New Year, New New York - woelkers - 01-09-2021
Today, with our season officially at an end, New York has decided to make a change to our front office. After two seasons of service to the team and an unforgettable conference championship appearance, @Bwestfield will be stepping aside from his role as general manager of the Silverbacks, and taking a more relaxed role behind the scenes. None of what this franchise has accomplished to date would have been possible were it not for Westy's dedication to building the best team possible for New York; from inspiring me to take the opportunity of applying for expansion, to agreeing to join me as a founding general manager, I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have had the privilege of working by his side.
Westy leaves big shoes to fill, but both he and I are confident that we've chosen an individual more than capable of excellence. As we move forward, we are thrilled to announce that @zaynzk will be joining me as general manager of the Silverbacks franchise. We've known since the day we drafted him that Zayn brought something special to our team, and we are looking forward to what this team can accomplish with him at the helm.
