[Charity Drive] UPDATES! - infinitempg - 07-28-2020

Hi all! The Charity Drive has been a massive success so far, with over $500 committed to the NAACP through auctions and perks, and nearly $250 already donated through Tiltify! What the community has done so far (starting early, mind you) is truly awesome and I hope we can keep this energy up this week.

I have a couple updates to share with the community regarding the rest of the Charity Drive:


Milestones

We've already passed several milestones, some of which have already been posted!
  • At $250, CLG Rampage posted a recipe/tutorial on how to cook Chile con Carne, which you can see HERE!
  • At $400, Sylphreni and JKortesi will combine their podcasting talents to get smashed and sing a song on a future After Hours podcast!
  • At $500, BigRed1580 has committed to speaking on a future stream - keep your ears peeled for him!
  • Also at $500, manicmav36 will read a bedtime story for the whole league! A poll for which story to read will go up soon!
  • Another $500 milestone is a raffle for a $50 Amazon Gift Card, sponsored by Reaper11B! You can enter the raffle HERE.
  • Finally at $500, EVERYONE will receive 3 TPE. Post in the claim thread HERE!
We're closing in on a few more milestones that I'd like to just bring everyone's attention to:
  • At $700, Reaper11B will raffle off his Ferrari F1 Wheel Replica, which you can see here:

  • At $750, JPach will commentate a preseason game while eating ghost peppers!
  • Also at $750, Duilio05 will host an AMA! He is a botanist for the US Forest Service and National Park Service, and has expertise in invasive species.
  • At $1000, Frostbite will appear on a stream!

New Auctions and Perks

We've also added new Auctions and Perks this week! There are also many perks still well below their minimum claims, and many auctions that are still at very low or no bids - so make sure to check those out if you want to contribute!


Updated Auction Rules

We've received a lot of feedback on how auctions work and we want to ensure that people don't simply wait until the last second to bid. Therefore, we will be instituting the following rule:

Code:
When an auction reaches a bid of $20, a 12 hour time will be placed on it before it closes. The timer is reset when a new bid is made.

Remember that bids only have to be $1 above the previous bid.

Additionally, we will be closing all bids at 9:00 PM Eastern Time on FRIDAY. This is a reminder that if you win your bid, you are expected to make the donation on our Tiltify page in order to receive it. Make sure to comment in your donation what bid(s) you won, and also to post in the Donation Confirmation Thread.


TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS FOR CHAMPIONS BY CHAMPIONS

As JPach announced earlier this week, the TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS FOR CHAMPIONS BY CHAMPIONS has announced their GMs, and the fantasy draft has started! The games will take place during the Friday night Charity Livestream starting at 8:00PM and will be single elimination. We will also have a couple hosts commentating on the games as well as the state of the Charity Drive!
