How fun was it to think up of "themes" for the types of cards and who was the most helpful part in the creative aspect of designing each theme or category?

I would echo @Revolution5 's great question around the creative process for creating the cards. I think that hearing more from some of the card creators would provide a lot of good context for people around graphics creation in general. What are considerations made for choosing your themes? What are your creative influences for cards? I'd love to hear more technical details around how cards are composed or edited.
