Matt James Ends Holdout And Begins Negotiations - MattJames - 07-22-2017 Press Release: Jay Z, Roc Nation Sports, Representing Offensive Tackle Prospect Matt James. Good evening. I am issuing this statement on behalf of my client, offensive lineman, rights currently owned by the Yellow Knife Wraiths, Matt James. After a long negotiation process with the Philadelphia Liberty Mr. James was traded to the Yellow Knife Wraiths for a 4th round pick and a player, going against his wishes to reward the Liberty front office for their mistreatment of players. Mr. James and myself are in open talks with the front office of the Wraiths and are confident that we will be able to reach an agreement to resolve this issue in the future. While my client understands reneging on his promise to hold out should a team reward the Liberty with anything more than a 7th round pick Mr. James must also protect his own interests over every player in the league. Mr. James also feels playing for a division rival would provide him the opportunity to pay back the Liberty for their hostile and disrespectful negotiating and management practices. Mr. James would also like to issue a statement on his prior situation. Mr. James holds no ill will towards his former teammates or even some members of the Philadelphia Liberty front office. He wishes all of his former teammates the best of luck for their personal success, but cannot in good faith, wish them any team success. Mr. James would like to eliminate all speculation that his contract was an undue burden on the Philadelphia Liberty organization. My client came to the Liberty front office with an initial contract proposal that is smaller than the one his counterpart in the trade is receiving from the Liberty by more than a million dollars. Mr. James is a skilled and player and believes his skills are superior to his replacement. To be frank any speculation that Mr. James' contract was unbearable or unfair to the Liberty has been proven to be quite false. Mr. James wishes Jazzy J the best of luck in her contract negotiations with the Liberty front office and I quote, "She's going to need it." My client is eager to get a deal done with the Wraiths so he can get to work. Mr. James is excited about the potential in his new home and would like to go on record that Mr. Bzerkap has been an embodiment of professionalism one would expect from a general manager in this league throughout the entirety of the draft and contract negotiation process. Mr. James remains open to questions in his presser. Thank you. Matt James Ends Holdout And Begins Negotiations - Oles - 07-23-2017 This was put on the wrong thread. You still were asking exorbitant amounts. |
