Head Bex In Charge - S23 Open Questions - bex - 06-16-2020 Hello all! The illustrious @TomHanks and I will be recording a podcast to talk through the S23 Season Open HO newsletters and your questions! Ask away ![]() Head Bex In Charge - S23 Open Questions - slothfacekilla - 06-16-2020 How did you two choose your signatures for the newsletters? Wait, what newsletter? How often can we expect a newsletter/podcast duo from the leagues? Head Bex In Charge - S23 Open Questions - SchwarzNarr - 06-16-2020 What do you think about the recent accusations that Adelie de Pengu is using illegal substances? What does the league plan to do about this allegation? If Adelie de Pengu is in fact multiple penguins in uniform, does that mean every time he is on the field there should be a "Too Many Men on the Field" penalty called? If not, is it because they are penguins and not men? How does the league plan to adjust rules for all of our non-men players (Penguins, Pandas, Airplane, and a Star system)? Do you feel like @TomHanks is getting preferential treatment due to his celebrity status? How would you go about inviting Arnold (from Hey Arnold!) to be the spokesperson for the league? Head Bex In Charge - S23 Open Questions - Tesla - 06-16-2020 Hello and good time appropriate greeting Bex and TomHanks! I hope that the recording is going well and that you have enjoyed the podcast recording thus far. 0. Before I get into the questions I just want to say thank you for the Head Office newsletters and for then going above and beyond with this podcast. We appreciate you and your work! 1. We have switched to a sixteen game season to accommodate the recent expansion and to balance the schedule which I wholeheartedly agree with. Given the fact that we foresee another expansion at some point in the future; is there a planned number of teams to hit before we look at a change to the playoff format? 2. I was originally going to ask the origin of the signatures, but the lovely Sloth beat me to the punch. So I will say I love them, and instead ask how did you decide on the colors? 3. Along the same line of reasoning as SchwarzNarr; what are your thoughts on an innocent young eight year old hexagon being allowed to compete in the league? Does that also need to be addressed? 4. Of the changes detailed in the two newsletters; what would you say is your favorite? 5. What are your respective hopes for the season from a Head Office standpoint? 6. If I have a problem with the math that led to one of the decisions; where would I go about bringing that up? Thank you ever so much for your time. It means a lot that you do so much for the league. May you have a most lovely day! Head Bex In Charge - S23 Open Questions - ValorX77 - 06-16-2020 There are rumors of expansion on the horizon, will it be announced this season? Describe each member of NOLA as a fast food restaurant. Anything you regret doing this offseason? Why is Videl the most beautiful WR in the league? is it because of the hair or that stare she gives? Why is Toriki the most beautiful RB in the league? Head Bex In Charge - S23 Open Questions - Kyamprac - 06-16-2020 What's the weather like up there? If you could change one thing about the league by a simple snap of the fingers, what would it be? What are your thoughts on all the controversy over changes to season prediction PTs? Head Bex In Charge - S23 Open Questions - goodfortunecoffee - 06-16-2020 Would either of you be interested in adapting a lottery style draft order? What are your views on the new agencies formed? Whats the worst movie either of you have paid money to see in theaters? Head Bex In Charge - S23 Open Questions - Sylphreni - 06-16-2020 Firstly, hello to you both, thanks for all the work you do. There has been a lot of feedback since the newsletter came out in regards to the TPE changes, with many users citing the cutting of predictions while leaving Trivia in as a poor decision. Clearly this was not a decision made solely by HO, but given the feedback thus far how do you plan to move forward? Did you guys know the league has a rule book? I had no idea.... found out like two days ago. (While this is true.... here's a chance for bex to talk about how important the rule book is.) Now that I've given you a chance to discuss the rulebook, lets talk about everyone's least favorite rules: Tampering. Most of the recent punishments that have come down from HO have been tampering related. How does the league address tampering moving forward? As somebody who felt the Zamir violation was a bit weak, I'd be curious to hear if there are considerations among HO to lighten the current slate of tampering rules. Following up my last question, and I know goodfortunecoffee touched on it, but lets talk about the rise of Agents. With the current tampering rules in place, it seems almost impossible for an agent to have..... well.... agency. Given HO has allowed these two agencies permission to open, how do you foresee them operating in the league? What purpose do they serve? How will they inevitably not tamper? How many agencies does HO expect to allow? Following up on agencies, lets talk salary cap. Bex you've said in the past the cap is adjusted based on how much teams are spending on players, OLine bots, etc. and adjusted accordingly. With the potential "rise of agencies" if players begin taking larger deals from teams, how will this effect the salary cap? You've voiced a desire to see it shrink in the not so distant past, but agencies would seem to run antithetical to that, how do you see the two co-existing? The NFL has the option of a Franchise Tag. The ability to keep a player, past their contract for additional years, at an exponentially rising cap cost, allowing the team to keep the player from entering free agency. Will we ever see such a thing implemented in the NSFL? Speaking of Free Agency... The period is so short and ill represented. For a league that thrives off the draft, trades, and player movement how do we make the Free Agency period have more impacl on the league? As someone who follows the league closely, I only knew about two free agents entering the period and that's because they both made media pieces... I assume there were more, but it was never discussed. How do we make that more visible for people to be able to interact with? There have been rumors circulating for a while now about a potential move from Jcink. Any update on that? With another potentially large Reddit class coming in the next season or two, what are the NSFL and DSFL HO's doing to prepare both themselves and the teams? If you work your way through all of these, it's much appreciated! You guys are fantastic, thanks for being you. ![]() Head Bex In Charge - S23 Open Questions - TeyonSchavari - 06-17-2020 To Bex - why do you love me but hate Iowa so much? ![]() To Tom - what is your favorite league moment in the year + that you've been here? To Both - What are your views on the best way to handle backlash against HO, especially as a commissioner, in both a professional and personal manner? I'm interested in hearing the perspective of someone with a lot of experience dealing with it vs someone fairly new to the gig. (PS in advance I'm guessing cry is going to be one of the answers based on my experiences lol) |
