There is definitely ways that we can better the idea of a developmental league. On top of having less developed players playing down there, people can have a second player that plays down there but only plays for a year or two?

Everyone will have one player. Only crowded positions will probably stay in the developmental league for long.

What do you guys think? Should we allow existing members to create a player for just one year, after which they automatically retire?

I don't see the problem in playing against bots. Give newbies a chance to really rack up stats and keep them hooked.

My only worry is with the regression timer hitting only after 7 seasons, if a player gets drafted and stuck in the Dev league for more than 1-2 seasons, that leaves him only 5 or less full seasons at the pro level which seems really low and crappy to me. Maybe set a rule that the 1st season is a 'freebie' and their timer doesn't start til the end of their 1st season in the Dev league so they can get a hang of things and build TPE to crack their deep teams roster
