Media Grading Update - adam2552 - 07-21-2017

As others have noted, paying writers for their articles is taking too long. The current system was to wait until an article had been sitting untouched for seven days, then grade and move to the “Graded Articles” tab. The new method will put the onus of requesting to be graded on the writer.

When your article is ready to be graded, you must post a link to it in the new “Ready for Grading” pinned post. Please note that your article will not be graded instantly as it is posted there, it will likely still take us several days to grade it and then several more days for the bank to post the transaction. Articles will be graded in the order they are posted. Once an article is graded, the grader will edit your post with “GRADED” at the bottom. You may add multiple articles to a single post, however do not edit your post to add more articles and jump people in line. If we see this happen, all your articles will be moved to the end of the queue for grading.

After an article is graded, it will remain in the regular media section. We will continue to move articles out of the regular section and to the graded section after seven days of inactivity. Any article that hits that point without requesting to be graded, will be graded at that time.

To help with this transition we are adding another media grader, @Deusolis. Welcome to the media grading team!

Great call @adam2552 I think this will really help out the writers while not adding any extra workload for your graders.

IMO it seems overly complicated. You're making the people who want articles graded do an extra step. Since that's going to be 95% of people who post articles in the media section, it would have been easier on everyone to ask people who don't want their articles graded to do an extra step.

IMO, if it's posted, it's ready to grade, unless it's explicitly stated it's not ready to grade. From a graders perspective, it just requires you to check the post for something indicating it's not (which would be easy assuming graders actually read/scan articles already). That's going to rarely happen and even when it does most of the time it's less than a couple days before it's done.

I tend to agree with this. People just want their money once they post something. Discussion can continue even if something is moved to the graded area.
