(S26) - PT 3 - Oh, the Who-manity!

Complete the weekly Point Task to earn 3 TPE! All written responses must be at least 200 words. All graphic responses must show at least some effort.

Do not claim this TPE until it has been graded and posted to the S26 claim thread.

Written and graphic responses must be posted solely in this thread and not for additional media credit.
Also, if you try to build your word count by being super repetitive and rambling on, you will not get full credit.

We’ve had a number of incidences involving PT plagiarism. If you are caught stealing someone else’s work, you will be punished as HO sees fit, including the potential loss of TPE or money. Do your own work please.

This task is due next Sunday, December 20th, at 11:59 EDT. Have fun and get writing!

Written Option: Your GM has asked everyone on the team to spend some time contributing to the community over the holidays. Where or how would your player spend their time volunteering? Would we find them in a children’s hospital meeting some kids, serving meals at the soup kitchen, or somewhere else? Would they volunteer alone, or with their teammates?

Graphic Option: Show your player volunteering in the community – this can be shown as photo, social media post, magazine article, or other media. The graphic must show more effort than a text box on an unedited image.

Growing up in a small town like Gary, Indiana, Drake was used to helping out around the community and supporting small family-owned businesses. When he received his first ISFL contract the first thing he did with it was to help fund the building of a library in the local high school. Every year, around christmas time, Drake becomes the "Santa" for his small town. Kids write letters to santa and the parents post what they themselves can't afford on a private messaging list for Drake to see, and assist paying for. Recently, Drake has enlisted the help of his teammates and other players around the league to expand the ability of the charity. Most notably Melvin Murder-Moose of the Colorado Yeti and Zoe Watts of the Austin Copperheads have started their own lists for their hometowns. Drake did approach Big Edd, but he was quoted as saying "Bro I already give all my contract money to the local strip clubs". So nobody approaches Big Edd anymore for money. For his service Drake has been given a local park bench named after him to be built in the future once Drake has raised enough money for the bench to be built, after enough money is raised for the park to be made, after enough money is raised for the land for the park to be bought from crazy dave.

PickSix II wouldn't be caught dead doing anything for community, GM sanctioned or not. PickSix II is a football player, not some community do-gooder. If the GM wants to bench me over that nonsense then so be it. PickSix II only cares about football and any activity related to football. I am not a role-model, nor am I here to entertain your kids. Just because I am a ball hawk and can shut down opposing offenses doesn't mean I should have to put on a smile and serve soup to the less fortunate. The less fortunate probably don't even have a TV to watch PickSix in action, so where's the up side to that? There's no profit in charity and that's definitely not what PickSix II is about. PickSix was drafted to play football and that's what he'll do, won't see him at no soup kitchen or playing santa to some whiny brats. There's no feel good story here, only the real life of being a professional athlete. If the fans want to boo me because of my reluctance to do something in community then that's their right. PickSix II gets paid either way. You want an autograph football? pay your ticket, watch the game, and maybe PickSix II will throw one your way. Don't expect charity from PickSix II because he doesn't expect any from you.

There's no better time to help out with charities than over the holidays. In New York, we've made it a point to give back this year and each positional group has taken it upon themselves to try and outdo the others. Clearly, the safeties are the class of the bunch and are so proud of the work we're doing this holiday season. We decided to go to some of the most crowded soup kitchens near our team's facility and help out all month. In our off days, we rotate between serving the food, cleaning the kitchen, and helping to raise money and goods for the inhabitants. This particular soup kitchen is associated with a shelter not far away, which is where we also have decided to spend some of our time. The most rewarding parts for me have been two-fold. First, helping to raise money for winter supplies for the people who need them is so important this time of year. Whether it's socks, gloves, hats, or things like foodstuffs, we are making an immediate difference in our community. The winters in New York are brutally cold so we know these things are getting put to good use. The second part that is really impactful has been serving the hot meals that this soup kitchen provides. Regardless of who needs a meal, why they're there, or how long they've been coming, we treat everybody with respect and dignity and do everything we can to give them one less thing to worry about while they're with us. I may not be the best cook, but I can serve, wash, and clean up with the best of them. We're also raising money for this kitchen and shelter which will help them expand and offer more services to even more individuals. It's truly the time for giving and I'm so fortunate to be in a position where I can help my fellow man, even if it's in this small way.

Since the teams establishment in S22 the Honolulu Hahalua has been very invested in the community of Honolulu, delivering back to the people who allow them to play there and support the team. Over the holiday period several groups will be heading out and giving back to the community. Lavigne will be working at the soup kitchen for the second year back to back since joining the Hahalua. Joining him in the soup kitchen will once again be Bane Kaʻanāʻanā, Keʻokeʻo Kāne-Maikaʻi and Jim Waters. As they dish out the soup, other food items and will be preparing surivival bags for everyone who comes in. They will also be helping out in the adjacent, gym which will be used as shelter during the holiday period. The group will be helping setting up beds and a general holiday enviorment within it, because everyone deserves a place to stay during the holiday period.

A few of the other groups who will be going out during the holidays will be group going to visit hospitals, helping with rebuilds in communities and help with a big cleanup of the beaches. The Hahalua organisation and its players are always happy and eager to give back to those who need it.

As many people already know from his contract, Adelie de Pengu has already started his own ice cream company. His signature ice cream is krill flavored because obviously that is everyone's favorite snack and no one could possibly ever tell Adelie differently. After all, who could possibly not enjoy some nice krill? With this in mind, if Adelie was asked to outreach with his community, he would obviously funnel it through his ice cream business. He would set up shop in local communities and give out free ice cream while signing gear and talking with the locals. He could spend hours telling them about the benefits of krill flavored ice cream as opposed to traditional sugared ice cream. It'll help the kids grow up big and strong! During these events he would hold fund raisers for environmental awareness while every came for good, free fun. The environment is a big deal to Adelie as his home is being lost due to climate change. His personal community is slowly beginning to dwindle because after all, he is still a penguin. During some events he could even have his best friend and teammate Melvin Murder-Moose come along and help him spread the joy of krill flavored ice cream to all. This would have the appeal of having a second big name player at the events to autograph gear and amuse the masses while Adelie gave out his free ice cream. These would be beautiful, sunny days full of adventure and fun where Adelie could share his love for krill and help his community all at once!
