*Zach Crossley Scouting Report - ajtigger - 07-21-2020

Player Overview:

After receiving little attention from scouts leaving high school, Zach Crossley walked-on to the UT Martin football team as a freshman. The receiver helped lead his Skyhawks to the FCS playoffs and an Ohio Valley conference title in his senior season. Zach caught 98 passes for 932 yards. An astonishing 62 of his catches were third down conversions. His performance earned him an all Ohio Valley league first team selection.

Scouting Crossley:
Crossley's biggest impact will come from his ability to play in the slot for his future team. His ability to create space from the defender despite lackluster speed is a testament to his ability to run clean and efficient routes. Zach also has very solid hands for a college prospect. He only had 2 drops in each of his final 2 seasons with the Skyhawks. Additionally, Crossley has some experience as a punt returner that may provide extra value at the professional level. However, at only 5'8" and ~175 lbs Crossley does struggle against larger corners in press coverage. He will need to work on his strength if he hopes to beat press in his professional career.

Developmental outlook:
Crossley has the opportunity to turn into a security blanket for a QB in the DSFL next year. However long term success will depend on him continuously improving his game and having an offensive coordinator that correctly uses his skill set.
