*ISFL Prediction End of Season Awards - ajtigger - 09-24-2020 Hello everyone, you may remember my week 7 article that showed who was doing the best, and worst, at predicting outcomes in the ISFL point threads. Well I am back with a full season analysis and mine own versions of awards for predictions. Please allocate 20% of the money in this article to @speculadora as without him I would have never figured out how to do this on a team level. Notes on the data: This is all copy and pasted from the point threads then delineated in columns in excel. There are some possible errors but they will be minor. (seriously you guys with multiple word names made this more difficult than I wanted. For team information I used the TPE tracker. Some information may be out of date or inaccurate there but I felt team awards would be fun so decided to use the best and fastest estimator of team. For clarity there were 35 users that were not mapped to a team that did make predictions during the season. Finally, this is all supposed to be a bit of fun so if your team was last know that it's just what the data says and not that I think you guys suck at predicting this stuff or anything. And now to the awards.... "Everyone copy this guy" award This award is given to the user who earned the most TPE over the course of the season. The winner is Timeconsumer with an absolutely amazing 39 TPE awarded this season. For those doing quick math, yes that is a little less than 2.5 TPE a week. There was a 3 way tie for second on this award with Beebob, IsaStarcrossed, and SchwarzNarr getting 38 TPE for the season. Next is the "Go buy a lottery ticket already" award This award is given to the user who had the most round ups of TPE for the season (i.e. 2.5 to 3.0 TPE). This award was split between IsaStarcrossed and SchwarzNarr. Both users were rounded up in a staggering 12 of the 16 weeks. Imagine getting that lucky 75% of the time. I wonder if they are this lucky in the Sim too Our third award is the "Don't ever step foot in a casino" award This award is given to the user who had the fewest round ups during the season and is therefore the most unlucky user. Note there were many users who did not submit in a majority of the weeks so I chose the person who participated in a majority for this award as they were truly the unluckiest. The winner of this award is Z-Whiz, who was only rounded up in 2 weeks despite participating in every single point thread. Z-Whiz earned 32 TPE on the season meaning that 31 of the TPE was not from being rounded up. Truly an unlucky user but still a very solid guesser. Hopefully the law of averages is in their favor next season. And now our last award for individual users "The get a job as an analyst" award This award is given to the user who made the most correct picks during the season. The winner this year is actually two members of our league. So congratulations to BkFootball and FleshBagSoup. The two of you predicted 70 games correctly this year, an absolutely amazing performance. There were three users tied for second place who successfully predicted 68 games. No one had a nice time and predicted 69 ![]() Now for the team honors.... For the best team in terms of TPE earned we have in the DSFL the London Royals with an amazing 559 TPE earned in the ISFL the winning team was the Colorado Yeti at 472 TPE earned the bottom team for each division were the Baltimore Hawks and the Kansas City Coyotes. Now for the luckiest teams, those who were rounded up the most during the course of the season. in the DSFL, we have the Portland Pythons with 130 round ups during the season for their players in the ISFL, we have the Arizona Outlaws with 104 round ups during the season for their players The unluckiest teams were as follows DSFL the Dallas Birddogs with 75 round ups ISFL the Baltimore Hawks with only 50.... 8 lower than the closest team, the Liberty. And now for the final award... what team actually predicted the most games correctly in the DSFL our winner is the london royals who as a team successfully pick 1011 games correctly (the only team over 1000 games) the ISFL winner was the Colorado Yeti with 841 correct games. The teams bringing up the rear were the DSFL Kansas City Coyotes with 616 games ISFL Baltimore hawks with 398 games ![]() Well that will wrap it up for my short awards list. I hope you enjoyed the little bit of fun we could have looking at predictions. I plan on doing this at least at the end of all seasons moving forward, so please let me know if you have any ideas for things that should be included. Also right now this is just a very rudimentary excel sheet so if someone actually wants to see it just let me know and I will try and send it over discord. Thanks everyone, Ajtigger RE: ISFL Prediction End of Season Awards - SchwarzNarr - 09-24-2020 Apparently Isa and I do pretty decently when we think about predictions together and copy one another. Time to do it again for next season. RE: ISFL Prediction End of Season Awards - Z-Whiz - 09-24-2020 Wow, I'm so honored. Thanks. RE: ISFL Prediction End of Season Awards - speculadora - 09-24-2020 Whoever grades this, I decline the 20% offered to me.
