Mr. James would also like to issue a statement on his prior situation. Mr. James holds no ill will towards his former teammates or even some members of the Philadelphia Liberty front office. He wishes all of his former teammates the best of luck for their personal success, but cannot in good faith, wish them any team success. Mr. James would like to eliminate all speculation that his contract was an undue burden on the Philadelphia Liberty organization. My client came to the Liberty front office with an initial contract proposal that is smaller than the one his counterpart in the trade is receiving from the Liberty by more than a million dollars. Mr. James is a skilled and player and believes his skills are superior to his replacement. To be frank any speculation that Mr. James' contract was unbearable or unfair to the Liberty has been proven to be quite false.
