*ISFL S25 Colorado vs. Sarasota Roster Comparison - platanocat - 10-04-2020
The beginning of the ISFL season starts tomorrow with Week 1!! As of right now, we can only speculate how well these teams with the data currently available to us. With the finalizing of their rosters, I decided to breakdown each team by the amount of TPE at each position. For this analysis, the 22 player active rosters for each team that was available in the TPE Tracker was used.
Quarterback
Advantage: Sarasota +29 TPE
Players:
1. Dexter Banks II: 884 TPE
2. Wolfie McDummy: 855 TPE
Takeaway:
Close race for the advantage at the quarterback position. I’m surprised how close Wolfie McDummy is to Dexter Banks II. Being one year older than Wolfie, Dexter only has +29 TPE?
Running Back
Advantage: Colorado +366 TPE
Players:
1. Darrel Williams: 1090 TPE
2. Raphtalia Chan: 1073 TPE
3. Richard Gilbert: 764 TPE
4. Running Back: 415 TPE
Takeaway:
Top earners and young players, these teams will have these heavy hitters for many seasons to come. I wonder if Raphtalia Chan and Darrel Williams are friends or if they hate each other.
Wide Receiver
Advantage: Sarasota +398
Players:
1. Rayne Gordon: 1097 TPE
2. Michael Witheblock: 859 TPE
3. William Lim: 847 TPE
4. Leeroy Jenkins: 711 TPE
Takeaway:
Sarasota found an advantage at the wide receiver position. They have the top two highest TPE earners despite 3 out of the 4 being from S22. Rayne Gordon from S19 can keep that crown for a while longer.
Tight End
Advantage: Colorado +162
Players:
1. Earl Sauce: 880 TPE
2. James Angler: 831 TPE
3. Dave Batista: 350 TPE
4. Cleg Manclaw: 237 TPE
Takeaway:
Relatively close race at tight end. Looks like both teams are focusing on the traditional setup of pairing their one vet with a younger protégé.
Offensive Line
Advantage: Colorado +701 TPE
Players:
1. Mo “Mamba” Magic: 751 TPE
2. Dick Thruster: 427 TPE
3. Clay Stallworth: 272 TPE
4. Thad Pennington Jr: 205 TPE
Takeaway:
Although these teams are even at roster depth, these OLine corps are not close at all. Colorado has all the vets, and all the advantage. Tough going rookies.
Defensive End
Advantage: Colorado +305 TPE
Players:
1. Immanuel Blackstone: 1054 TPE
2. Son Goku: 679 TPE
3. Mike Karpaasi: 509 TPE
4. Ismael Sanchez: 390 TPE
5. Albert Ruschmann: 338 TPE
6. Arlington Heights: 289 TPE
Takeaway:
Colorado is able to pull ahead on defense too? Dang. One this is for sure: Albert Ruschmann has some catching up to do.
Defensive Tackle
Advantage: Sarasota +547 TPE
Players:
1. Big Edd: 547 TPE
Takeaway:
Okay… so Colorado has no defensive tackles. Interesting strategy. If it weren’t for this positional advantage, Colorado would have taken off with the race long ago.
Linebacker
Advantage: Colorado +68
Players:
1. Haha Mango-Panda: 838 TPE
2. Fawn Dillmiballs: 801 TPE
3. Warren Stephens: 725 TPE
4. Adelie de Pengu: 695 TPE
5. Melvin Murder-Moose: 499 TPE
6. Dexter Jackson: 212 TPE
Takeaway:
Super close competition in the linebacker corps. The size of this group makes it a little easier for the average TPE to even out, but Colorado still pulls ahead.
Cornerback
Advantage: Colorado +709 TPE
Players:
1. Louisiana Purchase: 1042 TPE
2. Rotticus Scott: 908 TPE
3. Xavien Adams: 727 TPE
4. Harrison Andrews: 514 TPE
Takeaway:
At first I thought Colorado had such huge advantage at cornerback because Sarasota just had rookies, but that’s not really the case. There’s only an average 3 season advantage for Colorado, so Sarasota’s cornerbacks have a little work to do.
Safety
Advantage: Sarasota +570
Players:
1. Jamie Nkiah: 1000 TPE
2. Cuco Clemente: 870 TPE
3. Greedy Sly: 702 TPE
4. Pete Parker: 700 TPE
5. Beat: 563 TPE
6. Joel Drake: 461 TPE
Takeaway:
Hey what to you know? Sarasota found a defensive position that they’re better at without having a roster depth advantage. It surprises me though that Sarasota’s oldest player, Beat, is their weakest link.
Kicker/Punter
Advantage: Colorado +12 TPE
Players:
1. Silver Banana: 620 TPE
2. Jacob Small: 608 TPE
Takeaway:
While these kickers are almost the same, I wonder how big their impact will be in this upcoming game. It honestly might come down to a field goal.
Overall, you can total each team’s points in two ways. You can simply add the total amount of TPE each roster has accumulated as shown:
Colorado Total: 14,809 TPE
Sarasota Total: 14,030 TPE
Or you can total up the amount of advantage points each team has:
Advantage Points:
Colorado: +2323 TPE
Sarasota: +1544 TPE
The Colorado versus Sarasota Matchup is one of our primetime games during week 1! That being said, Colorado has a +779 TPE advantage over Sarasota. Sarasota keeps some advantages on defense, but Colorado has the clear overall advantage on paper. We’ll see tomorrow if that holds true.

Great write up! Colorado did recently sign TE Gronk Robertkowski the other day, so that gap is a bit bigger
