*Pat's Season 24 Award Races through Week 4 - Pat - 08-16-2020 Hello there sports fans. Pat here back at you with another one of his pointless and most likely incorrect rankings. Today we're going to take a look at my take on how each of the major individual awards are shaping up following week 4 of the 24th season of the International Simulation Football League. Offensive Player of the Year 1) Deondre Thomas-Fox | WR - San Jose SaberCats 22 Rec (4th) | 461 yards (1st) | 21 YPC (2nd) | 3 TD (4th) 2) Mathias Hanyadi | RB - Yellowknife Wraiths 93 Car (1st) | 416 yards (1st) | 3 TD (3rd) 10 Rec | 124 yards 3) Nicholas Ayers | RB - Honolulu Hahalua 54 Car | 229 yards (12th) | 4 TD (2nd) 12 Rec | 128 yards | 2 TD 4) James Angler | FB/TE - Sarasota Sailfish 28 Rec (1st) | 352 yards (4th) | 2 TD (9th) | 6 Pancakes 5) Marcella Toriki | RB - New Orleans Second Line 60 Car | 356 yards (2nd) | 5.9 YPC (1st) | 1 TD 7 Rec | 27 Yards Honorable mentions: Jamar Lackson | RB - San Jose SaberCats Wolfie McDummy | QB - Colorado Yeti Ashley Owens | RB - Colorado Yeti Monty Jack | QB - San Jose SaberCats After the first four weeks of the season, we have a pretty long list of contenders for Offensive Player of the Year. In my opinion, Deondre Thomas-Fox is the clear-cut choice at the seasons quarter mark. He has been nearly unstoppable for San Jose this season, torching opposing secondaries for an insane 21 YPC on very high volume of 22 catches. He has proven to be QB Monty Jack's favorite target, accounting for one-third of his completed passes and over 40% of his passing yards. Behind Thomas-Fox we have a plethora of deserving players, especially at running back. Mathias Hanyadi for Yellowknife has proven that the workhorse RB isn't dead, racking up 103 touches and 560 yards through the team's first four games. Rookie Nicholas Ayers for Honolulu has made the most of his chances, scoring six touchdowns on only 66 touches. Marcella Toriki of the Second Line has been the picture of efficiency on the ground, gashing defenses for nearly 6 yards per carry. Defensive Player of the Year 1) Haha Mango-Panda | LB - Sarasota Sailfish 32 Tackles | 4 sacks | 1 INT | 6 Passes Defended | 1 FF | 1 FR 2) Jim Waters | CB - Honolulu Hahalua 21 Tackles | 4 INT | 9 Passes Defended 3) Deshun Jones | LB - Orange County Otters 34 Tackles | 4 sacks | 3 Passes Defended 4) Brave Ulysses | DE - New Orleans Second Line 16 Tackles | 9 TFL | 2 Sacks | 1 Forced Fumble 5) Dared de Vile | LB - Baltimore Hawks 24 Tackles | 2 Sacks | 1 Forced Fumble | 6 Passes Defended Honorable mentions: Andrew Witten | CB - New Orleans Second Line Shawn Dawkins | FS - Honolulu Hahalua Beat | FS - Sarasota Sailfish Douglas Quaid | LB - Yellowknife Wraiths Immanuel Blackstone | DE - Colorado Yeti Through the first four weeks, Defensive Player of the Year has been a two-man race between Haha Mango-Panda and Jim Waters. Mango-Panda gets the nod here for making a difference all over the field, and for the fact that Sarasota has the best record in the league. Waters has been a thorn in the side of QB's this season, too, leading the league with 4 INT, double the second place player, and also having 9 passes defended, good for tops in the league also. Kicker/Punter of the Year 1) Alfredo Crisco | K - Austin Copperheads 10/10 FG | 8/8 PAT | 1/1 40+ yarders | 1/1 50+ yarders 24 punts | 1182 yards | 49.2 Avg | 4 Inside 20 2) Alex Dasistwirklichseinnachname | K - Orange County Otters 8/8 FG | 6/10 PAT | 2/2 40+ yarders 21 punts | 1078 yards | 51.3 Avg | 6 inside 20 3) Venus Powers | K - Honolulu Hahalua 5/5 FG | 11/11 PAT | 2/2 50+ yarders 23 punts | 1136 yards | 49.4 Avg | 3 inside 20 Kickers are people, too. Thighmaster Crisco has been in a league all his own kicking the ball this year, but Dasistwirklichseinnachname and Powers are right behind him. Offensive Rookie of the Year 1) Nicholas Ayers | RB - Honolulu Hahalua 54 Car | 229 yards | 4 TD 12 Rec | 128 yards | 2 TD 2) Colby Jack | QB - Yellowknife Wraiths 71/130 | 54.6% | 779 Yards | 9 TD | 3 INT 41 Rush yards | 1 Rush TD 3) Kai Sakura | WR - Yellowknife Wraiths 18 Rec | 272 Yards | 3 TD Season 24 has not been the year of the rookie on offense. These three players are the only ones thus far to have made substantial impacts to their team's performances. Let's be real here though - at this point this award is Ayers' to lose. He leads the entire ISFL in touchdowns with 6, and has also on pace for a very respectable 1,400 total yards. Colby Jack has stepped in very nicely as the leader of the Yellowknife offense, and is second in the league in both passing touchdowns and touchdowns responsible for with 10. Defensive Rookie of the Year 1) Lesean Paris Crooks | CB - Baltimore Hawks 26 Tackles | 2 INT | 3 PD | 1 FF | 1 FR 2) Carl Wheezer | DT - Orange County Otters 14 Tackles | 3 TFL | 2 Sacks 3) Philip Stein | FS - San Jose SaberCats 16 Tackles | 2 INT | 3 Passes Defended | 1 Sack Much like Offensive Rookie of the Year, we haven't seen many high performances out of rookies so far this season, with many playing behind high-quality veterans. Lesean Paris Crooks has been a standout for Baltimore, and has played all over the field, stuffing his stat sheet with tackles and force turnovers. Note: Most Valuable Player will be announced in the Mid-Year version of these rankings. Once again, thank you all for reading. Please, let me know who I missed and who shouldn't be on these lists. That would have absolutely changed my order of the awards. How dare you sir, I have plenty of negative impact on my team's performances and I will not let this libel stand.
