The New 'Red Scare' - Ephenssta - 09-24-2020
This league is facing a growing moral danger that, if not addressed, will surely lead to the destruction of the league from within. Communism is an insidious disease, a cancer to our way of life, and we must spare no expense to root it out and abolish it entirely from our league. Failure to immediately act will surely result in us being overrun and our glorious way of life will surely be overrun in a red wave of existential redness.
I have personally had conversations recently that suggest there are already people in positions of power around the league who seek to undermine our way of life and take away our beautiful ISFL Dream. These are individuals who commit, or support those who commit, unspeakable crimes against humanity. These crimes may include, but are surely not limited to: enjoying strawberry milk (probably because it’s vaguely reddish in color), drinking milk out of bags (who would do such a thing), messing up in counting twice on the number two (yes, this really happened), GMs having coaches call timeouts before punting the ball away while in the opponent’s territory while losing in the final two minutes of the championship games, throwing pick-sixes during the championship game, and other such subversions that are so uniquely cruel only a commie bastard could come up with them. My fellow sim leaguers, this cannot be allowed to continue.
I have here in my hand a list of 205 users that were known to the Head Office as being members of the communist Party and who nevertheless are still working in shaping the trajectory of the International Simulation Football League. In fact, we the people should be direly concerned that Head Office itself has been infiltrated by some of said communists. They have, after all, told us directly that part of their grand plan is to take money out of the economy. Additionally, they have attempted to expand the state-sponsored sectors of the economy by adding departments left and right that are fully under their control and have made it so that only they, not the Free Market, have the power to change salaries. This unabashed abuse of state power must not go uncontested. We must defend our sim league, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the forums, we shall fight on the twitters, we shall fight in the media; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this sim league or a large part of it were subjugated and red, then our league beyond the internet, armed and guarded by their anti-communist ideals, would carry on the struggle until, in God’s good time, the new sim league, with all its power and might, steps forth to rescue and liberate the old from the clutches of communist infiltrators.
I urge you, my fellow sim leaguers, to root out the communists in your team spaces and to fight with me to ensure the freedom of our league, now and forever.
Remember, my dear media graders, that a failure to properly compensate me for this masterpiece could be considered anti-capitalist.
