*Expansion Mock Draft? - frazzle14 - 09-13-2020

Hi folks, as I’m a rookie in this league I haven’t had a lot of time to learn about the ISFL as I’ve been concentrating on my DSFL team, GO YOTES, but I thought I’d give this expansion mock draft a try (for that 1.5x media cash of course). This isn’t going to be a well researched or well written mock draft like a lot of the others you’ve seen. This is pretty much going to be based on names I like or people I know. So please don’t get offended if you find something wrong with this list as it isn’t a  “serious” mock draft like most others. I just really need the cash.

A reminder of the GM’S players:

NY Silverbacks:

Dukburg Quickstak CB (S25, 265 TPE)
Bubba Thumper DT (S17, 1275 TPE)

Berlin Fire Salamanders:
Asher Quinn WR (S18, 1022 TPE)
Nick Kapercolin WR (S22, 763 TPE)

So, it’s time to start this and here we go with the first pick:

Round 1 – Pick 1
NY Silverbacks pick Karmichael Hunt K/P (Philadelphia Liberty S23 – 454 TPE)

A kicker with the 1st pick? Yeah that’s right. Why this kicker? Because he’s my GM and he’s a really good dude maybe. The team that drafts/signs him will be getting a rising kicker who will be the best kicker in the league one day I guarantee it. They’ll also be getting an awesome LR presence who can contribute in many ways to the team. Basically why did Philly not protect him? Seems like it will be a huge mistake and NY are the team who benefit from it.

Philly protect Avon Blocksdale Junior TE

Round 1 – Pick 2
Berlin Fire Salamanders pick Fuzzy Dotson RB (Philadelphia Liberty S18 – 814 TPE)

Fuzzy is a high earning RB and will be ready to step into Berlin as the starting RB. Fuzzy is the one who checks my updates and helped me at the start after I made a mistake with my first major update as most, if not all, of the links had problems. Fuzzy also complimented my sig even though it looks terrible so I would say that makes him worthy of a 1st round pick.

Philly have no more protection slots.

Round 2 – Pick 1
Berlin Fire Salamanders pick Son Goku DE (Sarasota Sailfish S23 – 615 TPE)

Let’s be honest which team (except from Sarasota of course) wouldn’t want Goku on their defensive line going SUPER SAIYAN and flying through the opposition’s offensive line to take down the QB. Berlin gets someone who will be a stalwart on their defensive line for years to come.

Sarasota protect Clark Boyd TE

Round 2 – Pick 2

NY Silverbacks pick Hingle McCringleberry LB (Chicago Butchers S23 – 478 TPE)

With a name that just rolls off the tongue and looks like it probably won’t even fit properly on the back of a jersey, NY selects Hingle to be a playmaker all over the field as they look to build a strong defense.

Chicago protects Bender Rodriguez WR

Round 3 – Pick 1

NY Silverbacks pick Rapid Eagle DT (Orange County Otters S21 – 753 TPE)

Being an eagles fan myself, what better person to pick here than a RAPID EAGLE. Eagle gives the silverbacks a awesome interior to their defensive line along with Bubba Thumper.

Orange County protects Lord Beerus CB

Round 3 – Pick 2

Berlin Fire Salamanders pick Yuuto Kira Cloudra DT (San Jose Sabercats S23 – 417 TPE)

Berlin picks the awesome sounding Yuuto as they pick a young DT who will keep the middle of the defensive line strong for a decade.

San Jose protect Tyron Brackenridge LB

Round 4 – Pick 1

Berlin Fire Salamanders pick Magnus Vladyr S (Yellowknife Wriaths S23 – 573 TPE)

Berlin go back to back to back with the defensive picks to build up their defense as there two GM’S are WR’S. They go with the man who sounds like a 9th century Viking to patrol the back end of their defense and pillage some turnovers from the opposition.

Yellowknife protects Matthias Hanyadi RB

Round 4 – Pick 2

NY Silverbacks pick Jackson Kingston WR (Colorado Yeti S23 – 583 TPE)

NY select their 1st receiver and it’s Jackson Kingston. Kingston is a high earning young player who will be an integral part of this offense for years.

Colorado has no more protection slots.

Round 5 – Pick 1

NY Silverbacks select Saba Donut WR (Arizona Outlaws S17 – 1041 TPE)

NY go back to back with receivers with the pick of Saba Donut. Saba will be a good mentor to Jackson and by the sounds of his name? Someone to bring in donuts everyday to the locker room and who wouldn’t love that?

Arizona protect Sandro Ryeu DE

Round 5 – Pick 2

Berlin Fire Salamanders select Rando Cardrissian RB (San Jose Sabercats S21 – 725 TPE)

Berlin double up on running backs with the selection of Rando. Rando and Fuzzy are a double act to fear,

San Jose has no more protection slots.

(At this point I’ve realised I should have started this earlier as the NFL is about to start so let’s get this done ASAP)

Round 6 -  Pick 1

Berlin Fire Salamanders select Tomage McGullger CB (Austin Coppherheads S23 – 380 TPE)

A Strange sounding name? Check A young high earning cornerback with a good shot at being a standout player in his future? Check.

Austin has no more protection slots.

Round 6 – Pick 2

NY Silverbacks selects Pete Parker S (Colorado Yeti S18 – 874 TPE)

Pete Parker, Pete Parker
Does whatever a Pete Parker can
Makes a tackle, any size
Catches balls just like flies
Look out
Here comes the Pete Parker

Colorado has no more protection slots.

Round 7 – Pick 1

NY Silverbacks selects Hank “Beefcake” Steel DT (New Orleans Second Line S22 – 545 TPE)

With a nickname like Beefcake and a sig that includes the Macho Man Randy Savage (OH YEAHHH) this is a man that will be throwing elbow drops all over opposition players.

New Orleans protect Jordan Andrews CB

Round 7 – Pick 2

Berlin Fire Salamanders select Forrest Gump RB (New Orleans Second Line    - 918 TPE)

Life is like a box of chocolates. Does it apply to football? No but Forrest Gump said it so it’s relevant to him.

New Orleans has no more protection slots.

Round 8 – Pick 1

Berlin Fire Salamanders select Jack Banks LB (Honolulu Hahalua S22 – 610 TPE)

Is Jack Banks a strange or funny sounding name? No but I’ve decided to put him in here so deal with it.

Honolulu protect Asher Montain DE.

Round 8 – Pick 2

NY Silverbacks select Mario VonPebbles DE (Chicago Butchers S22 – 678 TPE)
NY has to be happy with picking a multi talented guy like Mario, awesome defensive end and so so director? Good pick up.

Chicago has no more protection slots.

Round 9 – Pick 1

NY Silverbacks select select Lesean Paris Crooks CB (S23 Baltimore Hawks  - 568 TPE)

With a name like something you would get a name generator on the internet, NY get a Number 1 corner to lock down the opposing teams best receiver.

Baltimore protect Nuniq Annastesia DT

Round 9 – Pick 2

Berlin Fire Salamanders  select Alex Dasistwirklichseinnachname K/P (Orange County Otters  - 589 TPE)

What a name this is. With the great Thomas Muller as his sig as well, can it get better? I wouldn’t say so. Berlin has their kicker.

Orange County has no more protection slots.

Round 10 – Pick 1

Berlin Fire Salamanders select Gregor McGregor LB (S21 Baltimore Hawks – 576 TPE)

Berlin continue to load up on defense with a strong Scottish sounding name in Gregor McGregor.

Baltimore has no more protection slots.

Round 10 – Pick 2

NY Silverbacks select BIG EDD DT (S22 Sarasota Sailfish – 510 TPE)

BIG EDD is a name that feels like it can only be written in all caps. And when your sig is snorlax, all you can imagine is a beast in the middle of your defensive line.

Sarasota has no more protection slots.

Round 11 – Pick 1

NY Silverbacks select Bruce Buckley OL (Arizona Outlaws – 708 TPE)

If you told NY they would be getting a former offensive lineman of the year in the last round of this draft they would have took it for sure. It’s not the most interesting name but the awards speak for themselves.
Arizona has no more protection slots.

Round 11 – Pick 2

Berlin Fire Salamanders select Jacoby Clay WR (Honolulu Hahalua – 481 TPE)

Most of the picks sofar in this draft have been defense so with the last pick of the draft I’ve decided to give Berlin another WR to add to their already potent passing attack.

Honolulu has no more protection slots

So these are the completed teams:

NY Silverbacks:

Bruce Buckley OL (708 TPE)

Jackson Kingston WR (S23 – 583 TPE)

Saba Donut WR (S17 – 1041 TPE)

Bubba Thumper DT (S17 – 1275 TPE)

Rapid Eagle DT (S21 – 753 TPE)

Hank “Beefcake” Steel DT (S22 – 545 TPE)

BIG EDD DT (S22 – 510 TPE)

Mario VonPebbles DE (S22 – 678 TPE)

Pete Parker S (S18 – 874 TPE)

Dukburg Quickstak CB (S25, 265 TPE)

Lesean Paris Crooks CB (S23 – 568 TPE )

Karmichael Hunt K/P (S23 454 TPE)

Berlin Fire Salamanders:

Fuzzy Dotson RB (S23 – 814 TPE)

Rando Cardrissian RB ( S21 – 725 TPE)

Forrest Gump RB (918 TPE)

Asher Quinn WR (S18, 1022 TPE)

Nick Kapercolin WR (S22, 763 TPE)

Jacoby Clay WR (481 TPE)

Son Goku DE (S23 – 615 TPE)

Yuuto Kira Cloudra DT (S23 – 417 TPE)

Jack Banks LB (S22 – 610 TPE)

Gregor McGregor LB (S21 – 576 TPE)

Magnus Vladyr S (S23 – 573 TPE)

Tomage McGullger (S23 – 380 TPE)

Alex Dasistwirklichseinnachname K/P (589 TPE)

In conclusion. I think it’s fair to say once the expansion draft has been and gone this mock draft will not be accurate at all. But these are two teams full of awesome names.

Again if there’s any info that’s wrong then I apologise but I tried.
