Halfway through the second quarter Sergio Kitchens punched the ball in from 2 yards out to score Kansas City's second touchdown of the game. Thomason's second extra point attempt was good. Early in the third quarter, off the back of a 67 yard kickoff return Kansas City scored a third touchdown. Thomason was once again successful in kicking the extra point. Early in the fourth quarter Kansas City scored their fourth touchdown of the game. History repeated itself again as Thomason scored his fourth extra point of the game. After scoring a touchdown in every quarter last week Kansas City slowed down on offense in week 10. Their first score was a touchdown late in the second quarter. Thomason kicked the extra point. Late in the fourth quarter Kansas City QB Covington found Whebet for a 5 yard touchdown pass. Thomason's extra point attempt was successful. After a near pick six by the Kansas City defense Covington found Cooper in the end zone for a 1 yard touchdown pass. Thomason kept his streak of extra points on this article, as he once again scored an extra point. Kansas City's first shot of adrenaline in the arm came when their return man returned a kick for 80 yards to the Portland 19 yard line. Unfortunately they took 1/100th of the recommended dose as the drive stalled out immediately after. Thomason lined up for a 24 yard field goal attempt. Thomason's kick was right down the middle, scoring three points for Kansas City. After a fumble recovery just 30 seconds after the field goal Kansas City's offense marched down the remainder of the field to score their first touchdown of the game. Thomason's extra point try was good. With just over nine minutes remaining in the second quarter Covington found Campbell for an 18 yard TD pass. Late in the fourth quarter Covington found Raccoon for a 16 yard TD pass. Thomason remained perfect on the game going 6/6 in kicks, as his final kick of the game was good. In what was a very bad game of football for Kansas City in week 12 they scored only once. A 35 yard field goal by Thomason early in the second quarter was the only points Kansas City scored. Outside of that Thomason punted the ball 7 times for 327 yards. Late in the first quarter Kansas City QB Covington led a 6 minute drive downfield that stalled out on the Minnesota 4 yard line. Kansas City decided to let Thomason attempt a 21 yard chip shot field goal. Thomason did not miss the chip shot. After another long drive in the third quarter, this time a 9 minute drive Kansas City stalled out on the Minnesota 6 yard line. Thomason attempted a 23 yard field goal, his kick was right down the middle, and scored another three points for Kansas City. Late in the third quarter the Kansas City defense got an interception. Two plays (and 2 penalties) later, Kansas City gets a touchdown. Thomason successfully kicked the extra point. Kansas City lost that game. They now find themselves in a must win situation in week 14 to make the playoffs. In a drive that took up half the first quarter Kansas City drove down to the London 22 yard line before finding themselves staring at 4th and 15. Thomason who had been perfect the past 5 weeks attempted a 39 yard field goal. His kick was wide right, and no good. This may come back to haunt him. Early in the second quarter Covington found Whebet for a 3 yard TD pass. Thomason's extra point attempt was good. Late in the second quarter, forty three seconds remaining on the clock, Kansas City has driven down to within the London 5 yard line. His kick was through the uprights, and went above the crossbar for a successful field goal. Kansas City would not score again. Their season was over. Minnesota Grey Ducks Bill Brasky Week 9: 1/2 Extra points, 0/1 Field goals (0/1 40-49 yards) Week 10: 1/1 Extra points, 3/3 Field goals (1/1 20-29 yards, 1/1 30-39 yards, 1/1 40-49 yards) Week 11: 1/1 Extra points, 2/2 Field goals (1/1 20-29 yards, 1/1 30-39 yards) Week 12: 0/0 Extra points, 0/0 Field goals Week 13: 2/2 Extra points, 1/1 Field goals (1/1 40-49 yards) Week 14: 1/1 Extra points, 1/1 Field goals (1/1 20-29 yards) Total: 6/7 Extra points, 7/8 Field goals (3/3 20-29 yards, 2/2 30-39 yards, 2/3 40-49 yards) After being stopped entirely in the first quarter, Minnesota's running game finally got something going in the second quarter as they led a 5 minute drive that ended on Norfolk's side of the field. Bill Brasky had a chance to score Minnesota's first points of the game, and tie the second longest successful field goal of the season. He did neither of these things as his kick was wildly inaccurate. Late in the second quarter Minnesota RB Rotchburns punched the ball in from 4 yards out to score their first points of the game. Brasky's extra point attempt was successful in scoring one point for Minnesota. With just over a minute left in the game Minnesota scored another touchdown, securing their lead over Minnesota. Brasky missed the extra point attempt, going 1/3 in kicks on the game. After missing most of his kicks last week the Brasky device seems to have been recalibrated during the week. Late in the first quarter Brasky attempted a 38 yard field goal, and unlike last week he was accurate, his kick was right down the middle, scoring three points for Minnesota. Minnesota had an 8 minute drive heavily fueled by their run game in the second quarter. It ended in a 1 yard touchdown pass. Brasky's extra point attempt was good. With just over nine minutes remaining in the third quarter Minnesota found themselves in the red zone but on 4th and goal from the six yard line. Brasky lined up for a 23 yard field goal attempt, and remained accurate as his kick was once again good. Halfway through the fourth quarter Minnesota found themselves down by 2, needing points they allowed Brasky to attempt a 43 yard field goal. Brasky's kick was good for the fourth time this game, and he ended up kicking the game winner 8 minutes before the game was over. Brasky kept up his accuracy in week 11 as late in the first quarter he lined up for a 31 yard field goal attempt. His kick was good. Halfway through the second quarter after a turnover, Minnesota had a 4 minute drive that ended on the Tijuana 5 yard line. Brasky successfully scored a 22 yard field goal try. After a near pick six by the Minnesota defense, they scored a touchdown 2 plays later. Brasky's extra point attempt was successful again. Minnesota was shut out in week 12, turning the ball over only once, but failing to do anything on offense as their 2 QBs combined for 79 yards on 23 attempts. The run game failed to do much as well as they all combined for 88 yards on 27 attempts. Brasky punted the ball 9 times for 395 yards. Early in the second quarter of week 13 Minnesota was able to do something they had not been able to do last week, score a touchdown. A 7 yard run by SnowBow was what got them this score, and Brasky's extra point try was successful. With 7 seconds left in the second quarter Minnesota found themselves 24 yards from the end zone. Instead of going for a touchdown, which they were not likely to get, they attempted a 41 yard field goal. Brasky wanting to prove a point that week 9 was a fluke, was successful in kicking another field goal, keeping his streak since week 10 alive. Late in the fourth quarter down by 3 Minnesota scored a touchdown. Brasky's extra point attempt put Minnesota ahead by 4 points, a field goal now would not send the game to overtime. Minnesota won that game. In week 14 Minnesota got slaughtered, they lost 10-54. Their first points came late in the second quarter when Brasky successfully kicked a 22 yard field goal, but by then they were already down 3-31. Minnesota cut into that lead late in the third quarter, scoring a touchdown and successfully kicking the extra point to be down by only 20. Just to be safe Myrtle Beach added three more touchdowns in the fourth quarter to prevent any kind of comeback, just to secure their lead. Portland Pythons Pseudo QB Week 9: 2/2 Extra points, 1/1 Field goals (1/1 30-39 yards) Week 10: 1/1 Extra points, 2/2 Field goals (1/1 20-29 yards, 1/1 30-39 yards) Week 11: 1/1 Extra points, 3/3 Field goals (1/1 20-29 yards, 2/2 40-49 yards) Week 12: 1/1 Extra points, 3/3 Field goals (1/1 <20 yards, 1/1 30-39 yards, 1/1 40-49 yards) Week 13: 4/4 Extra points, 2/2 Field goals (1/1 20-29 yards, 1/1 40-49 yards) Week 14: 3/3 Extra points, 2/2 Field goals (1/1 20-29 yards, 1/1 30-39 yards) Playoffs round 1: 0/0 Extra points, 1/1 Field goals (1/1 30-39 yards) Total: 12/12 Extra points, 14/14 Field goals (1/1 <20 yards, 4/4 20-29 yards, 5/5 30-39 yards, 4/4 40-49 yards) Early in week 9 Portland scored a touchdown off of a London fumble early in the game. Late in the third quarter Portland once again found themselves on 4th down in the red zone, and decided to take another field goal. This would be their last score of the game. QB's 24 yard field goal attempt was good. late in the first quarter of week 11 no points had been scored by either team, then QB lined up for a 45 yard field goal attempt, and he was perfect on all field goals to this point, why would he stop being perfect now? His kick was accurate, and had the distance to score three points for Portland. Halfway through the second quarter Portland found themselves at the Kansas City 8 yard line, but staring at fourth down. They decided to let QB kick a 25 yard field goal, and his kick was right down the middle. With twenty eight seconds left in the second quarter QB walked onto the field for a 43 yard field goal attempt, his kick was good once again. After the offense was unable to score the entire game the defense decided to do it themselves, Portland's defense picked off Kansas City and returned the ball for a touchdown. QB's extra point attempt was good. Portland's offense was shut down for the entire first quarter, and most of the second quarter in week 12, finally managing to score points late in the second quarter. Facing 4th and goal from the Myrtle Beach 2 yard line, instead of going for it, Portland decide to attempt the field goal. QB lined up for a 19 yard chip shot field goal attempt. QB drilled the chip shot through the uprights, scoring Portland's first points of the game. And with no time left in the game Portland wanted to add more to their score, so they let QB attempt a 27 yard field goal. QB went 6/6 on kicks that game as his field goal attempt was good, and he remained perfect on the season, one game without missing a field goal, and he would secure 100% field goals made on the season. Halfway through the first quarter Portland found themselves in the red zone but on fourth down, instead of going for a touchdown Portland decide to score the first points of the game, attempting a 24 yard field goal with the most accurate kicker in the DSFL. This sent the game to overtime where Portland eventually lost, but due to the outcome of another game they made the playoffs. In the first round of playoffs Portland went against London, having already beaten them twice surely this would be easy. Their quarterback went 17/40 for 147 yards, and an interception. The run game wasn't much better as they ran the ball a total of 23 times for 97 yards. The kick looked accurate, and it had the distance, in total the ball spent 4 seconds in the air. Fencik drilled the ball through the uprights, and kicked a game winning field goal for London. It was celebration time on the London sideline. This game lit a fire under London, they would carry this momentum into all but one of their remaining games. London secured home field advantage in the first round of playoffs. After losing both games in the regular season to Portland, London was out for blood, and their defense showed up forcing 2 3 and outs to start the game. After London was stopped at Portland's 36 yard line, looking at 4th and 1 they decided to do something to prove a point. Portland's kicker Pseudo QB had not missed a field goal all season, and his longest of the season was 50 yards. Fencik hit the chip shot field goal. 30 seconds later Mattress Cadaire forced a fumble on Norfolk's QB, Juan Domine fell on the ball, London now had possession with less than 6 minutes remaining in the game. After a penalty Cortez found King for a 3 yard touchdown pass. London had taken the lead and to secure it Fencik successfully kicked his third extra point of the game. London's defense would prove to be too much to overcome for Norfolk's offense as London forced a turnover on downs with 1:33 left on the clock. London won the game 24-17. |
