So this is one of those medias to completely ignore if I am being brutally honest. I am confident it will have parts that you may find funny but it will for the most part be either me waffling to myself or just getting a lot of things off my chest that I would like public. No, it isn't going to be passive aggressiveness on small things or anything juicy. It is just the state I am in with Lazzy my cultist gridrion american football player and how I would like to continue with him.
That is your only disclaimer cause if I am brutally honest this post is mainly about my thoughts and no-one realistically gives 2 shits what a brit thinks about this sim league or about his character. I can 100% understand not really ready it and that is okay.
The main percentage reason for me doing this is purely because of my money situation. I do not have time for a job in any sim league and I love to do media interview posts. I remember back when x2 media was a rather common thing I would just do an insane amount and got myself to about 100 million. Well, just shy of it at one point.
I have always prided myself on taking the bare minimum. If I could take less than a million or no contract money I happily would cause then the money can be with the people who can't really earn nor make much money quick and easily but those are the breaks with media I guess. Since the x2 was destroyed it crippled the amount of time I would do for how much I would get so low quality posts like this are way better for me now. It sucks but time is money. It was was a reason my money has slowly gone down but thanks to going inactive I have actually saved quite a bit of money.
As an Offensive Lineman I cost 4 million (So less than a 'quality' bot Offensive Lineman) and since I am retiring and taking this season as a break I am in a good spot but I feel I can be in a much healthier position for my future player.
A dude yesterday on the International Simulation Football League twitter feed called Mario Von Pebbles did a tweet of an excel screenshot of the richest mother fuckers in this league. Now I will save a bit of time and say you are 100% correct to guess Isa and Wolfie and 1st and second respectively with 526 million and 488 million. Kind of insane really.
But the key thing in that picture was that 20th overall had only 100 million to his or her name. This genuinely shocked me cause if I am being perfectly honest I do not think money is that hard to make in sim leagues. I pumped 168 million in 1 week in PBE to make sure Jose Forty-Three was sorted for his whole career and Lazzy was in the same boat but just needing less cash.
So honestly it is a little bit of a goal for myself right now to pump my currently 73 million after contract to get into the top 20 and have a very healthy amount in my bank for my next recreate. It is also a pretty good benefit to have going into my next character. It would pretty much mean that the money side of my next player is already sorted. I can take bare minimum contracts for life again and help the team in that aspect like I did with the Colorado Yeti and Yellow Kitchen Knife Wraiths.
Would that be a good thing to advertise to my stock? I WILL TAKE BARE MINIMUM CONTRACTS!
I am hoping that helps. It comes at the cost of saying absolute bollocks like this but since this is kind of like a diary media post I may as well look at the bigger picture.
Laszlo Forty-Two's time in the league has ended with his inactive dead corpse being in 1 final season. If it goes well, sweet that is perfect. He will still get the super quick stuff like predictions and activity checks but I am saving my cash cause it feels a little silly to me to waste a lot of money on something that will be gone by roughly the end of September. He will still be good mind.
It kinda shocked me to discover in a recent media post that The Laz is basically one of the highest Total Points Earned players in history of the league. Like, if I am brutally honest it baffles me cause I missed a lot of stuff. I remember missing a mock draft for about 5 points, a couple of weekly predictions here and there sprinkled over a handful of those seasons I was max earning in and just silly mistakes yet I managed to make the list? Kinda baffling.
This new recreate mind I will be looking way more consistent and motivated like I am in the other sim leagues. I am going to be going hard as I can to be a max earner. You know what I should do another shameless plug for myself. I WILL BE A MAX EARNER!
Oh hey my future draft stock is rising! How neat.
The next part of this will be about future positions and my god will this be boring. Maybe you will like to read my thoughts on your position whoever is reading this but the rest is just my thoughts on it really.
I should say that I have Laszlo Forty-Two in 2 other sim league. The first was more of a RPG like thing with Goal Line Blitz and my boy was successful in a lot of position. I keep track of everything he ended up winning and I really like the idea of him winning in every position throughout his career. I do not really know if being in multiple leagues would happen in real life but Laszlo Forty-Two has a 'The Laz will break you' mentality so good luck to any lawyer who would want to stop him from that. Plus this is fictional at the end of the day and in real life the National Football League lasts like only 20 weeks which is short as fuck really.
In Goal Line Blitz 2 I am able to just have any position backed up so it comes down to personal choice but a few positions are going to be decided from my experiences or other sim leagues. Thought I would give that a special disclaimer.
Oh I should also say. I am doing a sort of remake/recreate of Laszlo Forty-Two. I have not 100% committed to the name but maybe just Mr. Forty-Two or The Laz or hell even just Lazzy Forty-Two. I don't know which sounds the best overall but I have time to decide. My face claim will be Arnie as Dr. Freeze from that 1 Jim Carrey Batman movie I keep forgetting the name of. Had Kiss from a Rose as the big song in it. I fucking love Seal. Yes, that was very important to this media. If anything you take from this awful media, it is I god damn love the singer Seal.
I actually remember saying to the Yeti as well that I was pretty much locked into Offensive Lineman but now I have gotten myself the championship I am more flexible for just simply editing the position I won in Goal Line Blitz to make sure I am able to play whatever position now that the big ass monkey is finally off my back. This is just for fun at the end and I can build the story however I like. Sure the title doesn't transfer over to the next character but what I do in other sim leagues doesn't here either so why not just simply have it at the end in my story. Nothing wrong with it and this makes it was more fun for me.
Anyhoo let us move onto the positions
Quarter Back - So I am not against playing as a Quarter-Back really. I am a very high earning player who is confident that I will be up in the top 20 once again with this recreate at the end of it all. I am more than willing to allow my General Managers build my player with whatever they know works and more than capable of making him as good as I can to make a franchise QB for a team.
This position really does have a lot of pros to it but a decent number of cons too. Like realistically who in the fuck would take me and play me since I am going into the drafts with fresh eyes on every team. I am up for for every team if they do want me but that takes a lot of trust and realistically it would mean I am playing under someone about to hit regression and I do want to gun Hall of Fame with this character. Now maybe I just start out as a Quarter back in the Development Simulation Football League and then use my free position switch to turn into another position. That could work. I would not really miss out of much staying down an extra season too that way before my major league team would want me.
Overall this position makes me feel like it is high risk and high reward. I know I could make one of the best QBs the league could see in my prime seasons but I just cannot see any General Manager trusting me since they are usually General Managers, Former General Managers or just people who are lifers for that team and that right now is not me.
Running Back - Half back or full backs? I dunno this position seems to have may position names that I just do not know. But this feels like it is in the same boat as Quarter-back. I do really like this position a lot though and would love to make Lazzy one. One of my favourite memories in this sport is playing Madden 07 in the be a pro mode or whatever the fuck it was called. You could make an absolute monster no defending player could stop and just tank through them. It was fucking great and one of my funnest memories so why not do it to every enemy opposition in this league?
Wide Receiver - Yeah? Nah. This is a 100% not happening chief. This is probably the leagues most popular position, it is extremely hard to stand out and most like you will play under way better Wide Receivers like I did at the Colorado Yeti. This is not a knock or salt on them as they knew how much I just did not like Wide Receiver when I would complain about it. Switching out of Wide Receiver to Offensive Lineman was nothing short of a breathe of fresh are. Getting pancakes and cucking Defensive Lineman is fucking amazing. Probably just means that I am more defensive minded but still a 100% no. Just not a fun position and you have to be extremely lucky and have an elite Quarter back, great offensive line, no other wide receivers so you are the main guy and just overall it is too harsh conditions for me to ever try again.
Pretty fun in the minor leagues but even that did not go that well for me. I pretty much got forgotten in that Luchadores team cause I was just above average and that sucks. Just 100% no and never again.
Tight End - Hey, remember when I whined, bitched and moaned about Wide Receiver? Now I do not know how big of a difference this position is in the sim game but it feels roughly the same. Now it is was more unpopular and needed than the above position but I am just 50/50 about wanting to be one. This might be a 'I pick for minors and use free position switch' thing. I always liked the idea of Lazzy being a catcher and is a huge reason why I picked Wide Receiver originally so it could work but I do not even know how useful a stupidly high Total Points Earned player actually is.
Offensive Lineman - Ah, what a beautiful position. THE most important position on the bloody field I might add. Running Backs do not get Most Valuable Player awards without these guys and Quarter Backs get sacked a stupid amount of times in Ultimus finals without them! The position of the unsung hero. People notice when you concede sacks but not when you are making every Defensive Lineman look like a flat pancake fool. Feels real bad.
I am glad I could show the league how fucking broken a max Total Point Earned Offensive Lineman can be for a team and how you need to invest in all these newbies picking this position as the next big Laszlo but for me personally I am not against in the future becoming an Offensive Lineman but not anytime soon as I want to just simply play another position. I wish I changed earlier. I wish I did not think my current player is not a waste of time but I do and I need a fresh restart and that means another position sadly.
Glad I won in this position already cause that I am adding to Laszlo's history at least. Probably as a final season thing or something.
Defensive End & Defensive Tackle - Oh boy. I bet everyone thinks this is the perfect position to me. The handful of you that are in the super fun Super Casual Football Sim League know me as one of the most bullshit Defensive Lineman players going. Defensive rookie and defensive player of the year winner. The dude who is pissed off that we win but do not get close to sack records. Founder of Sack City. I am ADDICTED to making Quarter Backs miserable and getting insane sacks people in here have wet dreams about.
But that is just it. I know I could be an insane Dee-Liner but I already have that other league for these positions. I do not really want to be the same position twice. I want to play as many positions as possible really. Variety is the spice of death, etc. So sadly that position is filled. Plus I was an Offensive Lineman in this league and I like cucking these guys so why would I join the enemy?
Okay that so far is all of the offensive playing positions past Kicker but I will be saving them for part two of this. I am rather shocked with how long this has been but pretty glad to finally be able to say this stuff as well. Not the best piece of media ever but rather relaxing. I am glad I can just simply chill in this league right now and observe rather than worry. Way more enjoyable.
