S25 DSFL Newsletter - TomHanks - 10-28-2020 Goooooood evening DSFL!! Now, it has been far far too long since y’all heard from the DSFL HO in a public forum, but ya boy has had a new job and a whole lot going on irl. Now that we’re back into the swing of things, you’ll be seeing more of us in general (hopefully only in good ways). In general though, your DSFL GMs, Simmers, and Rookie Mentors have been doing a fabulous job so there hasn’t been a big need for intervention from us in a hot minute. Nevertheless, we’re always working to improve the league, and today we’re going to share a little snippet of what’s going on behind the scenes. The Fate of our Interns A huge thank you to our interns who have been involved in the DSFL HO for roughly a season now, @roastfuego and @Faded. Both have been assets to the office and have been able to provide a variety of perspectives on a wide range of issues that we’ve come across in the last weeks. While Soup will be moving on from HO and be able to focus more on being the GM of the Liberty, we are thrilled to be able to offer a full time HO position to Faded!! We’re all very excited to see what he’ll be able to offer with a more significant position in HO. He’s been ever present in chat and has shown serious dedication to the league in his time as an intern. One thing I will note is that we got ourselves shifted off schedule last season, and going forward we want to be hiring interns for a full season rather than partway through the season. With that in mind, our new hires will be with us for the duration of this season and for next season, which brings me too... New Interns!! It is with great pride and deepest pleasure, that I may introduce you all to the newest members of DSFL HO, @Swanty and @GuitarMaster116! Both gave fantastic interviews and had some really interesting ideas as to how to build the DSFL to greater heights than before. We can’t wait to be able to help them achieve their goals as a part of HO and more importantly, have them help us make the DSFL a better place for everyone. These are relatively new users to the league which could be seen as a bit of a risk, but the fact that they’re either fresh out of the DSFL or still in it as a send down means that they are exactly the right people to help identify issues within the league and find creative solutions to them. Now, as promised, a new lil project we’ve been working on... Dotts Raffles! With the help of one of our many wonderful DSFL GMs, @"simo_393", we’ll be starting a new program in conjunction with everyone’s favourite sim league trading card company, Dotts! Once a week, there will be a new thread posted here: “link”. If you are below the 250 TPE cap in the DSFL and have completed all of your TPE tasks for the week (Activity Check, Training, Predictions, and your PT), post links to those completed tasks in that week’s thread. For every 25 people who enter every week or part thereof, 1 pack will be up for the raffle (i.e. if less than 25 people enter, 1 pack will be up for raffle, if more than 25 but less than 50 people enter, 2 packs will be up for raffle, and so on and so forth). Simo will be running the raffle weekly so everyone give a huge shout out to him!  Give a huge shout out to the hardworking folks over at Dotts for making this all possible too! And finally give a massive shout out to yourselves, rookies, for max earning and being able to enter the raffle! This season has been great so far, so let’s keep it going everyone! To everyone who is in the DSFL, do me a favour and thank your GMs for making this season so nice for all of us in HO.
