*Adam's Random League Thoughts Right Now - AdamS - 09-03-2020

Well well well my pretties I'm back again with some hard hitting analysis. And what I mean by that is I'm just gonna talk about stuff in the league without a real clear central theme or meaning. Because I can. Also don't expect a lot of segues or anything. Although fun fact..the inventor of the segue died by accidentally segue'ing off a mountain. Okay that's not actually fun per se. But it's like a Monty Python sketch come to life. Let's move on.

So, for starters, I realized my new computer doesn't actually have a camera so the Vidcast is on hiatus for a while. I might record a regular old voice based podcast at some point so we'll see how things go. So you'll have to remember my beautiful face on your own time. IN the meantime, I'm off in the DSFL building up my 4th player and future multi-time Pro Bowler Adam C. Spencer. I named him after I cheese I ate once. It's been an interesting ride to get back to the DSFL and kind of jump into that maelstrom with this season's rather large class. It's also kind of exciting to me that 120ish people only represents like the 5th biggest class of the modern ISFL era. Been having fun in the Royals LR. My 3rd DSFL team after the Coyotes and Buccs. Probably my favorite too. Not just because I'm there now. It's a good energy. I mean there's a fuckin' reason the GMs changed. They got promoted out of the damn job. And I have to be reminded that the new guys are in place now because it moved along so seemlessly.

Now you might be saying Adam the only reason you're out here sucking London's dick is because you're on the team and to you I say I'll fucking come over there and raspberry your tummy in your sleep. Do you know how little you want that in your life? Me just comin' out of the dark, making noises on your navel? Nobody wants that shit. Nobody. Put your hand down Butters. There will not be any questions. London is rgeat.

Been active on Twitter for the first time in forever and a day. It's fun to get in on the banter and just fuck around and also do the old man "I helped start this" shtick. It's like a weird retirement tour where I'm not retiring. Just goin' around the league like "I built this, I rebuilt that, I did this". it's great. I think I've reached the point where everyone knows that I like to work with others and that lots of people can lay claim to the same shit I am accurately so anyone who tries to come in with a "well akshually Ben Shapiro says" will get sat down and calmly handed some crayons. That was a dry joke in honor of Dr. Shapiro.  ISFL

I dont know why it seemed so funny to me to put the logo right there but I know at least one person who's probably facepalming now. Either way, I made a big deal about how I wanted to cut loose and just purely have fun with this go around. So I've been doing that and it's been awesome. Ambush self-scouting basically every GM was so great. I ejoyed it immensely. Especially the ones who like..started off kinda stiff because they didn't know what I was really doing. Also..lets face it. I've bamboozled most of these GMs at some point or another. Or yelled at them. Or both. But then the flip once they realize what's actually happening is great. I'm already getting to hang out in at least 1 LR now and kind of interact with people. I'm looking forward to more now that we're about to hit trade deadline and shit's really gonna start getting real. And also so I can do my old my brag shit and be like "I started all these prospect rooms sonny". Really I'm just enjoying seeing all this lively interactivity among teams. A league with teams buzzing all over is a good league. Or one surrounded by bees.

Sidenote: If you haven't listened to the Kongos...you're missing out.

Okay..so I've done the math. Here's how the unthinkable can happen.

Honolulu wins vs SJS and @Austin
but loses vs @Nola and @OCO

OCO wins vs Honolulu and SJS
but loses vs @Zona and @Austin

Nola win vs Honolulu and Austin
but loses vs @SJS and @Zona

SJS wins vs Zona and Nola
but loses vs @Honolulu and @OCO

Zona wins vs Nola and OCO
but loses @Austin and @SJS

They will then all go 9-7. Austin finishes 6-10. And only requires one road win for the whole plan. And I will laugh and laugh and laugh.

If I were a betting man, and there's a bit of evidence for that, I'd say Baltimore actually ends up with the #1 pick. Their two games vs Chicago and Philly are both on the road while YKW and Colorado come to visit. 3 losses are likely and going 0-4 is possible. Meanwhile Philly gets Chicago and Baltimore at home. Very winnable. Chicago is practically out of the running for this already and gets Baltimore at home on Friday. They likely need to lose all 4 games to be in the running for #1 overall. Which would financially benefit me greatly by the way. With a home game against Baltimore and road games at YKW and Philly they're likely to steal a game in there to end with 5 wins though.

Of course if Baltimore does get the #1 overall pick, it's San Jose who benefits since they actually own the pick. Plot twist. San Jose could end up with a deep playoff run and the #1 pick. Or two top 6 picks. It's kinda all gravy for San Jose right now. Keep close eye on that Honolulu road game. Between that and the game against OCO (also on the road) that's the one you want to win if you're San Jose. Conference record and head to head record would fall more in their favor at that point than it would if they beat OCO but lost to the Hahalua. SiMath! Baltimore by the way, owns Austin's first round pick which will likely be in the top 5. Although I just now realizes that it's likely the two expansion teams get #1 and #2. Depending on whether the plan is for them to start immediately or not, which i admit to not remembering if I've been told.

In awards races....the QBs all kinda suck this season. This could be the time where a defender breaks out a little more and wins MVP. This could also be where people start to realize that it seems like the sim stretches stats out based on number of games per season. I have no real info to back this but man it seems like it. I welcome your numerical input on this halfassed theory.

And that is what I've got for you right now. Cheers!
