*Leagues first Slot Receiver - S28, recreate - AMA - Duilio05 - 01-02-2021 So yeah we're going into a new sim and I made the first Slot Receiver Archetype player in the league. I'm a recreate first player S15 Safety Walt Green, new player S28 Wide Receiver Sam the Onion Man. AMA, especially you DSFL GMs in preparation for the draft. RE: Leagues first Slot Receiver - S28, recreate - AMA - woelkers - 01-02-2021 With the Marshals having packed their bags and made the trek north to the shores of Lake Superior, are you at all enthusiastic about the possibility of returning to the now rebranded franchise, or would you prefer to find yourself elsewhere? You've had some modest success with GM work in the past, but slipped into inactivity for a while upon stepping aside from the gig; any interest in returning to front office work, or do you expect to find your fun in other endeavors? As you're well aware, wide receiver is a crowded position, and tough to find success at in this league; how do you expect to make yourself stand out among the herd? With the knowledge that S28 is going to be a Reddit class, are you excited to be jockeying for draft position with a larger group of players again, or does that make you nervous? Thanks for the tough questions woelkers. With the rebrand i find myself more open to playing for any team in the DSFL. My goals are the same as my previous player, one and done season. I have found myself with a lot of connections to all of the dsfl teams. The current GMs from Baltimore are both from Kansas City. I drafted about half of London's initial team to Baltimore. I have a good friendship with Tom Hanks and several others who are from Tijuana. And as you mention history playing/gming for San Antonio/Minnesota. I could see myself playing for any DSFL team, especially being my second player I know its just temporary before going onto an ISFL team. I really enjoyed my time as a GM and was very sad to have to step down from that. The League has changed so much since then and after having a chance to think about what I enjoyed the most about GMing, if I ever got back into a GM gig it would be for a DSFL team. I really enjoyed taking pride in helping the players I drafted learning about how to play in the league and watching them go from relatively unknowns to 1st round draft picks. That said I don't expect that to happen any time soon, I'm really enjoying my time as casino head and having time to produce in-depth media for the league. I'm not worried about jockeying for position in the draft. I know what I want to accomplish with my new player and where I ended up being drafted in the draft isn't going to change that. What I am hoping is that being a slot receiver will give me a slight edge as I expect most WRs will be deep threats or possession. |
