*10 outta 10 EP:5 ISFL Draft picks 1-8 - LatinViking - 11-09-2020

Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to Green Bay's favorite sport talk show.
My name is Richard Littlewood and I am your very own host in this beautiful show that we like to call 10 outta 10!!
with the S25 Regular season coming to an end. I would like to take a moment away from the season 25 playoffs to stand up and speak about a little recap of every team and my future as a draftee.

But let's cut all this chatter and DIIIIVE head first onto my opinion and some sort of mock draft trying to solve each team's major need for the S26 first round.

1)Berlin Fire Salamanders:
Well the meanders took the "fire" part of their name way too serious and sadly that lovely dumpster fire ended up earning the first overall pick with an impressive record of 3-13-0.
With wins against the silverbacks, liberty and a 2 points win against the sabercats, finding what was their weakest link was a bit hard. But I found it, having an elite run game and a young and up-and-coming offensive game, their biggest need right now it's to get more tools into the defense, more specifically, putting more pressure on the opponent's QB. For that reason I decided to go with the best one in the dsfl. Mister Leonard Taylor is the answer to their pleads. A speady edge rusher with 260 tpe ready to go up and make immediate impact on Berlin's defense.

Biggest need: LB
Our pick: Leonard Taylor - Myrtle Beach Buccaneers.

2)New York Silverbacks
With a 4-12-0 Record, we can't really say that the silverbacks are on a better position than the Salamanders.
They did nail 3 wins in a row, against teams like Honolulu and New Orleans with a plus 10 points lead and that's great, but ranking 12th in both points against and rush yards given. Their biggest need its to find a solid run stopper and I have his guy.
Ernest Lover! (But dick! How can a Defensive End help to stop the run!!) ease it up folks, Lover here ranks 2nd among Defensive Ends, with 70 tackles (2 behind the leader) 10 for a loss (10th in the league) 7 sacks and a forced fumble he proved that not only he could pressure the pass, but stop the run to limit yardage as much as possible.

Biggest need: Run Defense

Our pick:Ernest Lover - London Royals

3)New Orleans Second Line
Now with both expansion teams out of the way we go to enjoy some of that Mardi Gras spirit! New Orleans everyone!!! And the second line maybe partied way too hard, just a quick look at their Roster proves that they have the talent to be a top team! With solid players left, right and center!! I might get some heat from this... But the problem resides in the coaching, the talent is there and the roster is almost full, but they don't have a full back so we're going that route this time the second line will pick the best player in the class... I present you Cobra Kai,
With a 5,1 yards per attempt, Kai is the finnese answer for the full back position. There's not a lot to say about him, Max earner, leading the class, plug and play. Period.

Biggest need: New Gameplan
Our Pick: Cobra Kai - Dallas Birddogs

4)Philadelphia Liberty
The bells are calling... The Liberty it's the first of four teams with a 7-9-0 record and one with two clear weaknesses, running the ball and defending against the run, with rookie players in all the key positions to fix that problem we're gonna prepare for the future and with an aging quarterback, it's just safe to assume that the Philadelphia Liberty will try to get his hands on the quarterback of the future to lead this team once Phoenix Retires. And here is where Ryan Negs enters to the game, the smartest QB in the dsfl (Rocking 88 int at the time being) is the perfect choice for a rookie offense like te one the liberty runs. Having an aging offensive line it's what puts Negs Gunslinger style over LeBron James III pocket passer approach, once Negs comes to the big leagues, he'll be ready to beam it up across the field even with a sub par pocket.

Biggest Need: Develop their already good players.
Our Pick: Ryan Negs - Minnesota Grey Ducks

5)Yellowknife Wraiths
The second of our 7-9 teams find the Wraiths, a team with a really potent offensive game and a strong defense against the run, but a team that can't stop the passing game. On a league where the vertical game it's the bread and butter of most offenses, having a top notch secondary it's key, and what better than add
Moe Skeeter to cover those huge holes at both Strong Safety and Corner back.
Skeeter it's a fan favorite and a Defensive rookie of the year, putting tons of tackles and being the only player in the dsfl to return 2 interceptions for a touchdown each. And that's the kind of player a team like the Wraiths need, someone who can actually make the opposing team feel that trying to pass its a risky option.

Biggest need: Cornerback and Safety
Our Pick:Moe Skeeter - Portland Pythons

6)Austin Copperheads
We move to Austin to find a team that ain't great in any specific way but it's not horrible either. The Copperheads are a team mhe to watch, being just OK in all our metrics maybe a bit of fresh blood will pump this team into the competitive state they should be, that's why they'll fill their Linebacker depth chart and pick BamBam McMullet from the Luchadores.

Biggest need:
Our Pick: BamBam McMullet - Tijuana Luchadores

7)Baltimore Hawks
The hawks are an 8-8 team with a point differential of -34 with one of the worst running offenses in the league, there's no other way to say it, their other big need it's blocking the pass,I feel like their run game will be addressed this offseason (I hope so for all the Baltimore fans reading this) and their lack of depth at safety makes me put Derek Wildstar going to them, already a fast guy that only will get better, the Kansas City Coyotes Safety is the answer to those deep treats currently running freely in Baltimore inzone.

Biggest need: Safety
Our Pick: Derek Wildstar - Kansas City Coyotes

8)Honolulu Hahalua
OK let's sum this up with the team that at least from my point of view, should take Chicago's playoff spot. Coming to the 8th overall pick with an 8-8 record and a +23 point differential Honolulu misses the ayoff being the 2nd most scoring team of the league, their rookie defense it's missing one piece to prove that they are here to fight for a cup.
Comming from Norfolk Dogwood Maple it's the approach that we would like to see the Hahalua take, an all rounder safety that will help them greatly fix that pass defense while limiting yardage and boosting an already solid run defense. In other words the comple package.
Biggest need: Safety
Our Pick : Dogwood Maple - Norfolk SeaWolves

Ok ladies and gentlemen, boys and kids of every age! That's all we have for now,. Don't worry there will be more fixing this once we get our champion crowned and we get closer to draft day.
Please as always remember to write to me with any concern or comments about our work, I will happily answer any questions you may have. I leave you with a little recap at the end for you that are too lazy to read all this, but as always I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I did writing it. Hasta pronto.
