her up, but I think if she can get past that history, she’ll be an incredible speed threat. Strengths Consistently strong deep threat Has an extra gear to beat cornerbacks and safeties far down the field Will win on slant routes in the red zone Great frame, can box out corners on short routes if given space Feet never stop moving, can fight through would-be tacklers Good hand-eye coordination Keeps track of deep balls very well Weaknesses Needs to improve short and medium route running Can struggle getting into her routes against physical corners playing press Struggles to make it back to the ball if the throw comes up short Needs to learn how to get 50/50 balls Major injury concerns, 2 ACL tears in her career already Further Comments “Videl is the speedster of this draft, even compared to guys like Hood and Sakura. She just has that extra gear that allows her to get downfield and burn past cornerbacks on the regular. The fact that she’s torn both her ACLs before is worrying, but she’s done well enough in the DSFL that I’m not as concerned. She’s not the first prospect ever that’s had to fight through injury and if she gets through it, she’s gonna be incredible.” - NSFC Scout *Draft Profile - ValorX77 - 06-01-2020 I Thank you for your kind words. |
