*I Wanna Be The Very Best! A Pokemon Gym Guide to Position Groups - Cody - 08-03-2020

Hello there! Welcome to the world of simulation football! My name is Spruce! People call me the simulation football Prof! You are currently in the ISFL Forum. This forum is inhabited by people called prospects! For some GMs, prospects are pets. Others use them for football games. Myself...I study prospects as a profession. Your very own simulation football legend is about to unfold! A world of dreams but more so crushing reality with simulation football awaits! Let’s go!

I want to be the very best, like no one ever was… This is the anthem for many of the prospects who are currently awaiting their fate. They have been assigned their place on the Prospect Teams, where they will battle one another until they are bloodied and bruised. The star draftees are starting to pull away in their position group and outshining their brethren. They stand above.

It is similar to how Pokemon works the best of the best run the gyms and the truly unbelievable trainers are awaiting those to challenge them in the Elite 4. What if the prospective draftees were to have 1 player rep each positions group? Who would be leading the Quarterbacks , the Linebackers or the Wide Receivers and where would they rank in the ISFL region? Which prospects have risen above the rest to be in the Elite 4 and champion of the Season 24 prospects?

First Gym – The Kicker/Punter Badge

Jack Fencik, Kicker/Punter - Ht. 5’8” Weight 165 lbs
He is not too intimidating to the other special team prospects but he does rise above the rest. He might be the first prospect you encounter but he is still going to give you a challenge.

Second Gym – The Quarterback Badge
Owen Holloway – Ht. 6’0” Weight 195 lbs
Holloway is a master of game management. He will wear your team down using methodical techniques. Your endurance better be high because you’re going to be in for a long match.

Third Gym – The Running Back Badge
Jameson Vermillion – Ht. 5’8” Weight 215 lbs
Fast. Only way to describe this prospect. He’s going to hit you fast. He may not pack a hard punch but no one can withstand the barrage this guy brings.

Fourth Gym – The Linebacker Badge
Rusty Rucker – Ht. 6’2” Weight 235 lbs
Jack of all trades. He’s a very balanced linebacker who is going to test you from every angle. He doesn’t excel in one aspect but don’t let that fool you. This prospect can ball.
Fifth Gym – The Wide Receiver/Tight End Badge

Dave Batista – Ht. 6’6” Weight 280 lbs
This is one big boy. More of a blocking tight end this doesn’t mean Batista can’t go out and catch a few passes. He’ll stop defenders in their tracks on the line and run them over in the open field.

Sixth Gym – The Secondary Badge
Davriel Lavigne – Ht. 6’2” Weight 215 lbs
Out of all the secondary prospects in this draft, Lavigne isn’t the best but he’s damn close. He’s a veteran of the league and will shut down any receiver that tries to cross him. Don’t be a hater boy because you’re jealous of his talent.

Seventh Gym – The Offensive Line Badge
Felix Archstone, OL – Ht. 6’3” Weight 340 lbs
One of the best OL prospects. He may play dirty but he keeps his quarterback clean. If you’re taking this prospect expect some off the field issues but you’re going to win ball games.

Eighth Gym – The Defensive Line Badge
Etrigan T. Slayer – Ht. 6’4” Weight 285 lbs
Quality prospect all around. This prospect is a home run and has been very active. He is going to wreak havoc on opposing offensive lines and don’t be surprised if he pushes himself into a high draft pick for the ISFL draft.

The Elite Four

Medicinal Toblerone, Offensive Line – Ht. 6’7” Weight 340 lbs
The ground shakes under this prospect. Defensive Tackles cower before him. You do not want to go up against him. He is the first prospect you will face in the Elite 4 but don’t take him lightly.

Albert Ruschman, Defensive End – Ht. 6’4” Weight 275 lbs
A hustler through and through. This prospect worked his butt off to get into the Elite Four and he’s not looking to relinquish that spot anytime soon. Expect him to dominate other prospects. The second prospect of the Elite 4 is fast and furious.

Dukburg QuakStak Cornerback – Ht. 6’1” Weight 210 lbs
The third member of the Elite 4 has put the work in. He has a ton of experience and will easily make any team that takes him happy. Look for him to produce immediately in the DSFL and the ISFL as a high pick.

Alex Reed Wide Receiver – Ht. 6’1” Weight 185 lbs
The final member of the Elite 4. It wasn’t even a contest for him to take over this role. He’s fast and won’t drop a pass. He has left all the other Wider Receiver prospects in the dust. Look for him to put up a lot yard and touchdowns for his new team.

The Champion

Goat Tank Defensive Tackle – Ht. 6’5” Weight 310 lbs
The undefeated champion of the Season 24 prospects. This guy got started early on his TPE earning adventure and has no signs of slowing down. He’s often listed as the number 1 pick in mock drafts and it’s not hard to see why. Goat Tank is the best, he is the champion.

In Conclusion

Do you think you could get through these prospects and become the eventual champion of the season 24 draftees? It’s going to take a lot of hard work but you still have time to boost your draft stock. Just remember to keep plugging away and good things will happen. The ISFL forums are great and the Discord servers are always there to assist any prospects with questions. If you keep at it you’ll eventually hear the three words every prospect wants to hear from a team’s general manager. I CHOOSE YOU!
I truly appreciate everyone here and I wish everyone the best of luck in the Prospect Bowl and on draft day!

Out of all the compliments people have paid me over my life, being compared to an Elite Four member is one of the highest.

You enter my gym and are greeted by this guy.[Image: 1hKuiOI.png]

Immediately, you find yourself stepping on multiple layers of spikes, poison spikes, and stones. You try to attack only to find that he has a rocky helmet on, so you take recoil damage, and then extra recoil damage due to his iron barb ability. The damage you dealt to him is then healed as you find out he used leech seed on you. You cannot win. This battle was over before it even began. You cannot beat the wall.
